39 degrees here and we’ve turned on the heat for the first time this winter. (Wait. Is it winter or just late fall?)
I hate to break out the ski jacket for this morning’s walk, but I will. I need to start getting acclimated.
We’re seriously looking into going to Alaska in January to see the Northern Lights. Stargazer says this is the last year they’ll be easily visible until 2036.
I’ll be too old for cold then.
This has been on my bucket list a long time–along with visiting St. Petersburg.
At least I should be able to pull off this one. I’m pretty sure Russia is closed for the rest of my life.
Oh, how I would love to visit Alaska again! I hope it all works out for you. There are many old people who live in our cold. Many have sisu. I will be one of them unless the Lord decides otherwise. I am not looking forward to the real cold, however. We will have to take out the winter jackets by this weekend.

I liked your typo Jo. I see red, too, when I have to pay my property taxes (as does my bank account!) 🙂 Yikes. Everything keeps going up and up … I can’t seem to get stabilized right now, tree trimming threw everything off.

It’s been a busier than I like kind of week. Today I determined to go nowhere and get caught up on some chores around here.

Got down to 45 last night. Still no heat on, but I am bundled up.
I took my last bit of red last night to pay for the property taxes and saw what was happening to my accounts. So much for savings

Sounds like it will hit close to eighty today and go up to the mid-eighties by Sunday. Yo-yo weather! Yo don’t like it today? Yo wait until tomorrow!
Thankful that the heating bill will be slacking off when it usually starts cranking up.
