  1. Once again Democrats grant legitimacy to the terrorists of the world.

But be sure to watch out for those extreme MAGA types. They’re the real danger, right?

“The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic has been granted a visa by the US State Department and is currently in New York under the protection of US taxpayers, according to Islamic Republic state media.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian recently had a jovial meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon.

While part of the UN headquarters agreement requires the United States to grant visas to diplomats, there is precedent for denying visas to foreign ministers and other diplomats who engage in behavior counter to US national security interests.”

No, it’s high grade idiocy, the Biden admin’s specialty.

    But only one way tickets.

“Stanford Palestinian activists have released their List of Demands and it includes some amazing stuff

“Full round trip covered by University upon the signing of a ceasefire for students to visit their family and friends and grieve properly.”

Upon the signing of a ceasefire…

“Stanford establishes an investigative committee to correct the directives, faculty, and research initiatives contributing to subjugation of Palestinian people.”

Stanford is not going to agree to a single one of these demands”

    Just gross.

“BREAKING NOW: my sources tell me several Jewish students
@cooperunion are currently locked in the school library as a pro Hamas rally outside of the cooper Union building learnt the Jews were afraid and sitting in the library, then brought the protest inside and are barricading all exits. Police have been called for 40 min and are afraid to get involved. Security locked the students in as they are worried they cannot protect the Jews rn.”

And in Biden’s America, yes, they allow. Heck they even encourage it.

    Yep, and justifiably so.

“Did you know Iranian proxies have attacked America troops 13 times in the past week, injuring 24 Americans and resulting in a fatal heart attack for an American contractor?

The US Dept. of Defense has now confirmed attacks happened at:

The al Asad base in Iraq located west of Baghdad (yes, we STILL have troops in Iraq).

The USS Carney, which intercepted four land-based cruise missiles and 15 drones from Houthi forces.

Al-Harir Air Base near Erbil, Iraq

The Al Tanf Garrison in Syria (yes, we STILL have troops in Syria)

    Another near Baghdad International Airport

One thing is very clear — Iran does not fear us, and they want to provoke a larger regional war.”

“Report: Tlaib Employed Hamas Activists, Had ‘Extensive Fundraising Ties’ to Hamas Supporters”

    https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2023/10/26/report-tlaib-employed-hamas-activists-had-extensive-fundraising-ties-to-hamas-supporters-n587830

“Amazing what one can learn by reading the foreign press, eh?

The independent Canary Mission released a report late yesterday after its investigation into Representative Rashida Tlaib, and it’s a doozy. Canary Mission primarily investigates anti-Semitism on college campuses in the US and North America, and we have linked their reports on two other occasions. No doubt that the last two weeks has them working overtime on their core mission.

However, they did have time to link Tlaib to Hamas activists, fundraising, and indirectly to another terrorist organization to boot:

*Canary Mission can confirm that Rashida Tlaib has extensive fundraising ties to Hamas supporters. She employed no less than three Hamas-linked activists to fundraise for her 2018 election campaign, one of whom spent 8 months in prison for his alleged connections to Hamas.

*Tlaib additionally used a pro-terror Facebook page, PAC-USA, to raise funds for her 2018 Congressional campaign. Tlaib gave the founder of PAC-USA the position of Chairman of the Finance Committee for Rashida Tlaib for Congress. He used it to promote 12 fundraisers in 8 states, entirely with her support.

*In 2015, Tlaib co-founded the Detroit-based, anti-American, anti-Israel and pro-terror hate group, Black4Palestine. A co-founder used the group to conduct activism with members of the Marxist-Leninist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

That seems like quite a story, especially less than three weeks after Hamas murdered dozens of Americans and are currently holding several other Americans hostage. Given Tlaib’s position in US government and her outspoken advocacy against Israel, one would consider this even more noteworthy. And yet the only significant media outlet to report on Canary Mission’s findings is … the Jerusalem Post, where I first came across it while reading about the IDF recon-in-force in Gaza.

The direct links between Tlaib and Hamas activists seem most interesting:

The three fundraisers named were Salah Sarsour, Rafiq Jaber, and Abdelbaset Hamayel.

Sarsour, who was jailed for being connected with Hamas in 1995, co-hosted an event with Tlaib in 2018. The group shared an archived link showing Sarsour’s name appearing on an event flyer. The link can be viewed here.

Jaber has also apparently admitted to helping distribute Hamas’s propaganda in the US. In 2003, he testified that he directed two Hamas front groups to “promote [the Holy Land Foundation] in every way we can” and admitted to distributing pro-martyrdom materials that celebrated the killing of Jews.

The fundraiser is also a co-founder of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Hamayel, the final of the three fundraisers, has worked for multiple Hamas-linked organizations in the United States, all of which are now defunct.

He worked as a representative for the group “KindHearts for Charitable Humanitarian Development,” an organization dissolved in 2011 by the US Department of the Treasury after it was found that they were funneling funds to Hamas.

That just scratches the surface of the Canary Mission report, which has a large number of links back to primary sources. Up to now, Canary Mission has had a good track record of accuracy, and the links in this report seem to stand up to scrutiny. Those links make clear that none of this is secret; it’s just that American media appears to have had no interest in investigating Tlaib’s alleged ties to terrorists up to this point.”

“How the Democrats betrayed the Jews

The sick thrill of antisemitism has a price”

    https://unherd.com/2023/10/how-the-democrats-betrayed-the-jews/

“Many German Jews served the Kaiser during the First World War, and explained to the Nazi thugs that they were Good Germans. And they were killed. And many defended themselves, in the Thirties, by admitting, among themselves, that the Eastern Jews were uncouth; just as today some Western liberal Jews “agree” with the Squad that the terrorists, though they have “gone too far”, “may have a point”: that Israel’s desire to exist is not consonant with an enlightened humanism. This is, in effect, a plea for exemption, not only from terror, but from conscience, for the liberal Jew means the Israelis “are making it hard on the rest of us”. Which is true; for if Israel’s innocent anguish is acknowledged, he will have to admit he has been living a terrible lie.

Many good German Jews in the Thirties ignored their brothers and sisters to the East, and later died with them. My generation, born right after the Holocaust, wondered: “Good God, didn’t you see what was happening around you? Are you literally willing to die rather than admit you were mistaken?” The answer, today, to many liberal American Jews, is “Yes”.

In response, the world’s Leftist media calls for the chastisement of Israel and support for Palestine, while those who consider themselves mere “liberals” moderate their cowardice by calling for a “ceasefire” — which is to say, a pause while Hamas re-arms. This is where the libel of the hospital bombing is instructive. It is, quite literally, another example of the West’s oldest, most reliable, and most permissible sick entertainment: the call for Jewish extinction. The invitation, here, is no different from that of the carnival barker: thrills, chills, and excitement galore.

It began with the fall of the Jewish state in 77 CE. Afterwards, we find the Christian libel that the Jews killed Christ, the medieval information that we slay Christian children to bake their blood into matzoh, that we were the cause of the Second World War; and, currently, that we exist to murder Moslems.

It’s all one horrific attack, and its earliest recorded instance is John 8:44 (of the Jews): “You are of your father, the Devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the Beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth because the truth is not in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Christianity came into being with the destruction of the Jewish State — the adherents were Jews whose Temple and culture had been destroyed. Every new religion, in its foundation myths, slanders its parent faith. In maturity it may revise, “reinterpret”, or ignore the earlier statements. Pope Paul VI’s Bull, Nostra Aetate, repudiated antisemitism.

But the Jewish libel persisted as, since 77 CE, there was no Jewish State. The Jews had no protection whatever: from Cossacks, peasants, pogroms, the Crusades, Hitler, Stalin, and so on. And, so, we were convenient victims as we were powerless, in effect the battered wife of the West. We were at the mercy of anyone who wanted anything we had: our possessions, our children and women, our lives, our hair to make mattresses, our bones to make fertiliser, and our trauma to make Holocaust porn and “News at 11”.

Unprotected, we appealed to Power for decent consideration as Human Beings; and Power in America, the Democratic Party, was always happy to take our money and our votes, and ask us to wait in the Outer Office. As it does today.

The position of the Jews changed in 1948 with the foundation of the Jewish State. But the habits of 2,000 years, now of Liberal Jews (in the diaspora and in Israel) have not changed. These appeal, in the name of humanity, to powers which may believe in humanity, but, unfortunately, do not consider Jews human.

And so, the carnival barker titillates us with the thrills available for a pittance: one dime, one tenth part of the dollar. But the sick thrill of antisemitism also has a price: the surrender of reason, and, with it, of conscience.”

    “The MSM vs. Alternative Media”

    https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/10/26/the-msm-vs-alternative-media-n587693

“There is a reason you come to Hot Air for news and especially analysis, and it’s pretty simple and obvious: the MSM lies to you and everybody else.

It lies by omission. It lies by commission. It lies consciously. And it lies because it begins with a set of assumptions that are just plain insane.

As you know by now, one of my hobby horses is The Narrative™. The Narrative is the illusion of reality that the Establishment wants you to believe, often contradicting your lying eyes.

Once you see that the MSM presents an alternate reality, it is impossible to unsee. Everywhere you look the world doesn’t appear to correspond with what we are being told by the media, our cultural elites, or the politicians. We are told that Israel is an apartheid state, despite its being the only one of its neighbors to actually be ethnically diverse. We are told that Hamas is trustworthy when it reports deaths and hospitalizations of civilians and that its reports of Israeli atrocities are unbiased.

Yesterday Ed wrote about how the New York Times still insists that its reporting on the hospital tragedy might still be true, despite its being totally debunked in every respect.”

“Vanity Fair wrote a piece based on Slack messages between Times staffers that exposes how little trust they had in Hamas’ claims, but the editors chose to push the anti-Israel narrative, and apparently, they want to stick with it come hell or high water. Already Hamas propagandists are claiming that the Times’ new analysis has “proven” that Israel bombed the hospital. This is what the New York Times wants you to believe.”

~ Mike Johnson, a Trump ally, says he wants to get things done as speaker. But some GOP hard-liners prefer gridlock to any hint of compromise. Working with Democrats in any way is deemed a betrayal. So will they give him running room on compromise bills? ~

  12. From WSJ editorial

    Can Speaker Mike Johnson Govern?
GOP agitators will have to give him leeway they denied Kevin McCarthy.

~ … Democrats are already branding Mr. Johnson a MAGA ideologue, which is unfair. But he will have to explain his view of the 2020 election, given that he pushed an implausible lawsuit at the time asking the Supreme Court to decertify results in four swing states. When a reporter Tuesday tried to ask him a question on that, Republicans hooted it down, which isn’t a great start for retaking the suburbs.

On the other hand, Mr. Johnson wrote a “Commitment to Civility” that was signed in 2017 by dozens of his fellow freshmen. In a brief House speech Wednesday, he came off as gracious, funny and smart, and if he continues in this tenor, he will be an asset for the GOP.

Whatever the McCarthy mutineers might say, the three weeks of turmoil have hurt the GOP’s image as a party that can competently govern while acting as a political check on Mr. Biden. A big part of Mr. Johnson’s job is to bring order to this Republican chaos.

The hard reality is that the GOP’s narrow majority puts him in the same precarious position as his predecessor. If the agitators want Speaker Johnson to succeed, and voters to keep them in power, they will spend the coming days working to fund the government and pocketing incremental conservative wins. If they don’t, they deserve to lose, and they probably will. ~

The speaker’s job is no easy task. Partisanship sometimes needs to be tempered in that role. Praying he has good advisers and wise confidants who will keep him on track and level-headed.

Otherwise, we’ll have yet another speaker election fairly quickly and the nation doesn’t need that drama.

I love that McCarthy fans like the establishment shills at the WSJ still want to blame the 3 weeks of turmoil on Gaetz, yet for at least the last 2 weeks it was McCarthy sabotaging things and dragging it out.

We know this because some Rs have publicly spilled the beans, while McCarthy and company hid behind the anonymity of closed door back room deals and votes.

I suppose it’s too much to ask that they at least acknowledge his role, both in his removal for failing to honor his word, and in dragging this out.
