  1. Of course.

    Lying clowns and frauds.

  4. Yep.

“1) They framed Trump for collusion to spy on his campaign
    2) When he won anyway, Comey’s FBI an off the books investigation on their own CINC
    3) When Trump caught on and fired Comey, they ensured the “investigation” continued under Mueller – the primary FBI Russia collusion investigator wrote that he didn’t want to be involved w/the Mueller team because “there’s no there there” but agreed to do it to help bring about impeachment (he actually wrote this)
    4) Mueller figured out there was no collusion a month into his investigation, but dragged it out another year and a half to keep GOP investigators from accessing FBI/DOJ officials, and to try to bait Trump into doing something they could call obstruction of justice
    5) The Democrats take back the House in 2018, shut down the investigations into spying
    6) Mueller immediately wraps up his task now that there are no GOP investigations to worry about, and hands the ball to Congressional Democrats for phase two: impeachment
    7) A CIA spy planted in the White House tries to leak the contents of a Presidential phone call to Adam Schiff, who then tells him to write it up as a “whistleblower” report for marketing reasons
    8) During the phone call, Trump asked Zelensky to put his people in touch with the Attorney General’s office to compare notes on what we now know is overwhelming evidence of the Bidens engaging in bribery, money laundering, and racketeering
    9) The Democrats impeach Trump for this, and limp-wristed, compromised Republicans went along w/the charade, just like they did w/RussiaGate long after it had been proven to be hoax
    10) In 2020, the public health bureaucracy joined the fight against Trump, working with Democrats and the media to use COVID to benefit Democrats in the election
    11) 2020 color revolution on the streets of America as they tried to bait Trump into calling out the military, so that the traitor Milley could refuse and action could be taken against Trump
    12) The FBI works together w/Big Tech to engage in unprecedented censorship to protect Biden
    13) Election fortified by “a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information”
    14) Milley going behind the President’s back with Chinese military officials
    15) Fed agents agitating for a riot on Jan 6
    16) Domestic War in Terror
    17) State & federal prosecutors using selective, novel interpretations of laws to threaten Trump w/jail while the DOJ brazenly covers up plain proof of straightforward Biden corruption
    18) <—- you are here
    19) Trump is still going to be the 2024 nominee, so it won’t stop

This has gone on nonstop for 7 years, and has involved a vast public-private partnership of corrupt vested interests that have gone so far and crossed so many lines that they cannot afford, at any cost, to lose power."

  5. Trump has no one but himself to blame. Act like you are in a banana republic and you will get treated in a similar fashion. Act like a third world leader and get treated like a former third world leader.

Trump can debate and discuss issues with other Republican candidates. He just can’t discuss what happened three years ago. Unfortunately, that’s what he is campaigning on – what happened to him three years ago, not what he can do for the American people now. He’s about himself and his grievances. (btw, its entirely normal to be told not to talk about your case – a good defence lawyer will tell his client to be quiet)

There will be no impeachment of anyone; the Republicans have nothing and they will not succeed. They will continue to cast suspicion on Garland, Biden etc because it riles up the base and motivates them to the polls. But they have nothing – or they would have acted by now.

Your 5:30 AM post (wow that’s early) is the most interesting retelling of recent American political history….

  6. Speaking of campaign expenses; why is this legal? It’s straight up bribery. I have to give Pence credit, he didn’t give a dime.

After looking up the CEO; I think my brother knows the guy. My brother lives in Northwest Iowa – his county regularly votes 85% Republican. My brother likes to show up for candidate meet and greets and rallies. in 2016, he met Cruz, Bush etc. He liked Jeb Bush better than his brother who he also met. He turned down an opportunity to go to a Trump function. Of course, he never tells them he’s not eligible to vote. He did tell his Republican friends he’d vote for Sanders before he voted for Trump, which shocked not only his friends but me.

  7. I’ve always said modern capitalism contradicts both traditional liberal democracy but also social conservatism. Disney demonstrates this well – if there’s a market, a corporation will exploit it. There’s a good sized middle class subset who would think this advertising campaign was “cute” . And there’s a large cohort of gay men who just love Disney. They might just order an adult size of those clothes.

Obviously social conservatives would not approve but they’ve spent the last 40 years allied within the Republican party with modern corporate capitalism. Did they not see how the demand to make money above all would contradict a movement with a value system.

  8. How nice. So corrupt Joe and his corrupt friends have been arming both sides. Lindsey Graham must be so proud of his buddy Joe.

“Hunter Biden business partner Kenes Rakishev who met with Biden allegedly supplied armored vehicles to Putin-backed forces that were used in the invasion of Ukraine.

According to leaked emails belonging to Rakishev, who can be seen below having a meeting with VP Joe Biden, armored vehicles were supplied to Chechen troops and used during the Ukraine invasion.

A report created by Kazakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery (KIAR), details how Rakishev is an owner of Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE), which makes Arlan mine-resistant armored platform vehicles.

The vehicles were spotted in Mariupol in April of 2022.

Rakishev is the same business partner who gave Hunter Biden $142,300 to purchase a Porsche in 2014 and also used Hunter to invest millions of dollars in the United States.

    The Biden Brand!”

  11. Joe Carter and his hit piece need to get with the times. Numerous countries and groups do the same. China considers Falun Gong to be an enemy, as our govt currently does for Christianity.

Also, the Chinese have been using US media to spread their message for decades, much longer than the Epoch Times has even been around.

I guess he thinks it’s OK, unless it’s Falun Gong. Not trying to defend any media doing so, but it’s foolish to act like they’re the only one while ignoring the CCP’s massive efforts as well.

“US Media: ‘Telling China’s Story Well'”

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/16885/us-media-china

“”If foreign audiences know that a piece of information comes from an official Chinese media source, they are likely to interpret it as ‘propaganda’ rather than ‘news,'” wrote China expert Anne-Marie Brady in 2015…

Fortunately for the CCP, China could rely on large segments of mainstream US media to help it….

The CCP evidently knew the West well enough to calculate that framing the debate [on the coronavirus] in terms of racism would be a highly successful strategy that would play into the divisive issue of identity politics in the US and Europe.

The CCP could not have done it, however, without the media’s lack of critical judgment of China’s behavior, as well as the media’s utter lack of interest in the CCP’s quest for global domination and, according to FBI Director Christopher Wray, its willingness to achieve it “by any means necessary.”

One of the foremost tasks of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) under Xi Jinping is, at his directive, to “tell stories about China well and spread China’s voice well; enable the world to see a multidimensional and colorful China; present China as a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and an upholder of international order”.”

“Washington Post and Wall Street Journal Took Millions From Chinese Communist Party Newspaper”

    https://nationalinterest.org/blog/reboot/washington-post-and-wall-street-journal-took-millions-chinese-communist-party-newspaper

“One of China’s main propaganda outlets has paid American newspapers nearly $19 million for advertising and printing expenses over the past four years, according to documents filed with the Justice Department.

China Daily, an English-language newspaper controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, has paid more than $4.6 million to The Washington Post and nearly $6 million to The Wall Street Journal since November 2016, the records show.

Both newspapers have published paid supplements that China Daily produces called “China Watch.” The inserts are designed to look like real news articles, though they often contain a pro-Beijing spin on contemporary news events.

One insert from September 2018 touted an initiative pushed by Chinese President Xi Jinping with the headline: “Belt and Road aligns with African nations.” The same insert ran a story titled “Tariffs to take toll on U.S. homebuyers” that asserted that U.S. tariffs on Chinese lumber would raise the cost of building homes in the United States.”

“China Daily also paid for advertising in several other newspapers: The New York Times ($50,000), Foreign Policy ($240,000), The Des Moines Register ($34,600) and CQ-Roll Call ($76,000).

It spent a total of $11,002,628 on advertising in U.S. newspapers, and another $265,822 on advertising with Twitter.

China Daily has also paid out more than $7.6 million to newspapers and printing companies for its newspaper for U.S.-based readers, the Justice Department’s filings show.

The Los Angeles Times, The Seattle Times, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Chicago Tribune, The Houston Chronicle and The Boston Globe are all listed as clients of China Daily. The Chinese outlet paid the Los Angeles Times $657,523 for printing services, according to the FARA filings.”

Joe needs to get with the times. This is what countries and groups do, pay to spread their message. Christians do it, even Joe Carter does it. Everyone has that right. The Chinese efforts are much more dangerous than some cult that believes in aliens and space ships. They’re like the Mormons, a cult.

They have no army, navy, or millions of potential soldiers like China. The Epoch Times at least cover actual news as well, rather than straight propaganda, including many that cover stories US media ignores for political reasons. See Covid origins, Ivermectin, and the like. There are bigger fish, but Joe picks the easy one. Discernment of their message, is it news, or propaganda, is what matters. I have not once seen an Epoch Times story pushing the Falun Gong group or their teachings. They don’t do that, they do news.

Also, I could care less what the NY Times calls them. They’re a joke, and so is Joe citing them with his “some say” nonsense. They shouldn’t be calling out anyone on “misinformation” when those frauds got Pulitzers for the fake Russia, Russia, Russia, nonsense, pushed all the fake narrative BS from the Biden FDA and CDC on Covid, more misinformation, and Joe Carter knows this.

He can do better. He just chooses not to. Joe’s buried the lede too, his real reason for this he saved until the end, and it was their support of Trump. Yawn. Just more NT garbage.

  12. Lenin once said a capitalist would sell you the rope to hang you from. Not much has changed. The arms trade is a good example of capitalism without conscience nor thinking passed immediate profit. So of course people sold weapons to the Russians. Most of the modern weapons used by the Russians have western origins. Their problem now is the inability to repair them – they need parts which are difficult to get through third parties. Hence you see a lot of older equipment from the Soviet era in use..

Newspapers selling advertising supplements to China Daily is also a good example of capitalism in action. In a free market society why should the owners of capital (ie the media here) consider anything but profit. Profit does not know a nationality. If you think capitalism is a good idea, you should applaud the free market behaviour of these newspapers.

  13. The Chinese gov’t banned Falun Gong due a historical tendency in China for religious sects to cause rebellions. For example;
    https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-19977188

But from a North American perspective, its fairly harmless you can discount the really weird stuff and just do the meditation and exercise.

Epoch Times, on the other hand, isnt worth the paper it’s written on. Its anti-communism is old school 1950s red scare nonsense. It has a pro-Taiwanese position to such an extent that it wants US intervention; almost to the point of war mongering. This does even address its misinformation on US politics.

  14. Hunter got a pro-Trump judge in Delaware. The Mar-a-lago case has a Trump appointed judge whose bias is heavily questioned and one of her rulings has already been overruled by a higher court. And the DC judge is Obama appointed. You win some, you lose some. The American judiciary system is looking less impressive everyday – the Supreme Court doesn’t even have an ethical code.

Of course the FBI and police in general are extremists. African Americans have been saying this for decades. The police at any level have been heavily militarised to the extent they have more weaponry and equipment in the US than an ordinary grunt wore patrolling Iraq. Historians have said that an empire’s behaviour eventually comes back to the homeland.

  15. It’s a logical fallacy to say that because someone (Joe Carter, in this case) focuses on one subject, then they don’t care about that other subject.

That reminds me of the time on the old WMB when we were discussing animal abuse (probably over the Michael Vick case), and some guy insisted that our focus on that matter meant that we obviously didn’t care as much about child abuse. Well, yes, of course we care deeply about child abuse, but that was not the subject at hand.

If you write something negative about the New York Times, does that mean we can assume that you’re just fine with the Washington Post? Of course, not, but the WP was not the issue at hand at the time.

  17. Well-said Kizzie.

Two things can be true as Joe Carter rightly pointed out in his list — Falun Gong has been persecuted in China. Epoch Times is, well, pretty extremely right-wing, far from a neutral media source.

That was the topic at hand, I believe?

And I don’t have to agree with everything a particular writer says. But if he says something that hits the mark I will “like” that.

We “think” (or more correctly said, react) exclusively these days on our own preconceived notions and those of our political tribe. We seem to have lost the ability to step back and consider the argument itself and it’s a big part of why our public discourse (and much of the media) are in the mess it’s in.
