Good morning! Time to smell the roses, coffee is long gone!
I hope everyone stays cool. We have another hot day here.
Storms caused havoc nearby late yesterday. It was very dark here around 6 p.m. Many in brother’s area, including him, are out of power still. Our cable was out for a short while.
Good morning all. A beautiful day here. A day to take rations in to daughter. She does not actually need or want them. She gets plenty of food on the dole, but it is good to have her pay for something!
Loved Tony Bennett, and he had quite a run in more recent years as well as with all the tributes.
Very warm here now, edging into the uncomfortable range.
Big international catamaran sail event, Sail Grand Prix, is in the port, races planned for Saturday and Sunday. I did the advance but one of our weekly reporters who loves all things water sports will be handling the live coverage over the weekend.
Can’t sit outside here unless one uses an umbrella and does not not mind thunder and lightning all around.
I went for brunch earlier with my friend while her dog was at the vet’s. I actually had second breakfast: two scrambled eggs, chicken sausage patty, and a belgian waffle. It was better than my fried egg and apricot applesauce cup for first breakfast..
I had my phone go off with a Flash Flood Alert. My brother just got power back from yesterday’s storm and here we go agsin. Trees are down all over his county. Please pray for Art to get home safely.
Sweet moment at the assisted living facility today. One gentleman comes to visit his wife. He is 95. When she was wheeled out to the social room he beamed and said, “There’s my sweetheart.” The one woman in the group dedicated a song to them, “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.” I think everyone was singing with the group. The gentleman held his wife’s hand and sang while gazing into her eyes. It brought tears to my eyes. He loves to sing and reminds me, somewhat, of my dad. My dad would sing snippets of songs to my mom.

Morning! High of 74 here today after yesterday’s thunderstorms. Humid today by Colorado standards 😊 😓
I see Tony Bennett passed away at 96yrs.. he was blessed with a beautiful voice

82 here, headed to 96. Two wildfires that I am aware of, both out in the mountains.

It’s also a good day for DEET. Three bites already from last night and this morning …

That water event does sound like fun to cover, Dj.

We have been outside sitting in the shade, listening to the birds and enjoying the breeze.

I like SPAM, but not the email kind. Maybe next time I’ll send one at a time.

Probably not a good idea to be under an umbrella if there is lightning.

Good point, Kizzie.
It’s better (weather-wise) today, we have a cool breeze, at least.
First of 2 stories done, now for the next one on tariffs. …

We’ve been having thunder rumbling on and off this afternoon, and some rain. Right now, it looks like we may have a more serious storm on the way.

If I had some hatches, I’d batten them down. 🙂

This article shows from a survey how little evangelicals know about theology. Joint survey by Lifeway and Ligonier. It’s scary!

Miss Bosley is asleep in my lap. Her safe harbor.

Art just got home. He said it was a deluge. His phone alert system went off in the car.
