My friend and I had dinner at a ‘meat and two’ cafeteria late yesterday. I had not realized this place has received accolades from many sources. It is on Main St in the small town my church is in. I went there years ago. It has been upgraded and has prices to support that.
We then took flowers, cards, and a lovely statuary short pedestal to our other friend for her 90+ birthday.
Morning!
We had some rough storms come through last night! The big hail missed us but hit full force at daughter’s home in the Springs. Much damage to house , garden and cars😢
I was out in the dark with a flashlight gathering all my plants to put in the garage…Lu was right at my side guarding me from something!!! 😂
We do not have ‘meat and three’ restaurants here. That is a nice concept, though. One of the things about living in a rural area is the lack of variety in restaurants.
For those interested, my cousin has a devotional based website. It seems it’s geared for women, but has a devotional for newlywed men (maybe because her son got married about the time she started writing these?) Here is the link: http://www.doreenwennberg.com/
Well, daughter did not show up for an extension in court today. Her side had requested it. Her lawyer needed more time. It was granted so, instead of court mid July, it will be end of August. The lawyer said mediation was a no go (daughter again). Now son in law can request judicial mediation, meaning another judge looks at the case and determines if it needs to go to court or if the judge can just make the rules. Life can be so complicated.
Well we didn’t escape the hail today! It started out small but then came the torrential rain accompanied with marble sized hail! I grabbed my umbrella and headed out trying to save my flowers….I had just put them back out this morning! A couple of them are beyond saving I think but I did manage to save most I hope. What a mess!
So I went to the chiropractor today. He took good care of me. Says my knee is okay but the kneecap was off. Or not aligned properly.
He approved of my exercise and then was telling me the pool in town will be open year round by the ymca. The pool would be heated but it is still outside.
I mentioned my ice packs and he said that they are just like the advil for infection
It wasn’t last Sunday, but this coming one. However, I’ve been working a lot so I haven’t had time to get something worth while. A young man gets this Sunday. He was Bible major, so he has good messages.
I’m thinking of 1 John 1:5-2:2, one of my favorite passages. Or maybe Philippians 4:4-8, another favorite.
Good morning!

I enjoyed listening to Tucker Carlson. Much to think and pray about.

Wow, Nj, what amazing weather
Here it is still pleasant. I am grateful every day and for the lower heat and cooling bills
