Prayer Requests 10-2-19

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 54

Save me, O God, by your name;
    vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God;
    listen to the words of my mouth.

Arrogant foes are attacking me;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me—
    people without regard for God.

Surely God is my help;
    the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
    in your faithfulness destroy them.

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
   I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.

You have delivered me from all my troubles,
   and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

  1. Thank you.

    After getting Boy off to school this morning, I spent quite a while replaying in my head the events of this date two years ago, and praying. I ended up praising and thanking God for His goodness and faithfulness through all of this. I also wrote some thoughts on the grieving process which I will share on the daily thread in a bit.

    (With Nightingale, Boy had started to be resistant about going to school, but she told him that Papa would be proud of him for how smart he is and how well he does in school, and that being in school would distract him from his sadness. After she left for work, and I took over, he did not say a word about it to me, so things went smoothly. Thanks for the prayers.)

  2. Prayers for you, Kizzie. God has made you into an amazing woman. I praise Him for creating you to be loved and cherished by Leon and for setting an excellent example of what Christian married love looks like both in physical life and for eternity. Thank you for sharing your dear and sweet remembrances of your best friend and husband. It is precious treasure you share. Also you help those who have yet trod the path you’ve been on for two years to know that God indeed sees people through such difficult once in a lifetime events. Love you, Kizzie, my Sister in Christ. You are doing the right thing . . . day after day.
