Prayer Requests 11-7-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

  1. The virus The Boy had seems to have run its course, but he now has a bad double ear infection. At least it is now being treated, & he is feeling better now that the virus is done with its mischief in his body.

  2. Hi, y’all.

    So, there are two medications that treat small prolactinomas (of course, we won’t know diameter until MRI results). Both are dopamine agonists and cannot be taken with triptans (for those of you who don’t have migraines, a triptan is a class of drugs known as vasoconstrictors). One must take the dopamine agonist for two years….. As y’all are aware–I have severe and frequent migraine headaches, so medication is not going to be an option for me.

    Hopefully, the tumor is small enough that a neurosurgeon can go in through the sphenoid sinus cavity and remove it. If it is too big, he/she will have to do a craniotomy. I am praying this is not the case.

    I am scared and will be glad when I have some answers and a treatment plan is in place.

    Today has been especially hard due to unpleasant physical symptoms–like swollen extremities (I can no longer wear my wedding ring), decreased sensitivity in my right arm and lower right leg, and migraine. I had to take Becca to the dentist early this morning to have two baby teeth extracted and then she was home for the entire day. Usually, I really enjoy her company–but today her presence was more like nails on a chalkboard.

    Please pray for her during this time. We are extremely close and this news is going to hit her really hard.

    Thanks
