Hi ya’ll! I have a quick prayer request I’d love your prayers for. This may sound a bit odd but I see a lot of potential in God revealing Himself to my friends through this request:
I just found out on Sunday that a particular friend of mine only makes 4.50 euro an hour and hasn’t had a raise in at least 6 years. My prayer request is that without saying a word to his boss, this friend will receive a raise within the next week. I am asking the Lord that it would be at least a .25 raise. I so want to be able to point to this raise as being an answer to my (our) specific prayers and that this provision will prompt my friend to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, in all things.

She has seen God do interesting things in the life of several Sicilian friends and this probably is one of them.
Let’s all please remember KBells. This is the first day she wakes up with the sure knowledge that it is cancer and the day she and her doctors will make a plan. I once had a friend tell me, “I have cancer. Cancer doesn’t have me”, Cancer doesn’t have you KBells.
Today is also the five-year anniversary of the major tornadoes that swept through the South, affecting KBells and family. A milestone day which started her on a new journey, as they were displaced. And a new journey as she begins her cancer treatment today.
Lord, comfort KBells with Your loving presence this day. Grant her peace as You guide her again through unknown waters. You, O Lord, are faithful. You know all, and have everything in control.
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
I praise You for Your mercy, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Husband passed the driving course. Now he has to pass the State test and decide what he wants to do with the license. Decisions decisions. We would like to have him do whatever God wants.
That year sticks in my mind more than any other recent year. A friend of mine had passed away April 26 (the first of four that year), then another friend, who lives in your general area, KBells, was also hit by those storms. Then a few weeks later, after I’d started lurking at WorldMagBlog, I discovered you and your family were affected in that April 27 tornado outbreak, too, as I started to get more familiar with who everyone was and where you all lived.
I can remember five years ago pretty well, but five weeks ago or something, don’t ask — no idea. 😉
