¹O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
8 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
You may remember that Emily had a somewhat long-distance (approx. a three-hour drive away) romantic relationship with a guy, A. They texted a lot throughout each day, talked on the phone some, & had met for a few dates. This had gone on for several months, maybe even a year.
My prayer for that relationship in particular (& any others my girls may have) was that if this man is not right for my daughter (especially spiritually), that God would cause their feelings for each other to slowly fade away.
Turns out that that is exactly what happened with Emily & A. I am relieved, for more than one reason. Thanking God for answering my prayer.
My prayer for my daughters, for Forrest when he grows up, & for your young adults as well, is that they will only be truly attracted to godly Christians (even if they don’t realize it or don’t know why), & that no unbeliever will ever “click” with them romantically, even if they seem wonderful.
Looks like we will be booting an eighteen year old today, for harboring drugs and alcohol on our property. He could get angry. Prayers, please. Thanks.
Towards the end of our service, the pastor has certain people come up to pray with anyone who might want prayer. My husband and I are two of those who are available to pray. Today I prayed with/for a woman whose husband had just asked her for a divorce. She doesn’t attend our church as she lives 1 ½ hours away, but was there today.
As for here, husband took the olders off to basketball and I took a look in the Room. Sure enough, lots of illegal stuff so we called another couple to sit by while we tell him he needs to leave tonight.
He came clean with some stuff and explained some stuff and I am less annoyed and he is staying. We had a retired jailer here. He thought the boy was just a messed up little boy, which is what he is. The guy thinks there is some hope, but not a lot. We will have lots more inspections and drug tests. Continued prayer appreciated.
Wisdom for me and may I think, behave and submit like OC and Biddy. 🙂
