¹Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
My friend H in Sicily is discouraged and other things. It’s my day to pray 1/2 an hour for her, but if you think to pray for a young woman far from home trying to hear God’s direction for 2025, that would help. Thanks.
Thank you for all the Christians around this big world who make efforts to care about their Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Thank You for the many ways people show support and care for those in need. I lift up those who are persecuted, imprisoned, tortured in various ways, and alone and without a Bible or other Christian resource to turn to. Please help them to feel Your presence in an unusual an special way that helps sustain them through horrific episodes of mistreatment. Please give escapes if possible and turning of the hearts of their captors.
Lord, I lift up those Christians in The Gambia who are waiting with dread to see what will happen under new leadership. Please keep them safe and respected. May the value of their loving ways be evident to all and cause everyone to want to keep good relations rather than to seek out ways to persecute and harm them. May they win over enemies through their love as You teach us to do.
Lord, I lift up Hillary to You for a needed boost to her disappointed spirit. Please help her to envision Your plans to do good through her life. Help her to remain strong, always regarding Your way as perfect, and not veering from Your chosen path. If she feels pain over losses of relationships that were unhealthy, I ask for Your divine comfort to envelope her. Keep her heart from breaking over anything other than what breaks Your heart and stirs to action.
Thank You for continuing to help Mumsee and Mike with their brood in the Nest. I pray for Your encouraging insight and wisdom to invade the thoughts and motives of the young in their care. Please help each living with them to always do their best with their schoolwork and chores. May they all act in a harmonious way and as a team when necessary. Help them all to have a great Christmas season.
Lord, please help Cheryl as she makes decisions regarding the card business or hobby. May she make the right choice for the next year. Please allow her to see what will work best so she does not have to be tied up with too many accounting details
Father God, Abba, please help Art to get through this evening despite the new problem with the catheter. Please help his bleeding to lessen. Help him to rest without worry over things he can not do anything about.
I pray for my friend’s BIL who had back surgery. May the facility where he is take excellent care of him as he recovers.
Thank You for the beauty of the Christmas season. Thank You for the music Roscuro shares each day.
I pray for continuing perfect recouperation for A J ‘ S family.
Please make way for Jo to have someone she feels trusting of as a companion while on this holiday break. May she have some really good private devotional time alone with You.
Talked to Carol last night, she sounded much better, they’re focusing first on her dizziness issues but also gave her something for her hand tremor (a late development and one that I suspect is connected to the shoulder she dislocated — on the right side, both — a couple weeks ago). She even made it to the Wednesday Bible study at 1st Pres Hollywood & someone there suggested they would be able to pick her up with their bus.
It’s only a long block (maybe 2 long blocks) to walk there, but I hate to see her trying to navigate even that distance in her condition.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all the Christians around this big world who make efforts to care about their Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Thank You for the many ways people show support and care for those in need.
