🙂 Forrest is slowly-but-surely adjusting to all-day kindergarten. He didn’t cry at all about going on Thursday & Friday. (Emily is still driving him to school, & he spends a little while with the school social worker in her office before school starts. He does take the bus home.)
😦 I still think he should have been home for another year. He’s been extra-extra cuddly & huggy with Emily, showing how much he really misses her.
🙂 It’s been nice to have the quiet daytime hours to work on other things around here, as well as having some peace & quiet time to relax before everyone gets home & it’s time to get dinner on.
Husband ought to be in Kansas, visiting with the rels, but I cannot call him as he forgot his phone in his truck in Boise and did not think of it until he was clearing the check in area. I can call his sister or brother or dad or several of my sons.
🙂 Apple festival is almost over for me.
We will have lunch at the Elks fundraiser tomorrow.
And I will sit for two hours Monday at the Lions parking lot.
That’s it.
🙂 A lot more good bug shots this week–but birds sure are easier. (And it isn’t like birds are easy, either! But insects are so tiny, and the moment you zoom in, half the time they’re gone . . . and half the time even if they don’t fly away, the shot isn’t in focus.)
😦 A few weeks ago, a friend of mine from church had one of her beloved cats (named Lunchbox because he has a big appetite) go out the door when the door failed to properly click shut. They knew he was still around the general area, but he was scared & would run away from anyone approaching him. They were afraid he would get caught by a coyote or something, especially as more time went by.
🙂 Lunchbox finally came home! It had been almost four weeks, & he’d lost over half his weight, but he is now safe & sound at home. I am thrilled & relieved for them.
🙂 Got Carol to the MetroPCS office/store to get her account off suspension (due to a charge she wasn’t expecting — and couldn’t pay — for a music app she’d signed up for). Got rid of the app and they accepted $10 rather than the $20 they originally said she’d owed. Of course, as soon as that was agreed upon, Carol looked at me and said, “Can I borrow $10?”
🙂 Home in time to get the dogs to the dog park before it gets dark.
🙂 A terrific ten days, lots of great family time, ideas and fun.
😦 A terrific amount of work to do and now I’m actually back to work three days a week after a long hiatus. I enjoy my part time job but it sure eats into all the other things I need to do! 🙂
This was a three day weekend? Nobody ever tells me anything….I am not feeling rested. We did school this morning. As much as we could with out of sorts eight year old and I forgot everything you ever taught me nine year old.
😦 Upset tummy troubles
🙂 BRAT diet that helps

🙂 Peter’s Pigskin Picks game

Yay Lunchbox! He had adventures, I’m sure.

😦 Peppermint oil will dissolve the varathane (polyurethane?) finish on wood. Now I need to sand and refinish the top of my kitchen island. 😦

I got a quick glimpse, looks like about eight baby rabbits in there. Cute. Black and white like their poppa.

Mumsee, are these pets, meat rabbits, or something else?
