Please pray for rain. It is very dry and folks are burning their fields so the air is very smoky. Today there was a fire with a hundred yards of the primary school. We were watching it during lunch trying to decide if we would need to evacuate due to smoke. and watching the wind. Some folks also have empty watertanks.
Praises as God took care of a problem today. I had noticed yesterday that our pump was not coming on. It pumps the tank water into a header tank that feeds all our faucets. I came home today and looked around, but did not know what to do. Then just the right person came around and called back the plumber who showed us where the pump switch was. Neither of us had seen it, a very invisible switch. Pump started right up and filled the tank.
Pray that I’ll bite my tongue today. Extended-family tension is ramping up again, and I can’t get to my parents’ until tonight, with all the loose ends I need to tie up around here first.
There’s plenty more, but I’ll leave it at that. Argh.
Your utter goodness continues to flow into our lives daily. Who could ever put any limit on what You are able to do? You are boundless in all areas.
Thank You for taking care of Mumsee and all at the Nest as fire threatened. You contol winds of destruction. May all who have lost property during the rages of fire find new reasons to trust in You alone to meet yheir needs and to praise for the saving of physical lives. May the spiritual needy know Your salvation in the spiritual realm.
Please, Father God, send needed rain to areas in need like PNG, Hendersonville, and CA for starters. You know the dry and the wet areas that could use a better balancing of H2O. We have not because we fail to ask rightly according to Your word. If there are hindrances in lives in those areas that are causing prayers to not be received by You and acted upon favorably, then I pray for an awakening of those souls and a desire in their hardened hearts to get right with You. Please, again, let Your rains return to parched areas and Your salvation flood hearts that have long gone to worship idols that have no power over wind, rain, and fire.
Lord, I lift up The Gambia also with all of its needs for the mission work still to be accomplished. Help Joanne in whatever she needs to get done to meet her goals. Please make her finan ial goals complete, even overflowing, so she is able to do more than expected.
Lord, thank You for watching over all the children returning to school. Help any who are afraid of bullies or may be encountering them for the first time. It seems the methods of bullying have increased with internet usage. Please, I ask that any bad use of the internet toward children be brought to a halt.
Lord, please continue to act on healing and encouraging Cheryl, AJ, and Liz. Do not let them wonder how to get their needs provided for, but if possible I ask for You to provide even before a need is fully recognized. Thank You for what You are doing for them throughout this difficult season.
Please help my friend, Karen, with the infection in her leg. Help me to discern how I can best help her. I ask that You would put desire in her heart to attend church with me, and take away her fear of how her family members might feel threatened by her church attendance.
Abba, there are so many more to be lifted up in prayer. Help me throughout this day to remain diligent in prayer for each need You bring to mind. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
Thank you for the prayers. Not only has the brewing trouble abated, but my decision to stay home with my ill child, instead of going to help my parents, has been met with understanding in my extended family.
Praise God, who does exceeding abundantly above that which we imagine.
Fifth Arrow has been in bed almost all day with stomach pain, has eaten nothing since last night, and has sipped only a tiny bit of water the whole day, although he has been a little more willing to drink some tonight.
But no nap during all that time in bed, and he’s crying more tonight, just so sick of feeling bad.
