Thank you for your prayers for Lee. Although he did get sick, it seems it must not have hit him as hard as it hit me or Emily. He’s had a long day, but he had help from a hard-working young man who especially helped with the “heavy lifting” part of the job. He’s going to be exhausted when he gets home, but we already know we will be staying home from church tomorrow, & Emily will go out in the morning to do his Sunday morning “pack out” (making sure the shelves are full & neat at the bigger supermarkets), so he can sleep as long as he needs to.
Thank You for seeing us all safely through another week. We don’t take safety for granted like we did decades ago. There are seasons of concern over global terrors like we know now. Please help our Christian brothers and sisters who are paying a heavy price for remaining faithful. Help those who are going through the turmoil while sick, pregnant, injured, or tortured in some fashion. I pray You will comfort the hurting and also the grieving. As some have lost everything, I pray they will find Your supernatural contentment and feeling of being complete as Jesus becomes more pronounced in their lives without other distractions. I pray You will rise up caregivers like Mother Theresa to help the masses of refugees. The needs are so great, yet You are able to feed many with a few loaves and fish. I pray for feeding and healing miracles for the persecuted.
Lord, our needs don’t seem quite as desperate, but You tell us to cast our cares upon You because You truly care about all our concerns. Please help Kathleena’s family as they try to process grief and changing family dynamics. Please help them find workable solutions. I pray for Annms’s daughter L to find permanent relief from her sickening migraines. May the proper combination of meds and physical treatment give her relief. If there is some remedy yet to explore, please make it known quickly.
Father God, you know the needs of Michelle on her proposal. May it be well formatted and cover enough to make it seem like a feasible project that would generate substantial interest and sales in the market. Please enlighten Michelle if she has any blind spots in what she needs to include. Thank You for her son getting that PhD.
Lord, You know the many needs of Karen O’s family. I am always remembering her girls especially on Saturday because I know she wants so badly to see them in church and established in the faith. Please make a way. Soon. May they each begin to notice the Holy Spirit drawing them in. May some of Your disciples who are “fishers of (wo)men” start reeling in the lines they have gotten attached to. Please respond to our persistent prayers. Thank You for giving help and stamina to Lee. You are so good to call upon for help in times of trouble. Please make a way for Emily to excel in her course of study. I also pray for all to go well with the future sale of Lee’s route if that is Your plan.
Lord, please continue meeting the needs of Mumsee, Mike, and all at the Nest. Help those who continue to have issues based on bad past experiences. I pray their faith will see them through to a maturity that gives them full trust in You. May they be able to forgive those who harmed them in the past , and may they fully appreciate and give thanks for their current situation. Please give Mumsee and Mike wisdom as new challenges present. Help Mike have relief from pain.
Please help AJ’s mother to finish well in her recouperation. May her pains be minor and her relief be major. Please ease any suffering that AJ routinely feels.
Again, I ask for my son to havr his need for summer employment met. Thank You for working that out.
Becca and I will be driving home from Dallas today, beginning at noon. They’ve had snow and it’s still below freezing. Please pray for safe travels for us (I have no experience driving in these conditions). Thanks!
Also, we had dinner with my brother, Michael, last night. He’s going through a difficult time. Prayers for him would be greatly appreciated.
Emily was very angry with Forrest this evening (rightfully so), & I believe she was feeling quite frustrated. Again praying that she will cry out to God (even if unintentionally) in the pain of her frustration, & be surprised to find Him waiting there, answering her “prayer”.
Writing a risky proposal today. Prayers for wisdom and the right words.

I proposed years ago, but it was verbal.
