It’s Thursday, so please remember to pray for the folks in PNG, as well as Jo.
Anyone else have something to share?
Psalm 71:1-16
¹In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,
11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.
12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
L. awakened with a migraine. She took her medicine and went back to bed. Please pray she feels better soon.

I met an old friend and while we were chatting, she asked me if I knew Lynn V. I said yes and that I occasionally find myself praying for her at unexpected times.
Long silence.
I met her eyes, she nodded, and that was that. I don’t know why, it doesn’t matter why, but please join me in praying for Lynn. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.

Linda – (Re: your comment on yesterday’s prayer thread) – R is out of town training for his new job, so he couldn’t have helped even if he was willing.
If Emily’s evening classes last night were run-of-the-mill, she would have stayed home. But it is finals week, & she could not miss those tests. (The state has very strict rules for their LPN & nursing students.) On Monday evening, she was still feeling pretty bad from her own bout with this virus & a fever, but she dragged herself into class for those tests.
God was merciful to me in that I didn’t throw up anymore, although I still had the uncomfortable nausea, & the intestinal yuckiness.
Today I am very weak & achy, with still a little bit of nausea. Emily went out to get me some Gatorade.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for easing that virus so Karen could rise to the occasion to help Emily and Forrest. You saw them through a difficult time. People called on You in prayer and Your answer was good. Glory be to You for showing Your strength in our times of weakness. Please help Karen to quickly regain her strength and bless Lee with freedom from illness.
Thank You for keeping the worst of the winter weather off of us again. You have been good to us this year in that respect. Please help those north of here who are struggling because of the weather damages.
Please, Lord, help me to make progress in all the areas You desire for me to commit my/Your time.
Please continue helping AJ’s mom with healing, and help Linda’s MIL with what she is going through.
I pray for our blog missionaries, Jo and Ajisuun, to be feeling healthy and in good spirits toward their future service. May all financial support be provided so that is no longer a current concern. I pray for continual blessing upon their travels. I pray for The Gambia and PNG to be receiving the Gospel in effective ways so many are saved.
Please bless the Collegiate Day of Prayer with many salvations;
and, please give protections from the ploys of the evil one on campuses. May this prayer movement be a spark to ignite a Great Awakening among the jaded students who have seen everything under the sun except for You.
Please help the persecuted Christians. Bless Israel with peace as war threatens. Keep our nation and the Americans safe from the hatred and evil plots of extremist Muslims. Please, bless us for we do believe in Jesus and want our nation to stand strong with Israel.
In Jesus’ treasured name above all names, Amen

Thanks, Michelle, for that reminder to pray and that we don’t need to know any details, God has it covered.

Please keep me in your prayers for patience and wisdom in dealing with the aftermath of my dad’s death. There are still a lot of decisions and things to be done. There are personal issues that make things very trying.
