I had this psalm memorized years ago. I memorized it before going into the hospital to have a C-section. It is one I have not totally kept in my head, however. I often go through the memory work to keep it fresh. I may have to revisit this one.
Thank You for the peace Your word can so quickly bring to our souls. We try to keep our minds stayed on You yet sometimes we momentarily Germany pulled under waves of trouble. Thank You for bringing Your words to our mind through the unfathomable working of the Holy Spirit. Thank You as I was lamenting the other day that You brought to mind, “The joy of the Lord is Your strength.” I was lifted up and out of despair. Only by You and Your words, Lord. Only by You, Abba. Only by You, Holy Spirit. Only by You, Three -In – One Almighty God.
I continue in lifting up the needs of Annms and her family as mentioned pteviously. Please meet the needs of those in Donna ‘ s life who are suffering grief or from pain while recouperating.
Lord, please help my friend who called earlier in tears because of the pain she is suffering. Thank You for giving me a prayer to help calm her. Please help her husband to be a more nurturing support for her.
Thank You for my other friend Sue who called in tears over her friend Bonnie in Hospice. Please help Bonnie ‘ s daughter to be able to handle the heavy load upon her shoulders. Lord, it’s not just the loss from death, but it is also the sorting through of unfinished business that can be so hard upon those remaining on this side of life.
Thank You for getting Art back on the med. May he obtain complete healing without anything worse than the tummy discomfort from this super strength med. Help me continue to be a good and encouraging support for Art. Please help us when medical bills arrive. We are not use to dealing with that. Help us figure out our needs regarding our forced changes to our Healthcare plans. Lord, the unknowns pile up. Thank You for the laughs we find as we consider the absurdities in our health “care” system.
Please help all here who have needs large and small. You know each one. Especially I lift up lost family members asking persistently for their salvation.
Thank You for considering my requests for Your action in Your way and Your timing. You know best. I trust in You and enjoy knowing that the joy You alone provide is my strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen
P.S. Emory is such a big place with so many sick people on that hospital and college campus. Please give major healing there.
This is the psalm that I am working on memorizing. I enjoy reading it right before I go to sleep as it calms my thoughts. I use NASB

I like it too, Jo.
I notice Aj skipped Psalm 120. I doubt that is anyone’s favorite.
