Prayer Requests 10-3-14

It’s Friday! Please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the young folks at The Nest.

Anyone else having something to share?

Psalm 96

¹O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

  1. Hillary’s lost bag arrived 10 days late but sound. She was able to put in her papers for an indefinite stay (some other sort of local visa more powerful, somehow, than the embassy’s). Homesick, but settling in. Thanks for your prayers.

  2. One of the things I am doing is making the boys move back into the house from the hunting mansion. This could be grounds for one or two of them to run away. But they have been acting more like teens lately than the young adults we have come to expect. This morning it was thirty seven degrees inside the hunting mansion. The hunting mansion is a large room on stilts over a creek that they built a couple of years ago. It has not water and no electricity and no heat. It is not fully enclosed or insulated. We let them spend one winter out there and it tended to make them stronger and more unified, that is all good. Now it is time for the next step. They have always had the largest bedroom in the house, which they have used to store their stuff. Now I am moving them into their own rooms and the girls will all be in the large bedroom. It will make my life much more difficult as two of the girls are unable to room with anybody due to their various issues. But that has to be set aside for now as the boys need an adjustment. And no, they are not doing anything really bad, no alcohol, drugs, etc. Just pushing the envelope a bit harder than they need to, complaining about their lack of freedom, that sort of thing. Have I mentioned that I rarely see them as they are free to be in town working and playing from about eight in the morning until eight at night? School starts for them when husband gets home. They don’t have much left to complete their high school education, but it needs to be done.
