Hillary is off. Logic says she’ll never make the plane change in Amsterdam for a bunch of reasons, but why don’t you people with lots of faith pray her LAX-Amsterdam flight gets in EARLY? 🙂
Prayer time with six of us last night was very sweet; Hillary was very emotional–she’d had to say goodbye to her four year old niece and, frankly, I can’t look at the photo on FB without tearing up.
They’re waiting for her in Sicily with shouts of thanksgiving. God will do great things and we are glad.
You all know what it is to miss someone . . . .
As for me, I got into bed for the last time at 2:40, and was really not asleep until probably an hour later, then awakened at 4:30 for a last visit to Starbucks before Hill went to the airport. I have to teach Bible study in four hours, then assist in a Memorial Service. There’s a lot going on.
But how wonderful we’ll be able to observe, close hand, God’s work in my weakness! 🙂
Prayer for our friend and ex-coworker George. He had a stroke a few years ago and has since struggled with disabilities, dependency and pain with an amazing (though sometimes a little too unfiltered 🙂 ) sense of humor. He is now confined to a wheel chair and is beginning to sound very discouraged.
I have a praise – I submitted the work from the first unit of the course I’m taking today. Your prayers that I could learn are being answered – so keep praying! I need three credits in science, English and social studies, in order to apply to midwifery school.
Laughing, first major prayer answered–luggage is going all the way to Catania which means she’s got a shot of making the plane if KLM lands on time in Amsterdam. And with our prayers . . . what, me worry?

She’s already seeing God at work. Here’s her blog post, apparently written at the airport in Los Angeles: http://faithfulstill.wordpress.com/2014/09/23/off-the-bat/
