  1. 😦 I need to remove the wood mulch I put next to my house and replace it with pine straw.
    But not today.
🙂 We are attending a wedding this afternoon.
A few years ago (maybe 3 or 4) the husband of a lady in out church died.
A year or so ago, the wife of a guy in our church died.
    (We know both of them)
They are marrying each other today.
Elvera is excited about the wedding. And I think it’s a good thing too.

  2. Chas, the officiating pastor at our marriage ceremony and the organist for our wedding (my former piano teacher) both died several years ago. I don’t know if the pastor’s wife and the organist’s husband knew each other back then, but they are married to each other now. 😉

  3. 😦 Michelle’s emotional day 🙂

🙂 Deck is finished, but we still need to put up the temporary safety railing until we can afford to finish the stairs and the final railing

🙂 😦 Sore muscles from the great canoe trip on Thursday. So fun.

🙂 Nothing scheduled for today – we will see what happens

  4. 🙂 New screen door is going in on the living room to front deck door. Son says his company charges $500 to put in a fancy door like that. So thankful for husband who is doing it with a bit of help from me.

  5. Tess managed to snag her collar on one of the baby gates today. She was dragging it across the living room and causing all kinds of ruckus, scaring Cowboy and herself pretty good.

  6. The baby gate incident was very strange. I was reading in the bedroom when I heard dog feet scrambling and slipping on the living room floor — followed by silence. Then a weird, loud ‘groaning’ noise, like the house was about to cave in.

When I got to the living room, there was Tess, dragging a fully-extended, still standing baby gate alongside her, the gate making a loud, screeching ruckus. I had to actually unbuckle her collar to get it detached. Good grief.

  7. 🙂 Good Father’s Day here. Both kids said HFD to their dad and I had to leave a message for my dad as he wasn’t home. I will try him again later.

🙂 Husband saw 2 bears on his morning run

😦 More scary is the neighbour with his shotgun out trying to scare the bears away when they have 20 cats and cat food outside.

🙂 Had lunch out with a couple from church – it was nice to get to know them a bit better
