I’m requesting prayers for my sister. All four of her kids are teenagers and they’re experiencing some strife in the parent/child relationship. She’s also struggling with the amount of suffering all around her, the never-ending legitimate needs of the people of Rwanda, especially the large population of orphaned children who live by the dump. Her heart is heavy. Please pray for her, as you are led. She covered me in prayer for a decade; I’d like to return the favor.
We continue to get run around from Emory Healthcare and Aetna on husband’s needed med. Aetna is saying he is to substitute two other meds and had someone at Emory send a prescription to the pharmacy. When I called to try and get an appointment with husband’s doctor I was told she is not in this morning. So she probably was not even made aware that Aetna basically changed the prescription. Can you believe what the healthcare in our nation looks like whether you have Obamacare or not? It is broken when insurance companies basically have authority to prescribe. Please pray. Husband is not well.

I debated putting this on the daily thread, but I’ll write it here instead. This morning I got strong and unmistakable direction from the Lord that I need to step away from the internet for an extended period (of undetermined duration, but I know it can’t be a short-term thing, not simply a few days or weeks). Don’t worry; nothing has happened, but I’ve been feeling gentle nudges from God lately that have become more frequent and compelling. Today it is crystal clear what I must do.
Sorry to be so hasty, but I just know the time has come for a long break, and a time of deep, slow reinvestment in my face-to-face relationships.
I’ll be praying for the ongoing needs I know several of you have. My family and I are all okay, but I am grateful for the prayers any of you wish to offer on our behalf.
Lee is feeling very down & discouraged about his work, & about our financial situation. He is feeling over-burdened by his various responsibilities, & the lack of time to deal with them, feeling he can’t even think clearly. Please pray for God to clearly direct him, encourage & uplift him, & give him peace. Thank you.
The beauty of spring is everywhere I look these days. All that beauty is Your thought and creation. No person can do a half way decent imitation of what You do moment by moment. We may make things that resemble what You have made, but the things we make have no life such as what You create. You are the only life maker and sustainer. Today we look to You and Your love to help us in trouble times. Your enemies are our enemies. You offer abundant life but the enemy wants to defeat life in any manner possible. Sometimes that manifests as depression or a scattered brain function, sometimes it is on the political or cultural realm where policies and laws are designed to enslave, kill the vulnerable babies in the womb or the elderly, or it may be through arming our nation’s enemies with various weapons, or it may be through promotion of desrructive sexual lifestyles or taxation to poverty. Lord, You see all and know all. Never are You unaware of the evils in this world. Pleade help us daily to humble ourselves before You and be repentant regarding our sins both individually and corporately as a nation. We have no help but You. Please do not let enemies continue to mock and declare that You have no strength against their various earthly powers and vast intelligence. Please, Lord, come quickly to rescue those who are facing various forms of trouble or persecution for Your name’s sake.
Lord, I pray for all of the above mentioned requests and include KKim’s request for help, too. Please minister to those who are doing missionary work in The Gamba and PNG and Rwanda. Healp them as they suffer various ills or feel defeat over the depths of poverty they witness. I ask that You would make a way for more effective healthcare in our nation with no game playing by those in the system. Please bless all the doctors in our nation who have put so much effort into getting educated and now are being required to not do the best that they know how to do for their patients. Lord, I could pray all day just on this one subject. Please help Bosley to recouperate quickly. Please help my husband to get what he needs to regain his health. Please help Lee to feel better and find the better solution that You are making for him. I have no strength on my own to affect any of the outcomes on these things brought to Your thrown. But I recognize Your power, and I know of the love You have for Your children so I cry out, “Help!” As the Bible directs, I am looking to You for help in ths day of trouble. Thank You for whatever You decide is best. In Jesus’name, Amen
We’ll miss you 6 arrows, but obeying God’s voice will reap wonderful rewards.
Just wanted to thank you for praying for our Easter outreach. We didn’t have as many people as we though we would because of a death in the village that day and another recent death that took many of the men out of the village. But it was a good day! Probably around 300 people watched the Magdalena film in the evening. God sustained me and it worked out well for me to wait until the meal was almost cooked and then go. The difference? About 6 hours. I had time to enjoy myself and chat with people and go home not exhausted. I was out of my house for about 4 hours. Some of my teammates went around 10 am and didn’t get home until midnight. I would still be in bed recovering if I tried to do something like that! I still paid the price the next day, but it was worth it.

Will miss you 6 Arrows but given the size of your redponsibilities it makes sense.
Your oldest son is the same age as my one and only. They grow up fast so it is good to keep your focus on them while you have them at home.
