We are in Your sights, Your daily target for receipt of your many blessings. Thank You for the good and the bad that leads to good.. ultimately You promise it will all be worked out to be good for the believers because You never quit Your working out good from bad in the lives of believers. That You for each superlative effort You make in our lives this day. We do sometimes get knocked down but You raise us up again in Your strength if we are willing to accept Your help. Please save us all from the root of bitterness from the evil one that daily tries to become established in the lives of suffering believers. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus and focus on His love and benefits to believers. It is a barren world without His love and the comfort received through the Holy Spirit.
Lord, You are fully aware of Lee’s needs today. Keep Lee and Karen feeling lifted, carried by You, through the difficulties of this day. We would love to get a good medical report. Thank You for modern medicine and possibilities of cures and prevention. Those good gifts of creativity that lead to breakthroughs sre from Your giving hand even if some in the scientific community do not acknowledge Your role. I give You the total glory for You alone deserve it. May Lee be one who receives restoring treatment if needed so You will receive full credit from this community of believers.
Also, I lift up The Gambia today knowing the needs are great there. You have placed good missionaries within the land to do outreach in the name of Jesus. Please let it be effective. I pray the missionaries will see fruit in the spiritual realm each day. May the missionaries who are wise with Your wisdom find new delights in Your word daily to encourage fellow believers and seekers.
In the blessed name of the One who gives us assurance of our salvation, in the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen
Thank you all so much for your prayers, love, & support.
Lee called after the appointment with the doctor. He’s not exactly an oncologist, but he deals with chemotherapy & other medications for cancer patients.
That doctor gave Lee a prescription for a med he has to be on for quite a while, a precursor to starting Lupron (the hormone therapy he had in the past).
It costs $500 per month. 😦 Now Lee is wondering if he was too stubborn about not signing up for Obamacare.
I have this feeling of fearful panic that is trying to rise up in me (about losing my husband, & about the financial disaster this is). I’m trying not to let it. I’m trying to remember that my God is bigger than any of this, & that He will provide.
Karen, when I went through all the infertility treatments we discovered that it is not illegal to bring a prescription drug into the US as long as you have a doctor’s prescription. You have a friend or two in Canada who could purchase at a much lover cost than here in the US and get them to you.
We order several of our drugs through NorthWestPharmacy.com and they are excellent. You need to get an Rx for 90 days’ supply with three refills. My doctor was happy to write them that way (and even confessed to ordering from Canada, himself, in the past). The prices on most items are much better, although somehow the pharmaceutical company was able to mess up my ability to get a good price on insulin, so it’s no longer cheaper (and is over $300 a month).
Thanks for those suggestions. We’ll keep them in mind for whatever comes up in the future. Costco’s pharmacy prices are quite low. In fact, one prescrip we have is cheaper than if we bought the OTC brand.
NancyJill – 🙂 Thank you so much, dear friend, for the beautiful flowers! What a lovely, sweet surprise! Made me smile with delight, & brought a tear to my eye. 🙂

THANK YOU, JESUS!
Costco has a generic version of the medication – same ingredients – only $24! Oh, what a relief!
Janice – Thanks. We’ll keep that in mind if future meds are too expensive.
