¹O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
Thank You for the pockets of peace in our world. Help us to not take them for granted for they are diametrically opposed to the consequences of sin being loosed in the world. Thank You for every inch of peacefulness on the land, seas, and in the air whitch covers the earth. May we each be instruments used by You to further peace and goodwill toward all people.
Lord, please bless the Gambia today. I ask that You would fill the hungry people there with physical and spiritual mourishment. May someone know sallvation in Christ there this day. Ease the broken-hearted who have not known the everlasting love of Jesus within their families. Please let the Holy Spirit rush into their lives with the good news of Jesus and His new way of doing life. Bless the missionaries there with good health, stamina, rest, healthy foods, good medical care, physical safety, convenient living space and transportation, good communications with loved ones back home and in all those individual ways that You know about from Your all-knowing point of view. I pray this for those in other areas as well such as PNG, East Asia, North America, Africa, Middle East and all the closed and dangerous areas in which some missionaries try to bring in the peace and love of Jesus. Thank You for miracle upon miracle in the lives of these called brothers and sisters in Christ.
Lord, You know the tricky maneuvers of the Georgia House regarding changes to the Common Core Sdnate bill. You also know what would be of most benefit to the children in the stste of Georgia. Please help the members of the House Ed. Board to see clearly and do the right thing. I pray they will vote to benefit children rather than be persuaded by big money plsyers. I call ouf to You for help on this today as they vote. As always, may Your will be done.
Lord, I pray for my pastor’s daughter to have a vood delivery either natural or c-section. Keep mom and baby in your good protective care in whatever procedures ard necesssry.
Lord, I pray for the needs in Roscuro’s family. Pleade bring healing. May they be blessed by seeing great improvements on halth issues.
Lord, thank You that the sun is now playing peek-a-boo. Thank You for birds that sing even in the middle of the day. It makes for a sweet day.
I continue to lift up my husband’s tax business. You know the pressues of various deadlines. Help everyone to work well together. May they know Your peace filling the office today.
Thank you for the prayers you share with us, Janice. You have such a sweet spirit that shines through.
Asking more prayers for my Lee, that God will bring some sort of change, some sort of relief into his work life, & in the meantime, sustain him, & fill him with His peace & “the joy of the Lord” to be his strength. Thank you.
I agree with Karen, Janice, on your gentle spirit evident in your prayers.
I’m praying for Lee, Karen.
You may recall my requesting prayers for the young woman, “FYG”, who was hospitalized recently with a badly broken leg from an ice skating accident. She is home, but travels to therapy appointments 3 times per week, and is making progress, as far as I know.
Now there is a new trial for this family. Another of their daughters, who is in her 20s, but who can’t speak, and functions at about the level of a 2-year-old, is now in the hospital (since Saturday) due to pleural effusion. X-rays this morning show she still has a collapsed left lung, with infected fluid around it. Please pray for “The Cherub”, as she is called.
Prayers also for the Cherub’s mom, for obvious reasons. Plus, just like with FYG’s hospitalization, the mom has to deal with a huge amount of staff people who aren’t given pertinent information. This time around, she has to repeatedly remind them that it should be noted in her chart that the Cherub is completely non-verbal and does not understand most of what they ask her to do.
And one other thing: the family has another daughter that is getting married on Saturday. It would be so sweet if the Cherub could be well enough to come home and be able to attend her sister’s wedding.
Update on my family: Youngest sibling did miscarry – pray for healing for her, physically and mentally. My mother is in a lot less pain today, though the swelling is still bad.
I’m sorry to hear that your sister miscarried. I will pray for her. Good to hear your mom is experiencing much less pain now, but will pray that the swelling will go down.
Lots of big things to pray about but I will add my little one because we are called to pray. Husband has signed the contract for the job and is supposed to report in next week but has not yet heard if Canada will allow him in. Like the US, they prefer to hire Canadian so the job is contingent on being too valuable to not bring in and there are already a couple with similar experience as husband. So we still wait. Prayer for trust. Thanks.
