Prayer Requests 2-15-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 24

¹The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

  1. Heavenly Father,

You have provided interesting extreme weather this year in many of our areas. Augusta,, Georgia is trying to get power restored and then an earthquake hit. Thank You that dams were not broken to cause flooding.

I sometimes wonder if You allow or cause such weather extremes so that some terrorist plot is put out of working order. You do so much behind the scenes and we can only speculate as to why You do what You do.

I ask that You would give comfort anf healing to AJ as he faces the pain from overactivity. Settle down the aches. Help him to find his comfort zone. Stabalize the soreness in his body, please. Also, I ask Your blessings to be upon his family as his mother is going through some heslth issues. You are aware of the needs for diagnosis and proper treatment. Please establish a strong system of support to meet her every need.

Lord, I lift up Mumsee and Mike. Help Mike with acceptance of employment decisions. May he feel fully commited to waiting on Your supply. Please help the Nest to keep illness from spreading among the children. Please give quick recouperation to the afflicted. Please supply all the needs for the nest so the children can be blessed with the daily presence of a mother and father figure. You do know best, Lord. May Your will be done, Amen

  2. Thanks for your prayers for Rosanna earlier this week. She’s now out of ICU, talking (and worrying), as well as continuing with dialysis–body hasn’t completely returned to normal. She does not yet know how long she was in a medically induced coma (nearly three weeks), but described how she went to a place of peace and rested–and it was good.

Interesting. She came very close to dying.

More rain needed here, but not until my daughter arrives–coming home to grieve with her best friend over Ron’s death on Thursday night.

    And do her taxes.

  3. Heavenly Father, thank You for helping people back from the brink of death.
Thank You for the big helps and the smaller helps. Today I especially thank You for chicken noodle soup and for the countless (for us) number of sick people who have felt some relief after that simple meal.

I do ask again that You would give additional gentle and long rain showers to the dry and thisty grounds of California.

I pray in the name of Jesus for His name accomplishes much. Amen

  4. Praise report (as mentioned on Rants & Raves)…

🙂 🙂 🙂 Tenants have found a new home! They’ll be moving around mid-March. Yippee! (I don’t know yet if they get to keep all their pets. Still waiting for a reply, but she “sounded” happy in her email.)

  5. 🙂 Karen and michelle’s news.

😦 My niece was in a snowmobile accident. She hit the same pole that Joe (who I asked for prayer for before) hit. He was in church again today and is doing much better. She broke her arm in many places, fractured her neck and spine and had some other issues. Unlike him, she did not hit her head for which we are most grateful. Please pray, too, that she would think about the deep issues of life and death and meet her Savior. She is a wonderful person, but does not have that, as far as we know. Of course, she needs physical healing, as well.

  6. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the blessing of the news Karen O received. Her joy is magnified by the joy of all here who rejoice with her and give You praise.

I lift up Kathleena’s neice for spiritual and physical healing. May her time of recouperation be an opportunity to slow down and take time to notice You. Please place health care workers and chaplains along her daily path who are Christian and able to present Jesus in a winsome and thoughtful way. Please may the Holy Spirit be actively drawing her (and also Karen O’s daughters). I ask that repairs be made in the proper manner to her broken bones. Please help her pain levels to be under control without any lingering suffering over the years of her life. Thank You that she has a good support system. When she despairs over what has occurred help her to quickly regain a good and healthy attitude to move forward. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  7. Heavenly Father, we lift up Janice’s cousin, Lenora. You know her better than any human being. We pray for your very best for her. We pray for her peace with you. We pray for you to help her medical team to be very wise and skillful in all that they must do for Lenora. We pray for comfort, healing and peace for her, in spite of this scary event. We pray for her loved ones to know how to love and comfort her. You are the Great Physician and we know that nothing is too difficult for you. Give wisdom for Lenora’s aftercare, that it might be healing for her. How we thank you for the privilege of bringing all things to you in prayer! We praise you for your great love for us and Lenora. We praise you for your great wisdom and ask everyone to accept your will.
