Son starts new job today which includes a commute in a rickety old truck; brother-in-law gets a new knee; Rosanna is improving and today they’re going to start weaning her from the ventilator.
More than 4 inches of rain over the weekend (haven’t found the actual number), God is good, but we’ll take more rain! 🙂 Please.
Thank You for rain in California. May what they have seen be a preview of future replinishing rains. May Your hand and heart giving the water that sustains life be seen as a picture of Your word that also gives life. The one gives physical life and the other eternal spiritual life. Please help those who are dead and dying in sin in California taste of the new life given through Jesus. Please, Holy Spirit, draw them up out of the depths of sin to live on the higher level with Jesus as their new Lord. May sin no longer hold them in bondage. Thank You for showing Your power, Father God, through Your command of the natural world which You have not allowed for freewill. Mother Nature is totally in Your contol. I pray for those who worship nature to see You behind all creation so You will get Your deserved reverence for Your creative genious.
Thank You, Abba, for how You innoculate us against fear and anxiety through Your words in Scripture, through the feeling of Your indwelling through the Holy Spirit and through the support and prayers of fellow believers and even the prsyers of Jesus. We are ever blessed in this regard. Everything else may crumble but Your word gives us sure footing for it lasts forever. Help us to recall it as needs arise.
Lord, I lift up those with sickness who have been mentioned on the blog. Please give good health to Mumsee and Mike, Rosanna, my husband, and the many others who fight with pains from disease. Strenghthen those who are helping with the needs of the afflicted.
Thank You Abba for AJ and all he does with this wonderful gathering place for believers. Please bless his family in some special ways.
Been having a lot of trouble lately dealing with the current situation, with lots of tears & discouragement. I had seemed to have reached a point of more acceptance & peace about the waiting, but then old frustrations ramped up & new frustrations popped up.
Please pray that God will “move heaven & earth” to help my tenants move out by the end of this month. Emily starts her LPN program on March 3 (I’m thanking God she’s taking the part-time program), which means a major change in routine & schedule for me, too. I would really like to have this situation over & done with before that. Thank you.

My friend Jenn (the lady with the severe stomach/intestinal problems), has been battling an ecoli infection for about three months. Now she finds out that her insides are adhering to each other. She needs another major surgery. She barely survived the last surgery. It was a few surgeries ago she was told she should have no more surgeries.
Karen, it is about control. The more you ask or try to depend on this person, the less you can count on them. Give up. It isn’t worth the frustraition.
I have said all I am going to say about your tenants. This has been going on how long?
Kim – I agree about it being a matter of control. I knew I shouldn’t expect anything, but was kinda hoping.
As for the tenants, it’s been about nine months since we asked them to start looking. In the beginning, we made the mistake of telling them they didn’t have to leave quickly. I didn’t realize how certain things would get much more difficult & frustrating.
In a recent email to them, I asked them to “think outside the box” about what they’re looking for, & to consider having someone else temporarily take their pets so they can move out & then take their time looking for somewhere that will allow their pets. I also suggested they check to see if there were any available programs for mortgages for lower-incomes.
They did say that last week they had some “interviews”, & lots of calls already made & more to make.
