Please pray for all the people who will be affected by this winter mix of precipitation in areas that don’t usually suffer it. Especially remember those who may have flu or other illness and can’t get to doc or get meds. Once in such a storm when power went out and son was on nebulizer for asthma we had no way to do his treatment.
Also, I think I may speak with acquistions editor on Make a Great Mistake this week. Pray our discussion will be productive. It’s not ready for a contract yet, but that is still the eventual goal.
Have you written a proposal? Send it to me and I’ll give you some feedback.
Lots of difficult issues for people in my life, though not me. It’s an honor to pray.
Ron is still hanging on and his daughter went back to college. The baby is still in her mom’s womb, both on total bed rest. A relatively young mom (30) of a thirteen year old is dealing with a sheaf of consultants to try to help that teenager who has been having seizures daily since birth.
This may or may not be the result of Obamacare, but her husband’s health care provider changed on January 1, and they took this child to a new doctor. The boy has an extremely rare medical condition few have ever seen before. The new insurance required a new physical and this precious family is dealing with repercussions that are terrifying them and giving them hope.
I’m in awe at the way God has worked in their lives and for their witness. I simply could not have done what they’ve done with such a cheerful heart. I’m humbled, and it’s given me cause for reflection on my own soul.
Thank you, Lord, you do not work in our lives in a vacuum, but that you enable us to learn and grow from one another. Please be with Ron in his final days, may he see your glory. Please fill Beth with your peace and use this time of enforced reflection to draw her heart to you. And be with Lindsay and Dave as they walk yet another hard road. Thank you for the blessings of their marriage and family, help find an answer to their son’s suffering.
Pray for a friend, Kathy, who has lost her mom (76) to a stroke. They were very close and the end was rather unexpected although the mom had other/unrelated health issues in recent years. They moved to Alaska a couple years ago.
Thank you.Michelle, for the offer to help with the proposal. I took the manuscript to the conference I went to in Las Vegas and gave it to two acquisition editors in the same company. It got awkward because I was having some phonr conversation with one but then the other one put it in the system. I was worried I hsd done something wrong but it seems to be okay. Since I gave them the work I don’t think I have to do a proposal. I do need to do a bio. I guess when I talk to the acquisitions editor he will say if a proposal is needed at this point in the process. The manuscript is only about 500 words, nothing to compare to the novels you write. I may send you a copy if I can manage to do that from this phone so you can see what it is like at this point. It will go through some more polishing.
Thsnk You for the beauty of the snow. It reminds me of how Jesus washes our scarlet sins white as snow. Thank You.
Thank You that my brother finally got home. Thank You for warmth and the good smells from the oven. It’s perfect baking weather. I do lift up those who are cold, hungry and in need of knowing Jesus. Help them in their discomfort and fill them with newness of life.
Lord, specific needs have been mentioned here today. Please be adding strength to those suffering ffom ailments and on beds of affliction. Be a comfort to those who suffer unddr the great weight of grief from loss of a loved one. I also ask humbly that You would stir up the clouds in California and let there be seed clouds and clouds pregnant with raindrops to bring refreshment to that dry land. Bring green back to replace the brown. You did that in Georgia after our Governor prayed humbly. Plesse hear all those crying out for relief in CA. Please do this for the sake of the believers. Mzny are those in that state that are against You, yet there rdmain some who are faithful and true to You. Please, for their sake and for the sake of the innocent childrdn, I pray for good doaking, not flooding, showers. You madd rain and it is Yours to give. We look up to You to providr. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

Oh, and please, Lord, could California have rain–not because we deserve it, but as a reflection of your mercy.
