Prayer Requests 12-19-13

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

I’m praising God that our 2 travelers, Jo and Phos/Roscuro made it home safely.

I’m praying for their health, that they would receive rest, and enjoy their time at home.

And I’m thanking Him for a 3rd, who kept us up to date on things. Thank you Joanne. 🙂

Psalm 119:57-72

⁵⁷Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.

⁵⁸I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

⁵⁹I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

⁶⁰I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

⁶¹The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

⁶²At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

⁶³I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

I could use some prayer today as I will be doing some electrical work. I don’t like to do it, but I had a switch go bad. So later this morning I’m gonna cut the power and fix it. I hope. Thanks.

AJ, that is shocking. (is it bad form to post bad jokes on the “Prayer” thread?)

No it’s not. 🙂

And shocking isn’t something I want to experience today, for obvious reasons.

I’m hoping there is nothing shocking at all today. 🙂

Praying AJ has nothing shocking happen today. Joining in on the praises and thankfulness for several on here lately.

Aj, just be sure the right circuit breaker switch is off.
I have a 60w light with two bare wires I use to test every circuit before I touch any bare wires.
And wear rubber sole shoes to be double safe.
Electricity always wants to go to “ground”. You don’t want to be in the circuit.

Thanks for the advice Chas. I have a tester too, but I can’t get it to work. It won’t work at the switch I’m replacing, and I can’t get it too anywhere else either. I think I know what breaker it is, but just to be safe I have decided to shut off the main breaker and shut the whole house down until I’m done, just to be sure. It should only take 10-15 minutes to swap them out. I hope. 🙂

Well I replaced the switches. And it’s still not working. Everything else on the circuit works except for the lights. Maybe it’s a broken wire. Guess it’s time to call in a professional. 😦
