😦 Recurring dreams.
My recurring dreams usually consist of finding out that I have a test tomorrow in a class I haven’t attended all year, etc.
Sometimes, I’m walking naked down a busy highway.
This is more rare, but early this morning, I was driving down the interstate with cars all around. Suddenly, a film came over my eyes and I can’t see. But I see a taillight of a car in front of me and I follow it. I find myself in Westlawn, the location of the first house we bought in Falls Church.
Then I could see again. Then I woke up.
Aahh, now I see why I was first on the other thread. Chas was over here!
🙂 Feeling much better and have even eaten a little.
🙂 Enjoying an unexpected few days of hot water and air conditioning.
😦 Waiting for test results.
😦 Still need the abdominal ultrasound.
🙂 The technology is available here. Affordable here. And I can get it without having to wait for 3-6 months! I shouldn’t complain that I have to wait from Friday to Monday.
Best of all, I am continually reminded that God loves me and that I have people all around me and around the world who love me too.
I am familiar with that test dream, Chas. I also have one quite often where I find I am short a required class for graduation and it is too late to take it. I always comfort myself that I can do a class during the summer, while at the same time trying to figure out how I am going to convince my parents that it is no problem. Funny to have such dreams at my age! Or not so funny, as the case may be. 😉
🙂 Time spent with my daughter and her sons in TN.
🙂 A safe trip home. Cooler weather and all the comforts of home.
😦 Always missing someone, no matter where I am.
😦 Unkindness and ego issues with band partners of my husband. It always makes me sad. No unkindness towards us, but toward another person, who just does not need the aggravation at a stressful time of her life.
( Dryer conked out right before we left, so we had to get a quick replacement on our return. I hate buying off sale and knowing they just do not last like they used to.
🙂 Far more blessings than I deserve from a loving, Heavenly Father.
🙂 Saturday. The cat let me sleep in until 5:30 before demanding to be let out. She usually wakes me up at 5. But I went back to sleep.
🙂 Wrote a fun story yesterday on mysterious cat stencil figures (ala street artist banksy) on random commercial/retaining walls all over town that is getting a lot of ‘chatter.’
🙂 Ordered some new glasses — overdue after 2 years. Wish I could still wear contacts, but my doctor says the contacts correcting for astigmatism (which I have a lot of) would just wreak havoc with my eyes now being on the too-dry side. 😦
🙂 Fall is coming. It’s already getting darker so much earlier now.
🙂 Oh, yay! I thought of another rave: A ladies Bible study is starting up this week and it’s only about 25 minutes away! We’ll be meeting every other week, but I really enjoy getting together with other women to study God’s word and fellowship together.
🙂 The celebration of L.’s 14th birthday Thursday. And Friday. And today. What an amazing blessing that “mistake” turned out to be!
🙂 A supportive husband
🙂 God’s grace
😦 Becca’s struggling in school. She’s complaining that the letters are moving around like ants whenever she tries to copy anything. Talked to numerous professionals yesterday who said it sounds like Irlins Syndrome.
😦 It’ll take almost a month before she can be tested.
🙂 In the meantime, I’ve found a tutor who specializes in working with kids with the disorder. We meet him next Sunday.
🙂 Looking forward to seeing my sister and two of her kids the weekend of the 28th!
🙂 A very successful slumber party! I went to bed at midnight and slept soundly until 7:30. The house is still completely silent–I have no idea what time they finally went to bed.
Who won the poll?
I lost three: Kentucky, Nebraska and Purdue.
Gamecocks beat Commadores. I know you are all excited about that.
As Maxwell Smart would say, Boilers came “that close”.
Just in from watching a cool outdoor event. Jake and I just finished bringing the guinea fowl in from outside the deer fence when she noticed some coyotes up on the hill making a racket. I looked and saw a big dog up with them. Got the spotting scope and learned it was actually a very big mountain lion. It chased the coyotes for a bit then turned back to the woods. They yipped and chased and prodded until it came after them again. Went on for a good twenty minutes. The coyotes are still there, the lion is back in the woods. I guess I will go back to packing my gun on my rounds. I don’t think the deer fence will stop the lion any more than the last one. I don’t have any ducks to feed it, but I do have the guineas.
Mumsee, how exciting. I would love to see a mountain lion in the wild. Hubby has, but not me. I would, however, like to be in a safe place when I see one.

😦 I feel like I just have rants today.
😦 The ladder which has been set up outside our house in random places for over 2 months, was finally taken down and put partially under the deck.
😦 I needed to use that ladder today, as I am alone and doing one small wall of siding. It’s a big, heavy (but very useful) ladder.
😦 When I pulled it out and set it up all the dirt that it picked up under the deck showered down on me.
🙂 Siding is starting to look good, just have the east side of the house to do now (and around a few windows we’re replacing)

We were in a safe place. On our deck. It was a good three or four hundred yards away. I do think it was very big though, it sure dwarfed the coyotes!
