😦 The Sweetest Woman In The World is leaving me.
🙂 This is her yearly trek to Greenwood for the Butler Reunion.
🙂 She and Polly are going together, and I don’t have to go.
They started meeting in 1932. To Elvera, it was bigger than Christmas because she always got a new dress for the Butler Reunion. The Butlers are her birth mother’s family. They kept going even after her mother died in 1941. At times, there were more Collins’ there than Butlers.
🙂 She will be coming back to the Sweetest Husband In the World tomorrow afternoon, after the reunion.
😦 She will leave something in the refrigerator for me, but I likely won’t eat it. This has been going on for, seems like, centuries.
🙂 Hubby is coming home Monday.
😦 He is leaving again on Wednesday.
🙂 He will be here when they refrigerator repairman comes. He speaks Repairman better than I do and will understand what he tells us is wrong.
😦 When he gets home for a longer time we will have to discuss what to do about some bad behavior of the Kid.
🙂 😦 The Kid’s best friend is moving this weekend. 🙂 because he has not been a great influence on the Kid and 😦 because there will be no one else to play with except a worse influence or the one I call “Eddiie Haskell kid”.
😆 The compound cats have been lonely without us. I woke up this morning to hear Aji suun’s cat meowing loudly outside my window. I looked out the window to see where she was and saw her head on a parallel with mine I wondered for a moment if I was still dreaming and then I saw that she was hanging off my window screen. I have no idea how she got up on that screen, but she must have been desperate to see a human 😀
roscuro, Annie’s done that. I wake up and see her spread eagle, all four legs stretched out, her claws attached to the top part of the window screen on my bedroom window. It looks like she’s floating in space above me.
It means they really, really want in. Or out, all depending on which side of the screen they’re on. 😉
🙂 🙂 Eeee. School supplies. I love looking at school supplies, I don’t know why. A couple years in a row I pulled the Labor Day holiday shift and got to do stories on families shopping for school supplies (back then our schools mostly started the following day; now they start much earlier).
I loved hanging out in the school supply aisle of Target or Staples waiting for someone I could interview 🙂 while getting to look at all those cool, colorful notebooks and binders and pencils and folders …
Donna, school supplies don’t excite me, but office supplies do. I look forward to getting the new office supply catalogue at the office – love all the organizing, labelling and other stuff!
I agree, I love the school/office supplies and ways to get organized. Reminds me I need to email me a friend to go buy me some Crayola colored pencils as the packs are down to 99cents right now. I put them in the birthday box when the nationals in my class have a birthday.
😦 Had the house all nice and clean for the Refrigerator repairman Friday, then they called and said he wouldn’t be here until Monday. Now after a weekend with a grounded child it is all messed up again.
KBells, I think you just stumbled upon what to have The Kid do to keep himself busy — clean up the messes he made before the refrigerator repairman shows up. Give him a list of what he has to get done before Mr. Repairman shows up, or he pays the bill. 😉
Well, whatever, if it’s his mess, it’s his responsibility to clean it up. Keep him up late, get him up early, whatever it takes, even if he has to keep cleaning during and/or after the repairman’s visit.

I love office supplies, too — I think it’s the ever-elusive promise of how you’ll be organized if you just buy this stuff.

🙂 My woman came back to me. I was about ready to write a country song.
She said that she’s glad to be back home.
I’m happy to hear that.

For Chas- A country song:
My woman came back to me, just about quarter past three.
When she left the other day, I hoped she’d not stay away.
Now we’re here together, no matter the weather;
My woman came back to me, Let’s have a grand party!
