Who has a request or praise to share today?
Psalm 25
1 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Wandering Views 
I’d like to ask for prayer for my wife Cheryl today. Today is her father Howard’s birthday, and it’s the first without him since he went home to the Lord. My wife is really missing him and feeling the loss. If you could offer some prayers to Lord on her behalf, I’d be most appreciative. Thanks.

AJ, be especially kind to her today and give her lots and lots of hugs. We spread my dad’s ashes on his birthday. You all know I am still not over it.
Prayers for Cheryl today. … Perhaps a cupcake or something for her to take outside and “share” with her dad?

Prayer for the friends who are taking the eleven children. And us in our travels. One of the eleven year olds has been doing a lot of screaming and wailing, as she does when she is perplexed. She will have fun but it will be a change and change is hard for her.

I previously wrote out a long prayer for Cheryl but my computer went down and lost it. That happens too frequently. I will try again!
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being our Father when we are missing our earthly father. I lift up AJ’s wife Cheryl to You for blessing today as she misses her earthly father. Thank You for giving her a good and loving father who helped her to learn to share love. I pray You will bless her with good memories this day and comfort her with Your joy that is preceious and comes to us in the midst of sorrow. Please bring some smiles to Cheryl’s face today as she remembers her dear father. I pray that You will help her to find some action which can distract from grief and overcome the grief as she is engaged with doing something to bring others good memories of her father. Perhaps she could send a card to one of his friends or grandchildren or make a picture frame for an old photo or go to a plant nursery and get some favorite plant of his to set out in the yard. Lord, You know what would be something good for her to do that fits Cheryl and her memories. Please bless her and do not let her sink low in grief. Thank You for all the ways You help us and give comfort when needed. Last week you allowed my son and me to pass by the barbershop that my father owned after retirement from the Navy. My father’s birthday was on April 30th so that was like a birthday gift to be able to share with my son about his grandfather since my father died when I was three months pregnant with my son who was my father’s only grandchild. Abba, You have that way of knowing just what kind of blessing is right for a believer. So please give Cheryl something very special this day. Also, I ask that AJ’s pain would be lessened. Give AJ and Cheryl a good day, better than they could have anticipated, because You are in control and You are known to give good gifts. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen
