Prayer Requests 2-21-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 135:1-3

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.

2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.

3 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

  1. Mr. P is having back surgery tomorrow. Also a co-worker’s daughter was in a wreck on Monday which led to the discovery of drug use. They are looking at treatment facilities. This is a tough one as many of you know.

  2. Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the blessings of this day. For the moment at least our land knows relative peace except for when someone goes crazy. I pray for those who have lost their loved ones in those happenings that You would comfort them again today. Thank You for allowing authorities to stop such incidents from happening.

Lord, I lift up Kim and Mr. P for You blessing of peace and freedom from anxiety over his upcoming surgery. Please help him to do all the prep correctly so his body will be at optimum for the surgery. Bless his surgeon with good rest and lack of any distractions. I pray the surgeon will be divinely guided to do the repair work both quickly and accurately. May the recovery be a blessed time of enjoying being cared for and learning what works best to strengthen the healing body. I pray for a good attitude, a lack of pain, and loving expressions from the church family for Mr. P and Kim. May they feel supported by the prayers of many.

I also pray for Kim’s co-worker’s daughter’s situation. May the right plan of treatment be successful in bringing her to full recovery. Thank You for the accident which probably saved her life and gave her a second chance. May she recognize Your hand of blessing at work in her life in turning something bad into something good. Comfort the family as they go through the trauma of this unexpected discovery about their daughter. Bless them through the ordeal with the kindness of many reaching out to them. May they realize the love of Christ flowing from many sources they have not known before.

Thank You, Lord, for the great power to overcome the world that You display to those who put their trust in You. We cast our cares upon You knowing that You do care for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Out son has done pretty well with his behavior this last week. However. I had a little problem with him last night and this morning. Pray that he doesn’t take this to school today. We have a teacher’s conference this afternoon.

  4. Let’s remember to pray for Klasko headed into a trying weekend with family.

Lord, I pray you would be with Klasko and her family as they spend concentrated time together. I ask for cooperation and honesty among the family members and that you would enable Klasko to hear with your ears, see with your eyes, understand with your heart and speak love with your voice.

I pray you would make her conscious that you are beside her each step of the way and that you would give her the opportunity to connect, particularly, with her mother in a way they’ve not been able to speak to each other before.

I pray your Holy Spirit with descend upon that family, even upon those who don’t know you, that truth would be revealed and their pathway clear.

I also pray that Klasko would feel your presence, comforting her, should events not meet her hopes.

Thank you for your love for each and every member of that family. We pray for safety in travel and that at the end of each day, Klasko would see something to praise and thank you for.

    In Jesus’s name.

    Amen.

  5. Thank you michelle. I should have posted again today, but I posted on yesterday’s prayer requests an update. The trip has been canceled. Now that bipolar brother and his wive ave ditched the family meeting and made other plans for the weekend, Mother has uninvited Sister and I. “Everything’s fine now. We don’t need you to come. Please don’t come.”

Sister and I decided that we don’t need the aggravation of attempting to help people who don’t really want our help. (They all just wanted allies so they could gang up on someone else.).

  6. A semi answer to my prayer request above.. They are having trouble finding a treatment fascility within the state that will take their insurance. The daughter is terrified to go through the withdrawals. I got the thought to suggest they make an appointment with their family doctor to see if he can put the daughter in the hospital and get her through withdrawal. They have an appointment at 2pm and perhaps he can help get her into a fascility. (your prayers at work, I wouldn’t have thought of that on my own)
    Please continue to pray.

  7. We had a good meeting with the Kid’s teacher and another senior teacher. Seems the senior teacher adopted two of her grandchildren and understands a bit about dealing with adopted children. One thing she said was not to let them use adoption as an excuse.
