  1. Good morning! We’re supposed to get to 80° today, after only hitting 40 something Monday. Gotta love Spring weather in the Midwest.

    Mark Twain had this to say about weather in the Spring in New England:

    There is a sumptuous variety about the New England weather that compels the stranger’s admiration—and regret. The weather is always doing something there; always attending strictly to business; always getting up new designs and trying them on the people to see how they will go. But it gets through more business in spring than in any other season. In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four-and-twenty hours.</blockquote

  4. No sun here and a prediction of up to 12 inches of snow in the next couple of days. Hopefully, our daughter and her youngest two will be able to get here for the weekend. We are going to celebrate a couple’s 50th anniversary.

    Those flowers look like cowslips to me. Is that what others call them? A sign of spring for sure.

  5. Ah! Bright and cheerful flowers to start the day. The earth makes a lovely vase.

    It made it up to 80° yesterday and plans to do so again today after a chilly night.

    Art got home around 11 p.m. and slept until 8:30 a.m. so it was a late start here. Sleeping late was welcome. Even Miss Bosley did not try to get me up early.

  7. Good morning, all, a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Sun is shining, frost is melting, daffodils are dillying, should get up to mid forties.

    In other news, the Creator Who arranged all these beauties continues to reign. I have been reading in Genesis and all the shenanigans and God working His plans through broken people. I have been reading in Luke and how God continued to bring His plan to fruition. I have been living today and seeing all the little day to day things and how they too are a part of His working out His plans.

  9. Oh, I checked voice mail and Art left the office at 10:45 so I guess it was closer to midnight when he got home. It all runs together. Sleeping until 8:30 was needed!

    The main filing season is over. Other smaller deadlines appear throughout the year such as various quarterly filings, corporate end of year which is different from personal (he does not have many corporate accounts), and finally the extension deadline in the fall.

    I am mowing. I am sweating while taking a break. Thankful I feel like doing it! Glad to have green weeds that look nice when all the same height.💚😃🤍

  10. I finished Luther. The last section went into Truth and Freedom which was very important to Luther. At one point I heard something along the lines of forcing one’s correct beliefs on others is just as bad as being wrong in one’s beliefs. I think I need to go back and listen again to the ending of the book.

  11. Weeds are find when they’re mowed and green. 🙂

    But it’s the dawn of what looks like a massive fox-tail season out here. 😦 Those are the bad, the wicked weeds.

    I still have a strap of sleigh bells w/the (faux) evergreen winter/Christmas wreath on my front door.

    Just had a long virtual training (they throw those at us periodically) on how and when stories should post, what tags to use, and still another refresher on social media, esp Instagram (IG) which now allows us to share posts (it’s changed in the past year).

    We had to sign up for every social media site that came down the pike 10-15 years ago, it was when the medium was bursting forth and there were new sites cropping up almost weekly. We were exhausted. And so many of them were brief flashes, they vanished almost as quickly as they appeared.

    Anyone remember Rebel Mouse? Google Plus?

    But it also was much more fun back then. Live tweeting!

    Now? Not so much, by a long shot.

    So now sharing copy on IG is all the rage in our company’s young social media gurus who head up the latest social media push — I have an ancient IG account (with one solo photo of Annie the only thing I ever put on it) so I now need to figure out how to kill that account out and start fresh. Groan.

  15. I love my weeds! They bring in all sorts of life to my yards and pastures. Lots of beautiful flowers that I do not need to water. And I enjoy them with my eggs.

  17. Our yard would be bare but for the weeds. Purple and white violets, dandelions, and another small yellow flowering grass. The various colors in the green grass make a lovely carpet.

  18. I did hate mowing down all the blooming bugle weeds, or wild ajuga. I have bought and planted other varieties of ajuga so I really hate having to do that, but I have to mow frequently now since it takes too much out of me if I wait and the plot thickens!😃
