Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 132
A song of ascents.
1 Lord, remember David
and all his self-denial.
2 He swore an oath to the Lord,
he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “I will not enter my house
or go to my bed,
4 I will allow no sleep to my eyes
or slumber to my eyelids,
5 till I find a place for the Lord,
a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 We heard it in Ephrathah,
we came upon it in the fields of Jaar:[a]
7 “Let us go to his dwelling place,
let us worship at his footstool, saying,
8 ‘Arise, Lord, and come to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might.
9 May your priests be clothed with your righteousness;
may your faithful people sing for joy.’”
10 For the sake of your servant David,
do not reject your anointed one.
11 The Lord swore an oath to David,
a sure oath he will not revoke:
“One of your own descendants
I will place on your throne.
12 If your sons keep my covenant
and the statutes I teach them,
then their sons will sit
on your throne for ever and ever.”
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion,
he has desired it for his dwelling, saying,
14 “This is my resting place for ever and ever;
here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.
15 I will bless her with abundant provisions;
her poor I will satisfy with food.
16 I will clothe her priests with salvation,
and her faithful people will ever sing for joy.
17 “Here I will make a horn grow for David
and set up a lamp for my anointed one.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame,
but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.”

Please pray for Jacob, a 2nd grade boy in our congregation. He was involved in an accident and had emergency brain surgery. He was airlifted out of the area last night and is listed in very critical condition.
Please also pray for his parents, Eric and Liz, and his siblings.

How awful, 6. Praying for Jacob and his parents. Just so sad. Asking for God to save his life and his brain function so he can live to do great things in his lifetime for God’s kingdom. May God be glorified through the repair and healing of Jacob. May his parents feel comfort from the Holy Spirit who helps them when they don’t know what to do or say. Thanking God for their vibrant church fellowship who will hold them up in this time of unknown and distress. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Please hold my husband’s cousin, Daryll, in your prayers as well. He couldn’t make it to his brother’s funeral because he is still in such grief over the sudden unexpected death of his wife. He is having a very difficult time. He is a believer.

Prayer here. Husband is ill and I seem to be getting there. I dropped the two off at church with assignment to attend, buy lunch, go to work, get picked up from there.
Prayer of wisdom for dealing with my folks. My dad was surprised I was there yesterday and does not remember me being there in months, though I have been almost every week for months into years except the depths of winter driving and illness.

Prayers, Kathaleena, for Daryll. My friend’s neice lost the grandmother who raised her and then her husband two weeks later, both to Covid, not so long back, and it is a huge burden to know how to process. Prayers for God to provide as only He knows what will be needed for Daryll. It really helped in this otger situation that the woman joined a widow’s grief counseling group.

Mumsee, I hope it is not another go round with the ‘Vid.’
Perhaps your dad has an underlying infection affecting his thought processing. I know older ladies don’t think straight when they have an UTI. Prayers for wellness for y’all and discernment regarding Dad.

Jacob has reportedly had more than one surgery since the accident Friday, in an effort to control his brain swelling. Thank you for keeping him and his family in your prayers, especially in these early, crucial days since the accident.
Our pastor that sent out the prayer request email, who also is Jacob’s uncle, wrote, “May we find comfort and strength in God’s promises, love and power!” Amen.
