Prayer Requests 5-10-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 98

A psalm.

Sing to the Lord a new song,
    for he has done marvelous things;
   his right hand and his holy arm
    have worked salvation for him.
The Lord has made his salvation known
    and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
He has remembered his love
    and his faithfulness to Israel;
   all the ends of the earth have seen
    the salvation of our God.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
    burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp,
    with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
    shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
    let the mountains sing together for joy;
let them sing before the Lord,
    for he comes to judge the earth.
   He will judge the world in righteousness
    and the peoples with equity.

  1. Husband has delivered the lift chair. Now for brother to convince my dad it is okay to use it. My dad has a very sunken couch spot in the couch that my mom and dad bought years before she died. So it is close to fifty. He struggles to get out. Has to lean far forward and we think that is how he lost his balance last week. The chair, if he will use it, will set him gently on his feet and should be a big help. If he will use it. Prayer that he will see we are trying to help him stay where he is by giving him the tools. Better:prayer that he will see the love of Christ in these actions.

  2. D will remain off work with pay as the student is at school and they want to make sure they are safe, while they continue to ‘investigate’. Sigh. Praying for all. Especially the student – they need the most prayer here. D & I sent a message this morning with “Be Thou My Vision”. saying this is their prayer.

  3. Praying Kare….I keep hearing the song Keith Green sang oh so many years ago “When Love Broke Through”…..may it be so in this moment for the student…..

    Mumsee we purchased a lift chair for my Dad just a month before he passed away and it helped tremendously. He was hesitant at first but once he got ahold of that “magic button” he was in control and loved it!

  4. Mumsee, I too, meant to mention that the lift chair my dad has basically is keeping him in their suite instead a full care nursing home.

  5. My father in law had one. He and Mom both used it. They help a great deal, and can aid the caregivers too. 🙂

    Cheryl and I were just discussing ways to add a master bedroom and full bath downstairs to prepare for when stairs get to difficult for us.

    So like by Tuesday…..

  6. Continued prayers on all these fronts.

    Follow-up to a couple of previous prayer requests: From last night, NYC student is safely back there from DC. And from Friday, when I goofed and short-changed a family who was temporarily to have longer lessons to make up for my covid absence, I sent an apology immediately after the mom sent me that email with the angry emoji at the end. She replied today and accepted my offer to make up for my error, and said she understands how crazy things can get when having to schedule make-up lessons. (She is a former piano teacher.)

    Thanks for praying.

    Oh, also, we didn’t get any storm damage last night. There were three tornadoes yesterday on our side of the state, though.

    There’s another severe storm risk tonight until 7:00am. More prayers appreciated. Thanks.
