Prayer Requests 4-5-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 67

A psalm. A song.

May God be gracious to us and bless us
    and make his face shine on us—
so that your ways may be known on earth,
    your salvation among all nations.

May the peoples praise you, God;
    may all the peoples praise you.
May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
    for you rule the peoples with equity
    and guide the nations of the earth.
May the peoples praise you, God;
    may all the peoples praise you.

The land yields its harvest;
    God, our God, blesses us.
May God bless us still,
    so that all the ends of the earth will fear him

  1. Prayers for Aj and NancyJill’s husband. And, of course, for their wives because the two have become one and what affects one affects the other.

  2. Thank you ladies.

    The tax part of my day is completed, and it wasn’t as bad as we expected. It was still bad, but could have been worse. 🙂

    I’m hoping the second part, the doctor part, is the same, not as bad as I expect. 🙂

  3. Yes, prayers for our AJ.

    Asking prayer for my Chickadee again. It really does seem like she is in “the enemy’s camp”. (Although I suppose that could be said in a general way for all unbelievers.)

    As I’ve said before, I honestly think that it was the influence of the McK sisters that convinced her that she is transgender, rather than merely not a stereotypical female. (She still mostly dresses and looks like a female who dresses casually.) A couple days ago, YA shared on Facebook a chart of the various supposed sexualities. Today, she shared an article that claims that the idea of two sexes is overly simplistic. And she has often expressed support for transgender ideology.

    Something I was trying to remind myself of this morning is that sometimes God lets the situation get to the point of impossible before He acts. (Such as the crossing of the Red Sea with the Egyptian army right on their tail.) Please pray that God will bring a miraculous healing and deliverance for my Chickadee.

    Also for a young man S and a young woman M who are each living as the opposite sex. M has had drastic surgeries to remove her female parts. 😦 (And for the McK sisters as well.)

  4. Well I’m back from the doctor.

    The people who told me the cystoscopy was easy have not been completely honest. 🙂

    It was pretty horrible all in all, including the results. 😦

    No kidney stones. The scopy showed a small abnormality on the wall of my bladder. The doctor said it doesn’t look like cancer usually looks, and there was no cancer detected in my urinalysis or blood tests, both good signs. But it will need further treatment obviously.

    They will now schedule me for a biopsy and removal of the area in question, as well as a ureteroscopy of the ureters and kidneys. Thankfully I will be out under anesthesia for this. I’m still pretty freaked out over it all.

  5. Oh, AJ. I am sorry to hear it was not as easy as expected. Perhaps the cystoscopy was not as difficult for Art because he had the comparison of having passed fragments of kidney stones after they were blasted and some other unpleasant things like the catheter and stent that caused awful spasms that hurt like crazy.
    And of course we wish you had gotten a better report, but all in all it is better than it could have been. We are and will be with Jesus in intercession for you when you have the procedure. Thanking God in advance for medicines that allow people to sleep through surgical procedures.

  6. Praying for you, brother. He knows the details and His plans for you. Praying peace and comfort and trust in the One who loves you more than you love yourself. And for Cheryl.

  7. Pray for my neighbor R (husband of S who’s had the stroke) — the aortic aneurysm he had surgery for about 9 years ago has returned and needs to be operated on asap, so they’re setting up the surgery at UCLA.

    It’s a very complicated situation as she relies so much on him now to help get her around, to and from the bathroom sometimes in the night as she can’t walk at this point.

    He won’t be able to do any lifting for some time after the surgery. They may have the woman who’s been coming over to give S therapy on her hand move in for a while if she can, or maybe the kids can help out, but they work and are raising teens so that’s also complicated; but they do live close. I told her anything I can do just holler.

  8. We just found out one of our neighbours was killed yesterday morning in a collision with a stolen truck. Please pray for Diane and her family who are left behind. Husband would visit with them while on patrol when they were camping each summer. Their grandson loves to see husband coming and always had stories to tell him.
