  1. Democrats and their pro-criminal and anti-police policies built that.

“101 police officers shot in line of duty, a 43% increase from 2021: National Fraternal Order of Police

The latest figure marks a 43% increase compared to 2021 and a 63% increase compared to 2020”

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/police-officers-shot-2022

“The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), the world’s largest organization of law enforcement officers, has counted 101 officers shot in the line of duty as of April 1, including 17 fatally, so far in 2022.

The latest figure marks a 43% increase compared to the number of officers shot at the same time period in 2021 and a 63% increase compared to 2020, FOP reports.

“We are in the midst of a real crisis. The violence directed at law enforcement officers is unlike anything I’ve seen in my 36 years of law enforcement,” National FOP President Patrick Yoes said in a Friday statement. “Last year was one of the most dangerous years for law enforcement, with more officers shot in the line of duty since the National Fraternal Order of Police began recording this data.””

  2. They are everything they falsely accused Trump family of being, and worse.

“The Biden Family Racket Is Everything Leftists Fabricated About The Trumps, And Media Are Crickets”

    https://thefederalist.com/2022/04/01/the-biden-family-racket-is-everything-leftists-fabricated-about-the-trumps-and-media-are-crickets/

“President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden are the picture of scandal and corruption that the Democrats and corporate media tried to make former President Donald Trump and his family out to be — but instead of covering the bombshell stories, the press is turning a blind eye.

Even before Trump won the election in 2016 after gaining popularity for calling out “fake news,” Democrats and the media were out to get him. Hillary Clinton’s campaign hired lawyers who hired a firm that hired Christopher Steele to dredge up fake news about Trump colluding with Russia. This fake information was then fed to the Obama administration which launched a spy campaign against Trump and his aides based on false pretenses.

During Trump’s time in office, the corporate media gave him hell for everything he did. They scrutinized his tweets, twisted his words, and intentionally tried to undermine his presidency using lies that won Pulitzers.

While the Russia collusion hoax and discredited Steele dossier still dominated corporate media coverage about Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr., Democrats orchestrated two sham impeachments against the president, whom they claimed was guilty of treason. These political attacks were sustained with plenty of negatively framed press coverage about Trump’s sons, daughters, and son-in-law.

    It was all lies.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of real scandals about the Biden family and their conflicts of interest that deserve extra scrutiny but are merely snubbed by the corporate press.

There are literal receipts of the Biden family conducting shady business dealings overseas and profiting off of relationships with sworn enemies but the corporate press doesn’t seem to mind. Publications such as The Washington Post and The New York Times, which won Pulitzers for lying about Trump, worked overtime to intentionally downplay or bury the findings on the laptop and mischaracterize them to save the elder Biden from criticism and possibly losing the 2020 election.

Only now, nearly two years after reporting on Hunter’s abandoned laptop was censored and suppressed under false allegations of “Russian disinformation,” has the press barely admitted the laptop is legit.

Hunter exploited his father’s political reputation to strike business deals with oligarchs in Ukraine and China, a fact that was apparent even before the laptop emerged. Hunter may have even possibly given a portion of his equity deals to Joe Biden but the legacy press refuses to report on that significance.

While Biden was vice president, Hunter was appointed to the Burisma Holdings board of directors for a whopping $50,000 per month despite having no prior energy experience. He also helped his Chinese business partners secure a deal handing them the majority of a cobalt mine in Congo just two weeks after he traveled to Communist China on his dad’s, the then-vice president, Air Force Two jet. Hunter also raked in millions from the ex-Moscow mayor’s wife.

Recent findings suggest the energy company CEFC, dubbed “an arm of the Chinese government” by Republican senators, funneled money directly to a company managed by Hunter to compensate him for offering legal representation to CEFC vice-chairman and secretary-general Dr. Patrick Ho Chi Ping, the “spy chief of China.” The same month CEFC sent the $1 million wire to Hudson West Three, Ho was arrested, charged, and later convicted for using millions of dollars to “bribe top officials of Chad and Uganda in exchange for business advantages for CEFC.” Around the same time of his arrest, Ho made a phone call to James Biden, Joe’s brother.”

  3. Another false narratives dies a horrible death.

“The Countries That Locked Down The Hardest Are Now Being Decimated By COVID-19”

    https://dailycaller.com/2022/04/01/lockdown-zero-covid-coronavirus-china-south-korea-new-zealand/

“Several of the countries that pursued a “zero-COVID” strategy or otherwise implemented harsh lockdown restrictions are now facing their most devastating waves of the pandemic.

In the U.S., COVID-19 has been on a steady decline since January in terms of both cases and deaths. In places like China, South Korea and New Zealand, officials that were once lauded for a highly effective pandemic response are now facing drastic spikes in cases and deaths.”

China implemented perhaps the most draconian measures in the world to fight COVID-19, deploying advanced tech to track each citizen’s every movement, lock people in their homes if exposed to the virus and shutting down entire cities at the first sign of a small outbreak. Numbers reported by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which are disputed by many experts, painted a picture of a massive country keeping spread of the virus to an impressively limited level. According to CCP data, the country averaged less than 200 cases per day from March 2020 all the way until February 2022.

Now, the country is being overwhelmed with outbreaks. Nearly one-third of the total cases in the country for the entirety of the pandemic occurred in March. March 19, CCP authorities reported the country’s first COVID-19 deaths since January 2021. Military reserves have been activated to prevent people from leaving cities or even buildings where outbreaks have been detected. Parts of Shanghai, China’s financial center, and its 26 million residents have been locked down.

Things have gotten so bad that the government which has prided itself on the “zero-COVID” strategy, which maintains that authorities can limit the virus to zero spread whatsoever with proper measures, has reportedly been reconsidering pursuing the goal of zero-COVID. The strategy has become untenable as the virus proves that spread is inevitable, no matter how hard a police state may lock down.

In Hong Kong, authorities are preparing to finally begin relaxing some restrictions after the city faced its worst wave of the pandemic in throughout March. From September 2021 to Feb. 8 2022, Hong Kong reported zero COVID-19 deaths, their total death count remaining stagnant at 213 since the pandemic began. Now, just two months later, the total death count in the city stands at 7,825. Ninety-seven percent of the city’s deaths occurred in a two-month span, two years into the pandemic and more than a year after vaccines became available.

Some experts have said South Korea had the best pandemic response in the world. Through strict surveillance and tracing tools, the country was able to pursue a zero-COVID strategy without resorting to the draconian lockdowns seen in many other places around the world. South Korea’s policies were highly invasive, with infected residents having their phone and credit card data tracked to retrace their movements, close contacts of the infected were required to isolate for two weeks with twice-a-day check-ins from government COVID-19 monitors, and individuals who got the virus were sent to government isolation facilities.

All of it appeared to be for naught in March 2022, with daily cases peaking at more than 621,000. The country’s death count more than doubled in March alone.”

  4. The China virus is decimating China again too, so the cover up there continues.

“Reports: China covering up deadly COVID outbreak at Shanghai elderly care hospital”

    https://hotair.com/allahpundit/2022/04/01/reports-china-covering-up-deadly-covid-outbreak-at-shanghai-elderly-care-hospital-n459467

“A predictable update to Monday’s post about one of the world’s biggest cities entering one of China’s toughest lockdowns since Wuhan 2020. “Shanghai’s modern streets have been transformed into a post-apocalyptic landscape,” CBS reported this morning, “with police checkpoints manned by workers in hazmat suits and residents barricaded into their homes.” They’re not exaggerating. Here’s what a city of 26 million people looks like when a totalitarian government gets serious about restrictions.”

    https://www.liveaction.org/news/infant-bodies-infanticide-attempted-abortions/

“Physician experts have told Live Action News that five aborted children in a D.C. apartment appear to have been viable human beings, raising questions about potential legal and serious ethical violations by the abortion clinic.

Dr. Robin Pierucci, a neonatal specialist, told Live Action News: “I can say with confidence that these babies died at an age when they were viable, premature people.” In her Friday morning comments, she noted that she was going to work in a NICU where she would “care for little ones this size and age.”

During a Thursday press conference, D.C. police quickly dismissed the possibility that the babies experienced illegal abortions but declined to comment further when asked by Live Action News. Although D.C. doesn’t ban late-term abortions, medical professionals are still bound by federal laws which restrict the method of abortion and require life-saving care for infants born after botched procedures.

Lifesaving care is something Dr. Cesare Santangelo, who operates the facility where the discarded babies were discovered, has already said repeatedly that he either doesn’t provide or avoids.

A pro-life activist voluntarily informed the D.C. homicide unit of the babies and surrendered them to authorities. Details are forthcoming but the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) group, to which this activist belongs, believes the “late gestational ages as well as their apparent sustained injuries potentially show violations of the Partial Birth Abortion Act as well as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” The group also announced that a funeral mass and naming ceremony was offered for the babies.”

  7. “LGBTQ+: Leftism’s corruption of God’s sacred gift to humankind”

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/04/lgbtq_leftisms_corruption_of_gods_sacred_gift_to_humankind.html

“The Florida legislature recently passed the “Parental Rights in Education Bill,” containing language forbidding open discussion, without parental permission, of matters of sexuality and homosexuality in public school early primary grade classrooms (K-3). Predictably, the action is applauded by parents and by Florida’s governor (who just signed it into law) and, just as predictably, panned by hair-on-fire leftists, who have dubbed the bill, “Don’t Say Gay!”

It has been accepted, since time immemorial, that parents responsibly defer “The Talk”—the family discussion of “the birds and the bees”—to when they surmise their maturing children have reached the day they can understand and accept the explanations given without being confused, even bewildered. Until that moment, the dominant parental motive is to shelter them in their innocence, a motive long shared alike by teachers.

Given that, leftists are hard put to produce an intellectually honest and convincing justification for why young children and their classroom leaders even should “Say Gay,” or participate in any other frank discussion of sexual matters. Concerns over whether they are being groomed at school are legitimate. Further, should it turn out that a third-grader or younger is already seemingly at ease with the subject—straight or deviant—suspicion likewise mounts of the child possibly groomed elsewhere.

In other news, one Lia Thomas, a twenty-two-year-old man masquerading as a woman, finished first in a freestyle swim race. This unsurprising result seems readily explained as deriving from Thomas’s masculine physique, easily outclassing the feminine physiques of the other competitors. The only thing actually surprising is that a substantial number of officials and observers see this outcome as the result of anything other than overt, deliberate fraud. Or maybe, in this current age of sexual confusion, it’s not so surprising anymore. Following traditional rules in our enlightened postmodern era is passé, and…well, we’re coming to that.

Then there is Rachel Levine, another man “transgendered” into a “woman,” holding titles of pediatrician, admiral, and assistant secretary for health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Levine masquerades with a virtuosity sufficiently convincing that the potentates running USA Today have named “her” to its “Women of the Year” list. One may wonder whether one of the requisite qualifications is for exhibiting audacious presumption. Levine is quoted as urging society, “…to be more compassionate and more accepting of girls and women, no matter what their size and shape.” Right. Presumably, such compassion should include girls shaped like boys, women shaped like men, and people with chromosomes shaped like “X-Y.”

Such subtleties are evidently lost on Joe Biden’s pick for the Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, currently a federal court judge, now nominated, in part, because she is (ahem!) a woman. However, in sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Judge Brown Jackson declared her inability to define “woman,” citing her lack of training in biology.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson had a field day with this stupefying remark, then handily segued to Lia, the aquatic pretend woman. “She” is the one whose “womanhood” is beyond question to the left’s addled True Believers, but in a way that leaves a federal judge struggling for discernment. The whole point of the “trans” movement, Carlson explains, is to force people to accept falsity as truth:

“That’s what they demand you say. Not because they care about Lia Thomas or any other trans person. They could care less. Making you pretend to believe something you don’t — that’s the point. Because if they can make you pretend to believe something you know is untrue, they’ve won. They control your brain.”

Truly, this is Orwellian, in the hideous 1984-ish realm, with 2 + 2 = 5. And you’d better believe it. Or 2 + 2 = something else, once The Masters have forced you to accept 5. Just wait until 2 + 2 = √(-1).

Many won’t know what that means, but failure to accept it absolutely will be condemned as felonious wrongthink. It’s postmodernism’s Theory of Relative Truth, wherein absolutes are supplanted by arbitrary dicta, changeable on a whim, by those self-appointed societal masters.

All we’ve touched so far is the “G” and “T” in the LGBTQ+ compendium. Rather than delving deeper, we’ll simply presume that the “+” represents a gateway into a vast fantasy world of invented genders, sexual orientations, disorientations, and whole new vistas of gobbledygook, endlessly unfolding. Facebook’s catalog of some 58 genders is but a prelude.”

  9. The Biden invasion of illegals is about to get worse.

“Biden opens the Title 42 gates – prepare for madness”

    https://nypost.com/2022/04/04/biden-opens-the-title-42-gates/

“As if the border crisis isn’t damaging enough, with 2.5 million illegal migrants having crossed into the United States since Joe Biden took office, now the administration is going to make it exponentially worse by unwinding the last Trump-era restriction.

The Title 42 policy, implemented by the Trump administration during the pandemic to allow border officials quickly to expel migrants on public health grounds, will be terminated next month, the CDC announced Friday.

Title 42 was the last tool border officials had left to stem the flow of illegal migration from more than 150 countries across the southern border. Now, they are anticipating a doubling or tripling of numbers to as many as 18,000 a day.

We know what that means. More secret migrant flights fanning out from the southern border to a town near you.

Already, charter flights to White Plains airport in Westchester have started again, after a hiatus following The Post’s report last October revealing migrant planes landing in the middle of the night several times a week, and unloading hundreds of migrants, claimed to be children, to be spirited away on buses to locations around New York and neighboring states.

A World Atlantic Airways plane thought to be bringing illegal migrants from El Paso, Texas, via Oklahoma City, Okla., landed at White Plains airport at 11:13 p.m. Sunday.

Unlike when The Post observed migrant flights last October, this plane was hidden on the far side of the tarmac, outside Ross Aviation East, after it landed so it was not possible to see passengers alighting.

But, as before, there were three charter buses, which met the plane and left around 12:20 a.m.

The buses traveled through White Plains, heading west on interstate 287 at 70 miles an hour before splitting up. Two headed south towards New York City and one headed north toward Albany.

Unlike last year, the planes that have been landing at White Plains the last few weeks have been arriving before the airport’s midnight curfew, and there are fewer each week. They are stopping en route, in cities like Houston, Texas, and Oklahoma City, as opposed to Jacksonville, Fla., where The Post observed them last year disgorging migrants

Publicly available flight data show World Atlantic Airways charter planes began landing again in White Plains in late February.

On February 25, March 11, March 19 and March 21, World Atlantic Airways flights from El Paso flew to White Plains via Houston, arriving between 7.59 p.m. and 9.21 p.m.

On March 4, and March 26 World Atlantic Airways planes flew from El Paso to White Plains via Oklahoma City, arriving at 9:25 p.m. and 9:33 p.m.

It is not known who was on board, but these are the same McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft with the same registration numbers which were chartered by the Department of Health and Human Services and were observed by The Post flying illegal migrant minors into White Plains last year.

It is not just White Plains. Migrant flights from the border are traveling all over the country, as the administration tries to manage the deluge at the border by spreading the problem far and wide, turning every state into a border state.

With the end of Title 42, already record numbers are set to explode.

Even moderate Democrats think the move is insane. Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Sens. Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona have condemned the plan to nix Title 42.

Manchin described it as “a frightening decision . . . Title 42 has been an essential tool in combatting the spread of COVID-19 and controlling the influx of migrants at our southern border.

“We are already facing an unprecedented increase in migrants this year, and that will only get worse if the Administration ends the Title 42 policy. We are nowhere near prepared to deal with that influx.””

  10. “Against Scientific Gatekeeping

Science should be a profession, not a priesthood.”

    https://reason.com/2022/04/03/against-scientific-gatekeeping/

“In March 2020, the iconoclastic French microbiologist Didier Raoult announced that the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine had cured all 36 COVID-19 patients enrolled in his clinical trial. Many of Raoult’s colleagues rejected his conclusions, arguing that the trial was too small and noting that it was not randomized and controlled. But as the deadly coronavirus spread rapidly throughout the world and governments responded with draconian lockdowns, public attention was quickly drawn to the chance that a common and inexpensive drug might rid the world of the danger.

President Donald Trump promoted hydroxychloroquine as a “game changer,” which raised the ire of many medical and public health experts. Without randomized controlled trials, they complained, it was irresponsible to prescribe the drug for infected patients. Under pressure from Trump, other Republican politicians, and conservative pundits, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) nevertheless issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for adding hydroxychloroquine to the strategic national stockpile of COVID-19 treatments.

After numerous randomized controlled trials failed to demonstrate the drug’s effectiveness, the FDA revoked the EUA, leaving the national stockpile with 63 million unused doses of hydroxychloroquine. Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, had purchased 1 million doses for the state’s stockpile, which likewise remained unused.

There is a difference, however, between the claim that a drug has been proven not helpful and the weaker claim that it has not been proven helpful. Despite the failure to validate Raoult’s claims, many Americans believed that hydroxychloroquine’s potential benefits outweighed its minimal risks. Exercising their right to self-medicate, some people infected by the coronavirus continued to take the drug.

The hydroxychloroquine brouhaha illustrates the roiling conflict between the scientific establishment and its uncredentialed challengers. Because the internet has democratized science, the academy no longer has a monopoly on specialized information. Based on their own assessments of that information, lay people can chime in and may even end up driving the scientific narrative, for good or ill.

Meanwhile, the internet is developing its own would-be gatekeepers. Those who oversee the major social media platforms can filter information and discourse on their platforms. Pleasing the priesthood enhances their credibility with elites and might protect them from criticism and calls for regulatory intervention, but they risk being captured in the process.

Challenges to the priesthoods that claim to represent the “scientific consensus” have made them increasingly intolerant of new ideas. But academic scientists must come to terms with the fact that search engines and the digitization of scientific literature have forever eroded their authority as gatekeepers of knowledge, a development that presents opportunities as well as dangers.

    Experts, Yes; Priesthoods, No

Most people prefer experts, of course, especially when it comes to health care. As a surgeon myself, I can hardly object to that tendency. But a problem arises when some of those experts exert outsized influence over the opinions of other experts and thereby establish an orthodoxy enforced by a priesthood. If anyone, expert or otherwise, questions the orthodoxy, they commit heresy. The result is groupthink, which undermines the scientific process.

The COVID-19 pandemic provided many examples. Most medical scientists, for instance, uncritically accepted the epidemiological pronouncements of government-affiliated physicians who were not epidemiologists. At the same time, they dismissed epidemiologists as “fringe” when those specialists dared to question the conventional wisdom.

Or consider the criticism that rained down on Emily Oster, a Brown University economist with extensive experience in data analysis and statistics. Many dismissed her findings—that children had a low risk of catching or spreading the virus, an even lower risk of getting seriously ill, and should be allowed to normally socialize during the pandemic—because she wasn’t an epidemiologist. Ironically, one of her most vocal critics was Sarah Bowen, a sociologist, not an epidemiologist.

The deference to government-endorsed positions is probably related to funding. While “the free university” is “historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery,” President Dwight Eisenhower observed in his farewell address, “a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity.” He also warned that “we should be alert to the…danger that public policy could itself become captive of a scientific technological elite.” Today we face both problems.”
