Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 38

A psalm of David. A petition.

1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
    or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Your arrows have pierced me,
    and your hand has come down on me.
3 Because of your wrath there is no health in my body;
    there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin.
4 My guilt has overwhelmed me
    like a burden too heavy to bear.

5 My wounds fester and are loathsome
    because of my sinful folly.
6 I am bowed down and brought very low;
    all day long I go about mourning.
7 My back is filled with searing pain;
    there is no health in my body.
8 I am feeble and utterly crushed;
    I groan in anguish of heart.

9 All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
    my sighing is not hidden from you.
10 My heart pounds, my strength fails me;
    even the light has gone from my eyes.
11 My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds;
    my neighbors stay far away.
12 Those who want to kill me set their traps,
    those who would harm me talk of my ruin;
    all day long they scheme and lie.

13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear,
    like the mute, who cannot speak;
14 I have become like one who does not hear,
    whose mouth can offer no reply.
15 Lord, I wait for you;
    you will answer, Lord my God.
16 For I said, “Do not let them gloat
    or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”

17 For I am about to fall,
    and my pain is ever with me.
18 I confess my iniquity;
    I am troubled by my sin.
19 Many have become my enemies without cause;
    those who hate me without reason are numerous.
20 Those who repay my good with evil
    lodge accusations against me,
    though I seek only to do what is good.

21 Lord, do not forsake me;
    do not be far from me, my God.
22 Come quickly to help me,
    my Lord and my Savior.

  3. Our teams in Ukraine and neighboring countries are very busy with transporting, providing goods and serving refugees from Ukraine in these days. Tomorrow I will drive up to southern Poland to pick up a mother and her five children, and take them to one of the Russian-speaking churches in Prague. Please pray for good connections and a safe journey.

  5. The other day I asked for prayer for a recurring issue I was seeing the doctor for, a UTI. This was the second one since June 2021.

    They took a sample for some tests. I was given an antibiotic, told to drink more water, which I’m doing, over a gallon a day, which is the recommendation for someone my size and weight. Things improved over the weekend, no more blood and “debris”, nice clear urine.

    But I finished the antibiotic Sunday night, and now today, issues again, but not as bad as it was. The doctor called this morning, there was an infection, but no sign of cancer which was one of the things they checked. The doctor has decided I need to see a urologist, so now I’m waiting for them to call with the appointment.

    Needless to say, I’m pretty freaked out. So if you wouldn’t mind, I could really use some prayer. For the issue, and my mental state. I tend to get agitated when stuff like this comes along, and that’s not really helpful, but it is where I’m at.

  8. Praying — Tychicus, thank you for being there, where God has you, in these times. AJ, praying for an easy “fix” with no other complications. Going to “specialists” freaks most of us out.

    And, of course, Chas and family.

    And the world right now, we’re in a mess, Lord. But you know all about that, of course, and the chaos we see is all within in your providential care. But we pray for a quick end to the violence and safety for those — so many — in harm’s way. Thank you for helpers like Tychicus and other believers in that part of the world who are stepping up to do what they can in their particular corners.

  9. And prayers for all the world leaders right now, including our own president, who continue to mobilize and strategize to provide real-time assistance for Ukraine as the situation continues to grow more dire.

  11. Continuing to lift Chas in prayer before our Lord….isn’t is comforting to know our Lord is carefully watching over our dear brother and his family….the hope of glory….
    Praying for protection and direction as you care for these refugees Tychicus…and trusting the Lord to go before you clearing the way….
    Aj lifting your concerns before Him…it can be unsettling being referred to a specialist with the unknowing …. We are there and continue to wait for results….we trust beside you knowing full well none of this journey escapes the eye and knowing of our dear Heavenly Father….placing all hope and trust in Him asking Him to bring peace that passes all understanding and healing ♥️

  14. Heavy weight lifting up to the throne room today. God is aware of all. May each mentioned in their various individual needs feel the presence of God working goodness and/or healing into what all they are going through. May all the prayers draw You, God closer to those in need so they draw closer to You. May Your love surround each with comfort and a sense of Your peace that is not fickle. May those feeling unsteady regain a sense of You being the firm foundation from which they can not be shaken. May not one be given over to the thoughts
    the evil one wants to plant to stir up fear and anxiety. Please Lord, keep all steady with their minds stayed on You. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  15. AJ, it almost sounds like the silent kidney stones Art gets. Blood in the urine is the main symptom. Infection can be caused by stones. Sometimes apple cider vinegar can help with stones if that should be the source.

  16. ‘Silent’ stones is my term for them because they cause no pain just sitting in the kidney. ‘Loud’ ones I would name that because they are painful like childbirth in the passing and cause a crying out.

  21. Praying for W, Kare. And for peace of mind for parents and grandparents.

    Follow-up report: My student H’s sister L, for whom I requested prayer last week, has been released after a one-week hospitalization and returns to school tomorrow. Thank you for praying. Their family is relieved.

  23. It is hard when the little ones have it. Kind of more scary until things get sorted out with treatments available in the home. And then it is just scary.
