“Southwest Airlines Pilot Reportedly Says “Let’s Go Brandon” Over Intercom, Left Immediately Melts Down

“We’re heading east at about 107 or 108 mph,” the pilot reportedly said. “Clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees. Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and let’s go Brandon.””

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/10/southwest-airline-pilot-reportedly-says-lets-go-brandon-over-intercom-left-immediately-melts-down/

“The Democrat propagandist media is pretending to have just discovered “Let’s Go Brandon.” After ignoring its earlier incarnation, week after week, then ignoring the sports announcer who either intentionally or accidentally coined the term “Let’s Go Brandon!” after a crowd cheered “F*ck Joe Biden” at NASCAR, there are articles popping up across the legacy media explaining what the term means.

Some of them are completely ridiculous (like this one from the AP that took six “journalists” to figure out what a two second search would tell just one) and some do try to explain it without acting like they just heard it for the first time this week. Note, they all magically decided that “vulgar” was the word to use to describe the original. Never mind Biden’s infamous “potty mouth” or his wife’s equally “vulgar” suggestion that Kamala Harris “go @#$%” herself.”

“Terry McAuliffe Lies His Way Through Sunday’s ‘Meet the Press’ Interview”

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2021/10/31/terry-mcauliffe-lies-his-way-through-sundays-meet-the-press-interview-n2598328

    “Update:

Terry McAuliffe did not merely lie about education during Sunday’s interview on “Meet the Press.” McAuliffe’s Republican opponent, Glenn Youngkin, released a list of 15 lies that the Democrat told, also to do with the pandemic, vaccines, and book banning.

    Original:

On Sunday’s edition of “Meet the Press,” two days before Election Day in Virginia, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe was not entirely truthful in his interview, especially when it comes to education.

In one of his first answers, McAuliffe talked up the “great school system in Virginia,” going on to say that he and his wife, Dorothy, “have raised our five children.” For how “great” he considers it to be, though, it turns out that McAuliffe put four of his five children through private school.

Spencer exposed last month that Dorothy McAuliffe was the chair of the board of trustees for their children’s private school. As he wrote:

The McAuliffes, it turns out, sent their children to the private Potomac School in McLean, Virginia, outside of Washington, D.C., and the candidate’s wife Dorothy McAuliffe served as chair of the board of trustees for the school while their children were students.

An annual report published by the Potomac School in 2008 and obtained by Townhall includes a letter from trustee board chair Dorothy McAuliffe and later lists the family as having students in second grade, seventh grade, and tenth grade.

Current tuition at the Potomac School runs from $39,150 for kindergarten through third grade to $45,650 for ninth through twelfth grade. While there’s nothing wrong with a family pursuing the best possible education for their children, it does become problematic when a member of that family runs on a record of vetoing school choice bills and a platform of denying parents the right to influence the education given to their children. That’s exactly what Terry and Dorothy McAuliffe have done.

McAuliffe not only doubled down on the shocking admission made during the second debate last month, that “I don’t think that parents should be telling schools what they should teach”, but also when it comes to a series of bills he vetoed to do with education.

As Elizabeth Tyree wrote for local news outlet WSET in March 2017, McAuliffe vetoed six bills on education.

One of them was House Bill 2191, which would require schools to notify parents if their child is enrolled in a course in which the instructional materials or related academic activities include sexually explicit content or the potential for sexually explicit content. It would also have required teachers to provide alternative instructional materials if requested by a parent. ”

“Terry McAuliffe Claims Critical Race Theory Not Taught in Virginia Public Schools, But Here’s The Proof

“Terry McAuliffe’s closing argument is that critical race theory is a ‘racist dog whistle’ that has ‘never been taught in Virginia.’ But I can debunk this lie—and prove that McAuliffe himself was the first Virginia governor to promote CRT,” Chris Rufo tweeted before proceeding to do just that.”

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/10/terry-mcauliffe-claims-critical-race-theory-not-taught-in-virginia-public-schools-but-heres-the-proof/

“We are just a couple of days away from the Virginia gubernatorial election. With numerous recent polls showing a noticeable swing in support among likely voters from Democrat nominee Terry McAuliffe to Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin and a significant shift among education voters towards Youngkin in the closing days, all stops are being pulled as the desperation sets in for McAuliffe.

A persistent campaign theme for McAuliffe has been to accuse Youngkin and his supporters of engaging in “racist dog-whistling” over the issue of Critical Race Theory being implemented in public school classrooms in the state. Further, McAuliffe has routinely claimed that it is not taught in the state.

The number of times McAuliffe has fallen back on the “racist dog whistle” accusation and “it’s not taught here” claim is too high to count, but here’s one example. Watch below as McAuliffe tells far-left conspiracy theorist Joy Reid that Youngkin and his supporters were racists and making up stuff — and then in the next breath claim to be a uniter:”

“NLPC FILES FEC COMPLAINT AGAINST TERRY MCAULIFFE FOR ACCEPTING $350,000 IN ILLEGAL FOREIGN CONTRIBUTIONS”

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nlpc-files-fec-complaint-against-131500818.html

“The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against Terry McAuliffe and his campaign for accepting $350,000 from Lyca Tel LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of a UK holding company, owned, and controlled by Sri Lankan-born British national Allirajah Subaskaran.

The complaint also names Lyca Tel and Subaskaran as respondents.

LycaTel, a discount calling card provider, boasts a complicated web of offshore businesses and has been the subject of tax-fraud and money-laundering allegations overseas. The contribution is one of the largest received by McAuliffe’s gubernatorial campaign this election cycle.

Federal law prohibits campaign contributions from a foreign national or foreign company to federal, state, and local elections. The contributions were made in July 2021.

“The FEC should thoroughly investigate NLPC’s complaint and issue subpoenas to Terry McAuliffe and Lycal Tel and demand that he return of the contribution,” said Paul Kamenar, NLPC’s counsel who drafted and filed the complaint.

“This is not the first time McAuliffe was charged with accepting foreign donations,” said Peter Flaherty, NLPC Chairman. “The FBI in 2016 reportedly opened an investigation into a $120,000 donation McAuliffe received in his prior campaign from a company owned by Wang Wenliang, a Chinese citizen and U.S. green card holder who served as a delegate to China’s parliament.””

I&I/TIPP Poll: Just 42% Now Think Biden Is ‘Mentally Sharp’

“Concerns about President Joe Biden’s mental abilities have gone mainstream.

Although the press has largely overlooked Biden’s gaffes, his disastrous performance at a decidedly friendly CNN townhall prompted the Wall Street Journal to editorialize that Biden’s “frequent public confusion about the major issues of the day is a reason for the growing public concern.”

Even the notoriously partisan “Saturday Night Live” has started to use Biden’s mental acuity as a punchline. One of the show’s characters has quipped about how “insiders are also saying that, during meetings, President Biden repeatedly uses the f-word in conversation. More concerning, the f-word he keeps using is ‘forget.’”

Biden’s critics have long pointed to increased verbal gaffes, along with his advanced age (he turns 79 later this month) as problems. But the mainstream press has largely ignored signs of mental decline.

The latest I&I/TIPP poll shows that, despite this, the perception of Biden’s cognitive descent has become widespread.

The poll tried to gauge the public’s perceptions of Biden on several measures, including mental abilities, by asking a random sampling of adults to “indicate your level of agreement or disagreement with the following descriptions of President Joe Biden.” Among the choices given were “mentally sharp,” “energetic,” and “a good communicator.”

The results are not good for Biden.

Just 42% of those polled say they think the president is “mentally sharp,” and 42% say he’s “energetic.” (Half those polled say he isn’t mentally sharp or energetic.) “

    https://americanmind.org/salvo/operation-marriage-material/

“Why can’t young men find suitable brides?

You know why. Fifty years of feminism has had its way with two generations of American women, with predictable results. Throw in the eager pharmaceutical market, social celebration of “sex work,” the pornification of entertainment, successful destruction of “devoted wife” and “loving mother” as attractive careers for girls, and finally, the dismantling of “human female” as a real and separate gender—and well, here we are.

But someone’s got to keep American civilization from dying out! We can’t import our way out of this. And we don’t want to, do we folks? We need more weddings and babies, and we need them fast.

Young women of America: it is time for you to step up and do your duty.

Fortunately, there are many eligible young men who have ducked and dodged the incoming cultural shrapnel that has stripped so many others of their agency and masculinity and their confidence and even their gonads. These brave souls made it to adulthood with their appendages attached and sanity intact.

Now they are in want of a wife. But that’s the problem: “wife.” What’s that? Most girls are no longer raised to be wives. Not since Target started selling Girls Rule t-shirts for toddlers, at least. “How to be a wife” is now an archaic skill set one must seek out on trad-minded blogs.

“How to be a wife” is not something anyone really ever even thinks about, until it’s too late.

But girls, before you learn those important butter churning skills, there is something you need to do first if you wish to be married before your oocytes retire and move to Florida.

    You must become marriageable.

How does one become marriageable? You know, what we used to call “normal.” Today, girls are taught that being a woman means you can do anything —and anyone—you want.

What makes a woman marriageable? The things that have always made her marriageable. You are someone who has never doubted her gender, is glad to be female, wants a monogamous relationship with a man who also has never doubted his gender, and has no extreme body modifications. You are open to having children, you reject synthetic birth control and SSRI mood modification pills. You don’t have drug or alcohol issues. You come with very little baggage of self-inflicted “trauma.” This is not to say you can’t have experienced misfortune—tragedy makes us human. But you don’t fetishize your trauma as a disability and make TikToks about it for clout. And crucially: your past is not a gruesome self-inflicted minefield of abortions, psychological breaks, and estrangement from your parents.

Do such elusive unicorn females exist? They do! In much larger numbers than you would ever dream! All a guy has to do is drag a diamond engagement ring through the closest colony of Mennonites.

Just kidding. Nice girls are out there. If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of them. And if you are a former nice girl who lost her way, you are not alone! There’s still hope for you. All you have to do is clean up your act. I will help you. It worked for me! That’s right: some wives are born, but some are made. Made a few mistakes in college? Experienced at least one Vegas bachelorette party?

    We can rebuild you.”

  9. “The January 6 Insurrection Hoax”

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2021/10/31/the_january_6_insurrection_hoax_146663.html

“Notwithstanding all the hysterical rhetoric surrounding the events of January 6, 2021, two critical things stand out. The first is that what happened was much more hoax than insurrection. In fact, in my judgment, it wasn’t an insurrection at all.

An “insurrection,” as the dictionary will tell you, is a violent uprising against a government or other established authority. Unlike the violent riots that swept the country in the summer of 2020—riots that caused some $2 billion in property damage and claimed more than 20 lives—the January 6 protest at the Capitol lasted a few hours, caused minimal damage, and the only person directly killed was an unarmed female Trump supporter who was shot by a Capitol Hill Police officer. It was, as Tucker Carlson said shortly after the event, a political protest that “got out of hand.”

At the rally preceding the events in question, Donald Trump had suggested that people march to the Capitol “peacefully and patriotically”—these were his exact words—in order to make their voices heard. He did not incite a riot; he stirred up a crowd. Was that, given the circumstances, imprudent? Probably. Was it an effort to overthrow the government? Hardly.

I know this is not the narrative that we have all been instructed to parrot. Indeed, to listen to the establishment media and our political masters, the January 6 protest was a dire threat to the very fabric of our nation: the worst assault on “our democracy” since 9/11, since Pearl Harbor, since the Civil War! (Really: Joe Biden said last April that the January 6 protest at the Capitol was “the worst attack attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”)

Note that phrase “our democracy”: Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and various talking heads have repeated it ad nauseam. But you do not need an advanced degree in hermeneutics to understand that what they mean by “our democracy” is their oligarchy. Similarly, when Nancy Pelosi talks about “the people’s house,” she doesn’t mean a house that welcomes riff-raff like you and me.

I just alluded to Ashli Babbitt, the unarmed supporter of Donald Trump who was shot and killed on January 6. Her fate brings me to the second critical thing to understand about the January 6 insurrection hoax. Namely, that it was not a stand-alone event.

On the contrary, what happened that afternoon, and what happened afterwards, is only intelligible when seen as a chapter in the long-running effort to discredit and, ultimately, to dispose of Donald Trump—as well as what Hillary Clinton might call the “deplorable” populist sentiment that brought Trump to power.

In other words, to understand the January 6 insurrection hoax, you also have to understand that other long-running hoax, the Russia collusion hoax. The story of that hoax begins back in 2015, when the resources of the federal government were first mobilized to spy on the Trump campaign, to frame various people close to Trump, and eventually to launch a full-throated criminal investigation of the Trump administration.

From before Trump took office, the Russia collusion hoax was used as a pretext to create a parallel administration shadowing the elected administration. Remember the Steele Dossier, the fantastical document confected by the “well-regarded” British spy Christopher Steele? We know now that it was the only relevant predicate for ordering FISA warrants to spy on Carter Page and other American citizens.

But in truth, the Steele Dossier was just opposition dirt covertly paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign. From beginning to end, it was a tissue of lies and fabrications. Everyone involved knew all along it was garbage—rumors and fantasies fed to a gullible Steele by shady Russian sources. But it was nonetheless used to deploy, illegally, the awesome coercive power of the state against a presidential candidate of whom the ruling bureaucracy and their favored candidate disapproved.

The public learned that the Democratic National Committee paid for the manufactured evidence only because of a court order. James Comey, the disgraced former director of the FBI, publicly denied knowing who paid for it, but emails from a year earlier prove that he knew all along. And what was the penalty for lying in Comey’s case? He got a huge book deal and toured the country denouncing Trump to the gleeful satisfaction of his anti-Trump audiences.

What was true of Comey was also true of the entire intelligence apparat, from former CIA Director John Brennan to Adam Schiff and other Democratic members of the House Intelligence Committee to senior members of the FBI. All these people said publicly that they had seen clear evidence of collusion with Russia. But they admitted under oath behind closed doors that they hadn’t.

General Mike Flynn had his career ruined and was bankrupted as part of a political vendetta. Meanwhile James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, John Brennan, Peter Strzok, and all the rest of the crew at the FBI, the CIA, and other intel agencies suffered nothing. When it came to light that an FBI lawyer altered an email in order to help get a FISA warrant—in other words, that he doctored evidence to spy on a political opponent, which is a felony—he got probation. Andrew McCabe, meanwhile, a former FBI deputy director, just got his pension restored notwithstanding the fact that an Inspector General’s report concluded that he lied multiple times under oath.

The recent news that Special Counsel John Durham has indicted Michael Sussman, a lawyer who covertly worked for the Clinton campaign and lied to the FBI, is welcome news. Granted, it is too early to say where Durham’s investigation will ultimately go, but Sussman’s indictment seems like small beer given the rampant higher-level corruption that saturated the Russia Collusion hoax.

At least 74 million citizens voted for Donald Trump in 2020, which is at least 11 million more than voted for him in 2016. Many of those voters are profoundly disillusioned and increasingly angry about this entire story—the years-long Robert Mueller “investigation,” the two impeachments of President Trump, the cloud of unknowing that surrounds the 2020 election, and the many questions that have emerged not only from the January 6 protest at the Capitol but, even more, from the government’s response to that protest.

Which brings me back to Ashli Babbitt, the long-serving Air Force vet who was shot and killed by a nervous Capitol Hill Police officer. Babbitt was a useful prop when the media was in overdrive describing the January 6 events as an “armed insurrection” in which wild supporters of Donald Trump, supposedly at his instigation, attacked the Capitol with the intention of overturning the 2020 election.

According to that narrative, five people, including Babbitt, died in the skirmish. Moreover, it was said, Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick was bludgeoned to death by a raging Trump supporter wielding a fire extinguisher. That gem of a story about the fire extinguisher, reported in our former paper of record, The New York Times, was instantly picked up by other media outlets and spread like a Chinese virus.

Of course, it is absolutely critical to the Democratic Party narrative that the January 6 incident be made to seem as violent and crazed as possible. Hence the crazed comparisons to 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and the Civil War. Only thus can pro-Trump Americans be excluded from “our democracy” by being branded as “domestic extremists” if not, indeed, “domestic terrorists.”

The Sixth Amendment of the Constitution accords American citizens the right to a speedy trial. But most of the political prisoners of January 6—many of whom have been kept in solitary confinement—are still waiting to be brought to trial. And although the media was full of predictions that they would be found guilty of criminal sedition, none has.

Indeed, the prosecution’s cases seem to be falling apart. Most of the hundreds who have been arrested are being charged with trespassing. Another charge being leveled against them is “disrupting an official proceeding.” This is a felony charge designed not for ceremonial procedures like the January 6 certification of the vote, but rather for disrupting Congressional inquiries—for example, by shredding documents relevant to a Congressional investigation. It originated during the George W. Bush administration to deal with the Enron case.

The indisputable fact about January 6 is that although five people died at or near the Capitol on that day or soon thereafter, none of these deaths was brought about by the protesters. The shot fired Capitol Police Officer Michael Byrd that hit Ashli Babbitt in the neck and killed her was the only shot fired at the Capitol that day. No guns were recovered from the Capitol on January 6. Zero.”

~”The debate around critical race theory (CRT) can feel exceptionally stupid, reflexive, and marked by bad faith, even by the low standards of our era. Prominent Democrats have excused an assault on the liberal order and the embrace of racial reductionism, while too many Trumpy Republicans have responded to charges of racism and intolerance by seemingly doing their best to prove them true. The performative back and forth, aggravated by uncertainty as to just what CRT entails, can fuel a sense of “a plague on both your houses.” But that response, while understandable, is neither principled nor politic. In fact, this clash, seen rightly, is a huge opportunity for a serious conservatism.”~
