At the Denver Center for Performing Arts last night a friend of mine went to watch her daughter perform in Giselle..a ballet. Friend is not vaccinated. She was stamped with a dark star on her wrist to indicate she was “unvaccinated”! Those who were vaccinated were given a wrist band. I don’t know why this unsettles me so much but it does…. 😢
Another mutual friend of the friend mentioned above was clearly alarmed at the stamping of a star on the inner wrist of our friend (truly this star looks like a tattoo…she sent a photo of it to us!) This mutual friend was a guide in Egypt for several years after college. She remembered a dear man she met during that time who had a tattoo on his inner wrist…it was numbers…because he was a Jew…in a camp….in Germany…as a child. 😳
It was mentioned today at lunch with the couple from church that the husband was friends with two ER doctors at a local hospital. They told him that it wasn’t that they had a shortage of beds at the hospitals but a shortage of medical professionals to take care of patients…not too many patients…too few medical professionals….the news is not telling us that….they just say it’s because of Covid…end of story…..
