Prayer Requests 9-29-21

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 54

Save me, O God, by your name;
    vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God;
    listen to the words of my mouth.

Arrogant foes are attacking me;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me—
    people without regard for God.

Surely God is my help;
    the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
    in your faithfulness destroy them.

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
    I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
You have delivered me from all my troubles,
    and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

  1. Update on my young friend Isaac who had the brain bleed over the weekend and an MRI yesterday.

    His grandmother had posted yesterday afternoon that he was headed into surgery for an aneurysm, but her post last night mentioned only an angiogram, so I’m not sure what happened.

    The angiography is now behind Isaac. Though the surgeon did not find anything to “repair”, the process of exploring the vessels was very thorough. Your prayers will continue to sustain Isaac and his family as they adjust to the recovery path ahead of him.

  2. Prayer for husband. After much searching, he finally found a car that met his specifications. Good gas use, comfortable, holds enough people, not too old, not too costly. But in the two weeks he has had it, it has not started four times. Yesterday, he was out in a downpour trying to get it to start for his trip to Boise. In Boise, it would not start to get him to his infusion. And so it goes.
    We have purchased new vehicles before that have been fine and some that have been lemons from the start. We have purchased used with the same results. Our twelve passenger van, a used commuter van fourteen years ago is running fine. But not good gas mileage or great comfort. It makes a good camping van. Or when we have lots of people to carry.

  3. My neck is still not doing well, and my range of movement is less than it was yesterday.

    What finally occurred to me is that a couple nights ago, I had a cramp in my neck while trying to rearrange my pillow (and had lifted my head up), but was not able to undo the cramp quickly enough. Why the delayed reaction, I don’t know.

    I have a few leftover muscle relaxers from a pervious prescription, so I think I will take one tonight to see if that will help. More prayers appreciated, though.

  4. This morning’s update on Isaac from his grandma:
    Our grandson Isaac is resting and recovering from yesterday’s procedure. Since no aneurysm was located yesterday, the future plan includes more testing and monitoring. Jess is at the hospital. Adam is working from home. Communications between patient, parents, doctors and staff is excellent. And life moves forward for us all… one. baby. step. at. a. time.
