Prayer Requests 4-12-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 59

Deliver me from my enemies, O God;
    be my fortress against those who are attacking me.
Deliver me from evildoers
    and save me from those who are after my blood.

See how they lie in wait for me!
    Fierce men conspire against me
    for no offense or sin of mine, Lord.
I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me.
    Arise to help me; look on my plight!
You, Lord God Almighty,
    you who are the God of Israel,
   rouse yourself to punish all the nations;
    show no mercy to wicked traitors.

They return at evening,
    snarling like dogs,
    and prowl about the city.
See what they spew from their mouths—
    the words from their lips are sharp as swords,
    and they think, “Who can hear us?”
But you laugh at them, Lord;
    you scoff at all those nations.

You are my strength, I watch for you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
10  my God on whom I can rely.

   God will go before me
    and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
11 But do not kill them, Lord our shield,
    or my people will forget.
   In your might uproot them
    and bring them down.
12 For the sins of their mouths,
    for the words of their lips,
    let them be caught in their pride.
   For the curses and lies they utter,
13  consume them in your wrath,
    consume them till they are no more.
   Then it will be known to the ends of the earth
    that God rules over Jacob.

14 They return at evening,
    snarling like dogs,
    and prowl about the city.
15 They wander about for food
    and howl if not satisfied.
16 But I will sing of your strength,
    in the morning I will sing of your love;
   for you are my fortress,
    my refuge in times of trouble.

17 You are my strength, I sing praise to you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
    my God on whom I can rely.

  1. A couple of weeks ago, I asked you to pray for Second. Keep on praying. She is expecting again, but not having an easy time (she is nearly 40), and of course the memory of her previous loss is causing anxiety for this one.

    Youngest is also expecting again. This will be number 6.

    I had a hard time with recovery the past couple of days. Feeling a bit better today, but thinking the road may be longer than I hoped.

  2. Prayers for you and yours, Roscuro.

    Please pray a hedge of protection around my three nieces and their families who live and work in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area, with all the civil unrest erupting again.

    For A, wife and mother to two young children.

    For L, wife and young mother pregnant with her third child, who is also a business owner.

    For R, single woman and only child of my widowed sister.

    Thank you.

  3. And I could use prayer this week, looking at a long list of things to cover while my editor wants me now to tackle a comprehensive piece on the plight of independent port truck drivers. I’m tired, feeing burnout periods more often.

  4. Please pray for my Husband. He’s been in the hospital for several days. His oxygen numbers haven’t stabilized. The dr said he’s using twice as much now as he was when he first came. I just talked to him and he’s no longer confident he’ll leave the hospital. I’m getting scarred for him.

  5. Heavenly Father, I lift up this very serious situation that Debra’s husband is in. Please, Lord, give him a quick turnaround. I ask for You to supernaturally empower his body to function at a greater capacity so he can regain his strength and feel much better than he has been feeling. Please help Debra to remain steady in her faith and trust in You. May she cast every care upon You for You care for her. May she feel lifted by the power of prayer to feel herself in the higher realm with You where nothing can touch her because You are helping her through this difficult time. Please, Lord, give her husband recovery much faster than expected. I pray You will guide the doctors as they prescribe meds and determine procedures to result in the best outcome. I pray Debra will get the help and support she needs to allow her to get needed rest and to have nourishing food. Please help her to feel better from all she has been through herself. Thank You for hearing all our prayers and for being a sure help in this troubling time for Debra, her husband, the medical staff, and all affected by this critical medical situation. Praising You, Abba, for releasing Your healing power over Debra’s husband right now. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
