  1. Thanks for that post! Isn’t it interesting all that the mainstream news can cover is the White House dogs and that sweet relationship between the new president and his wife? It is going to be a long four years if this is allowed to continue. But I have a sick feeling that creepy lady standing at attention behind him with the black mask on is going to be stepping in to the top spot soon.. 😳

  2. Already a disaster.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/01/joe-bidens-presidency-is-already-worse-than-imagined/

“Joe Biden’s Presidency is Already Worse Than Imagined

“On policy, it’s Obama 2.0 but more woke and on free expression it’s more like East Germany than the United States.”

“Joe Biden has been president for a little over two weeks, and it already feels like six months. I knew that when Democrats and the media kept claiming that Biden would return to normalcy, it was a lie, but I didn’t realize how bad it would be.

It’s a disaster on multiple levels.

Two nights ago, I tweeted this, and it quickly got over 3,000 likes and 1,000 shares:”

“That inspired me to expand on my thoughts:

I’m 50 years old. For the first time in my life, I see children turning their parents into the government for wrongthink. People I knew who were fun in college are now angry scolds who detest America for existing on ‘stolen’ land. The FBI is arresting people for making memes.

    — Mike LaChance (@MikeLaChance33) January 28, 2021

Churches in my state fly BLM banners on their buildings, because that’s the new religion and heretics are unpersoned. Every late night show on TV mocks people who love America and venerates the radical left.

    — Mike LaChance (@MikeLaChance33) January 28, 2021

Government punishes small business owners and job creators with lock downs while sending our tax dollars overseas to help other countries, some of which hate us.”

    —-

“Executive orders, which the left called evidence of Trump’s authoritarianism, are now being signed by Biden in record numbers.

Biden has signed at least 42 executive actions in 8 days:
    -Jobs/econ(4)
    -COVID(14), travel(1)
    -census, ethics, regulations
    -immigration(5)
    -Undo transgender military ban
    -American made
    -equity, fair housing(6)
    -private prisons
    -climate change(5)
    -ACA healthcare
    -abortion rights

    — Bo Erickson CBS (@BoKnowsNews) January 28, 2021

Biden is simultaneously destroying jobs and America’s energy independence. He is furthering the left’s mission to replace education with progressive indoctrination. He is putting the transgender agenda ahead of women and girls. Contrary to everything we were told, he has no real plan for the pandemic.

The FBI just arrested a guy who made political memes in 2016. Democrats and people in liberal media have gone beyond cancel culture and are now openly campaigning for political dissent criminalization.

This is all happening at the hands of people who spent four years calling Trump a fascist.

It’s going to be a long four years, folks.”

  3. Wondering why someone would be arrested for making memes, I looked into it. This is why:

“The document cited a meme Mackey is accused of posting on Nov. 1, 2016, featuring a Black woman standing in front of an “African Americans for Hillary” sign. The instructions in the meme stated, “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text (Hillary) to 59925. Vote for (Hillary) and be a part of history.” . . .

As a result of Mackey’s disinformation campaign, federal officials say, atleast 4,900 unique phone numbers sent text messages in a futile effort to vote for Clinton, according to the complaint.”

  4. Oh gosh how much “disinformation” was spewed by MSM during the election? And those almost 5000 who voted via the fake number pales to the number of fake votes cast in this election. (Who blindly hits a number to vote without researching if it is real?) Thanks for posting that Kizzie because I hadn’t seen that report…good to know even though I see it as so lame of an excuse to arrest someone and imprison them for 10 years!
That is indeed a chilling view of Washington…and they get away with it…. 😢

  5. Kizzie,

But you left out the part where Dems did the same thing and they’re still up on Twitter and the feds did nothing.

Stop falling for this trash. Every election someone tries to be cute and funny by saying election day has changed for one party or the other. I’ve seen it on Facebook too. This is nothing new, but now it’s suddenly criminal.

Perhaps if you are too stupid to know presidential elections are always the first Tuesday of Nov. in the election year, you shouldn’t be voting anyway. You may be too gullible to live a normal life if you fell for this..

  6. Where are all those guardsmen staying anyway? Are they still sleeping in the parking garage or is President Trump putting them up in his hotel? I can scarcely believe my eyes when I see the the photos of DC….and then I wonder what must be going through the minds of those young men “guarding” the new administration… 😢

  7. I read an article in the paper today on a local Guardsman tasked with the inauguration. He pointed out that they were there to defend the Constitution, not a political party. So, though it pained them as people to see Biden put in, they were there for other reasons. He also said the parking garage was not that big of a deal as they were used to deploying out in the weather. Having flush toilets (not very many but still, flush) was a step up. They were out of the wind and rain and it was fine.

  8. AJ – I wasn’t “falling for” anything. I had seen references to a man being arrested for posting memes, and wondered why. So I looked it up and shared what I found, in case anyone else was also wondering.

  9. There’s a lot of sky is falling here. You can’t determine if Biden’s policies are leading to unemployment when the figures aren’t out and the effects of his policies won’t be felt for quite awhile plus covid is probably responsible for the majority of the economic angst right now.

Biden’s EOs merely repeal Trump’s EOs in the same way as Trump’s EOS repealed Obama’s EOs. Btw, Trump wrote 55 EOs per year Obama 35 per year. So far Biden has written 25. He’s got an other 30 to go to this year before we can call him a fascist.

In Canada, the federal gov’t is responsible for the health care of the armed services and the federal prison. They have vaccinated both. Some of my conserative friends were upset bc they felt they wer prioritizing prisoners over other people. However, its more about the divison of responsibilities as the provinces are responsible for hospitals etc. I imagine its much the same in the US — federal gov’t has its list of responsibilites and the state has its own list. And I’m sure the Gitmo guards appreciate the vaccine.

For a third world dictatorship, the soldiers are pretty comfortable with a random guy with a cell phone. Notice its the cop who tells him to cross the street not the guardsmen.

I love that tweet — “scarifices” “radical climate change” nothing like a loaded question and comment.

  10. For months, the right side of the internet has been bleating about voter fraud and how the FBI and the DOJ need to step it up. Yet when they arrested someone for delibrating misleading voters and suppressing the vote, they claim the FBI is persecuting someone for a meme. Obviously they aren’t really interested in securing elections. And if a news source tells you its about a meme you may want to discredit the news source.

“what aboutism” isn’t a logical argument. Rules are rules. But in case you think a meme is ridiculous prosecution consider this case … its about one vote not 4000
    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/mar/20/crystal-mason-texas-upholds-sentence-voter-suppression

The intellegience of those misled is not important. Every election, robocalls are used to midled voters into thinking polls have been moved at the last minute. Any attempt to delibrately mislead voters should be invesitgated and charged if appropriate.

  11. Curious what people think the Republicans should do with Greene and Boebert

Greene from Georgia has advanced some anti-Semtic conspriacies, believes in Qanon, thinks Sandy Hook and Pakrland school shootings were a false flag, California fores firest were started by space lasers, etc. A video she shot has been found where she harasses David Hogg and claims she’s carrying a gun, which in DC would probably be illegal. Somehow she was put on the education committee

Boebert from Colorado is quite similar — some Qanon and white surpemacist beliefs. She also carries a gun in violation of DC city rules. She refused to walk through a metal detector. And during the Jan 6th riot, she tweeted Pelosi’s location. If she was a high school student the later two would get her suspended if not expelled. Use of a cellphone during lockdown is a big no-no.

Speaking of the metal detactor its quite amusing to hear Republicans claim a metal detector in Congress is a violation of their rights and communist. Meanwhile every airport and high school has a metal detector — are they above the law?

  14. Since HRW brought her up, here’s a piece on Greene that a friend shared on Facebook. Despite knowing about her crazy beliefs, party officials endorsed her over her primary rival.

“Greene’s widely reported comments about the radical ideology of QAnon and other matters had not stopped a coterie of top Republicans from urging her to run . . .

Greene was “exactly the kind of fighter needed in Washington to stand with me against the radical left,” declared Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, a founding member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus. Debbie Meadows, who ran an influential political action committee and whose husband, Mark Meadows, became Trump’s chief of staff, gushed, “We cannot wait to welcome her to Congress.” . . .

Greene in 2019 endorsed the execution of Democrats . . .

Greene also began advancing baseless theories that appeal to extreme gun rights advocates: that a series of mass shootings were “false flag” events that were staged by gun control proponents. Greene said that these included the 2017 massacre in Las Vegas and the 2018 Parkland school shooting. . . .

Greene also embraced bogus claims about the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and she has posited that laser beams from space may have started California wildfires, another baseless QAnon theory. . . .

Greene said she was urged by top Republicans in Washington to switch to that race. Greene said at a GOP breakfast that “I started getting phone calls from the most conservative members in the House Freedom Caucus. Debbie Meadows – Mark Meadows’ wife – Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs,” according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Biggs, R-Ariz., is chairman of the Freedom Caucus.”

Greene is a nut job I will agree. Boebert is a conservative version of sassy…but she knows the Constitution and she knows her rights as a citizen. She did not tweet the location of Pelosi…that is false…the all trusted Snopes fact checker will clarify that one too…
    Statement by Boebert:
The violence that took place on January 6th was indefensible and these criminals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I followed the Constitution and historical precedent to object to Electoral College votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania. Some partisan officials and press have chosen to mischaracterize several of my tweets. Let me be clear: I do not support unlawful acts of violence and support the rule of law. Furthermore, my tweets came after both events referenced occurred and I never disclosed secure locations. Media outlets were also reporting the exact nature of my tweets via television. I am grateful for the service of law enforcement officers who kept us safe.”

  17. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in a Prague newspaper.

“The danger to America is not Joseph Biden, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of a Biden presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Biden, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Biden, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

  18. AJ – “So again, enough with your faux outrage.”

I am not outraged. I do not share things out of outrage, but to offer different perspectives, or things I think would be of interest. As for outrage, there is too much of it on social media, and it can actually be addictive because it stirs up a feeling of self-righteousness. “Look how awful these people are! I’m not like them!” (Sort of like the story in the Bible of the penitent sinner and the self-righteous man patting himself on the back for not being like that sinner.)

  19. AJ — Your reply was another case of “what aboutism”. You neither supported them or critized them.
NancyJill answered my question and its quite clear from her and the internet in general that Greene is considered a nutjob. McCarthny assigning her a position on the education committee to a school shooting denier is questionable leadership.

As for Boebert, its correct that she did not tweet Pelosi’s position rather she tweeted the fact Pelosi had left the chamber. Not as bad as tweeting her position but still a no-no; a high school student doing the equivilant in a lockdown would face discipline.

A number of congress people have refused to go through a metal detector. Students, travellers, and police go through this all the time. If they have a permit, they could simply show it, remove their gun and go through the detactor and then pick up their gun. Police do this all the time. Once the security become familar with them and their permit, it won’t take any more than a minute of their time. Why do Republicans think they are above the law? Just respet the rules and you won’t get in trouble.

  20. AJ — Your list of crazy things or conspiracies said by Democrats comes nowhere the absurdity of Qanon and denying Sandy Hook and Parkland shootings. Besides the “Russia Hoax” is not a hoax — Trump was far too close to the leadership of a country that normally is a rival of the US and its allies. Whether he was an “asset” will probably never be determined conclusively either way but the circumstanial evidence should have been enough to raise concern. Ironically, the “Russia Hoax” has far more credibility than the Birther conspriacy peddled by Trump.

And vice versa with those on the right (such as on this blog). You don’t see me responding to someone like YA, so you may think I lean too far left, and she doesn’t see me responding on here, so she assumes I lean too far right.

Btw (and this is a general statement), not being far-right is not the same as being liberal/leftist. And vice versa. And yet, folks on each side assume that someone who is not as far right or as far left as they are must hit for the other side.

A lot of the time, I share something to share a different perspective that may be worth considering, even if you (that’s a general “you”, not specific to anyone in particular) don’t change your mind on a matter.

(I hope that no one here totally dismisses everything HRW has to say merely because he is a leftist. That would be too bad, because now and then he does have good points that even staunch conservatives could agree with.)

  27. https://conservativedailypost.com/the-hammer-used-to-wiretap-trump-zillions-of-times-its-the-key-to-the-coup/

“Understanding why America is at the current crossroads just got a little easier… The CIA has been controlling elections since 2010, and it was only through a miracle that Donald Trump gained victory in 2016.

The American Report outlined how THE HAMMER has been used over the past decade to manipulate votes, as well as the entire political system. In fact, it’s the KEY to the coup still being attempted against President Trump:

President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper and his Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Brennan oversaw a secret supercomputer system known as “THE HAMMER,” according to former NSA/CIA contractor-turned whistleblower Dennis Montgomery.

Clapper and Brennan were using the supercomputer system to conduct illegal and unconstitutional government data harvesting and wiretapping. THE HAMMER was installed on federal property in Fort Washington, Maryland at a complex which some speculate is a secret CIA and NSA operation operating at a US Naval facility.

President Trump’s allegation that the Obama Administration was wiretapping him is not only supported by Montgomery’s whistleblower revelations about Brennan’s and Clapper’s computer system THE HAMMER, but also by statements made this week by William Binney, a former NSA Technical Director of the World Geopolitical and Military Analysis Reporting Group, by former CIA and State Department official Larry Johnson, and by Montgomery’s attorney Larry Klayman.”

Hence, “the FBI arrested a man for making a meme” instead of “the FBI arrested a man for delibrately misleading voters through a meme”. Some leftist sites do the same thing; I avoid them. I don’t like being manipulated. For all the criticism it receives on either side of the poltical spectrum, the main stream media still values accuracy over eyeballs to a screen.

  31. “The Russia Hoax” has become a giant strawman by the right side of the internet. By defining the Russian connections as a giant conspriacy, the right has made it impossible to prove. Its actually quite brilliant if done on purpose. In reality, the Russian connection to Trump and the 2016 election was never conceived as giant conspiracy rather as a few simple facts;
    1) the Russians preferred Trump to Clinton
    2) Trump’s campaign team had several connections and conversations with several Russian gov’t officials
    3) Trump had an admiration for Putin and Russian gov’t
    4) the Russians actively worked to elect Trump.
The first three are easily proven and in fact have been. The fourth is slightly contentious but there’s some evidence to suggest Russian actively managed the Clinton disinformation that was everywhere in 2016.

This essentially is the original argument by Democrats and the rationale behind the demand for greater election security (which ironically the Republicans fought). The Guardian book review I cited also brings out the long history of #3.

The fact the Republican party will support Trump, an election fraud story and fight an impeachment when they can’t find a legal team willing to use the rhetoric currently employed in the media in court should give people pause — is Trump and the Republicans telling the truth when lawyers refuse to repeat their claims in court?
