It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 85
1 You, Lord, showed favor to your land;
you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
2 You forgave the iniquity of your people
and covered all their sins.
3 You set aside all your wrath
and turned from your fierce anger.
4 Restore us again, God our Savior,
and put away your displeasure toward us.
5 Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
6 Will you not revive us again,
that your people may rejoice in you?
7 Show us your unfailing love, Lord,
and grant us your salvation.
8 I will listen to what God the Lord says;
he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants—
but let them not turn to folly.
9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.
10 Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 The Lord will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
13 Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps.
Thanks for your prayers for E. Among other things, the doctor is suggesting a pacemaker.
E was exhausted and scared last night, but wants to be healthy.
Her parents lost everything except their house when E’s firefighter boyfriend helped the Coffey Park fire engine team save their house a month ago. (I shared the newspaper story at the time)
Please pray for her parents, J and A, head elder, head of pastoral search committee, organizer of our Nicaragua eyeglass ministry, etc. and his wife, worship leader, head of Board of Ed, BSF area supervisor . . . The list goes on. The family, obviously is heavily involved in our church and The faith Life for Sonoma County.
Put a hedge of protection around your weary servants, Lord, and encourage them. Amen.
On Sunday in our Zoom SS class on Daniel 6 (handwriting on the wall), one of the other elders (there are 5 in the class) and I sort-of took over the class, reminding all that God is in control and we can trust Him. He will be with us through fire, lions, and corrupt government, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
A closed her eyes and whispered, “Thank you.”
If God is with us, who can stand against us?

I don’t know how many of us here are familiar with Tim Challies, but I just read that his only son died unexpectedly yesterday. Let’s pray for the Tim and Aileen and their family.

Nightingale has a date this evening with a man she has met through a friend. Please pray for her safety, and that if this man is not God’s will for her, they will not “click”. (And if he is, they will.) Thank you.
