  1. Exactly. It ain’t Republican rioters they’re worried about.

    “RED MIRAGE?
Across America, stores in urban areas are being boarded up in anticipation of rioting following tomorrow’s election. It isn’t disappointed Trump voters store owners are worried about. They are taking precautions because they think President Trump may win.

Democratic leaders, meanwhile, are increasingly nervous. Turnout in heavily Democratic areas of several states has been unexpectedly light. No one is enthusiastic about Joe Biden, while Trump is drawing unprecedented crowds and generating lots of excitement. It seems that in response, the Democrats are formulating a strategy to excuse their defeat and to try to seize power. This morning, Trump’s deputy campaign manager Justin Clark sent out this “Trump campaign statement on Democrat plans to delegitimize Election Day results.”

Democrats are panicking because Joe Biden has not run up a large enough lead in early votes in battleground states and they know that President Trump’s in-person votes on Election Day will make up the difference and propel him to victory. Biden’s political operatives have already been distributing talking points and research to delegitimize Election Day results by coaching surrogates to refer to the President’s Election Day success as a ‘Red Mirage.’ The operatives are advising surrogates and media to create a smoke screen by casting blame all around – imagining postal delays or falsely claiming that mail-in ballots that have simply not been returned should be considered legitimate votes that need to be counted. None of this will be true, but it will be held up as proof that President Trump’s victory is a so-called ‘Red Mirage.’ No one should fall for it.

We are aware that Democrats have already cut television ads they are prepared to deploy to further cement the ‘Red Mirage’ misinformation, seeking to convince people that all Joe Biden would need for victory is more time, extending well beyond Election Day. At the same time, we fully anticipate that Democrats will be in court arguing to extend deadlines for accepting and counting votes mailed and received well past deadlines enacted by individual state laws. Americans should remember that Biden has assembled a massive team of lawyers who will try to loosen election integrity so they can steal this election, and also recall that Hillary Clinton advised Biden not to concede defeat ‘under any circumstances.’ The last gasp of the Biden campaign will be ugly and it will be ruthless.”

  2. Another bad idea from Democrats.

    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/28/biden-democrats-financial-data-collectors-433302

“Three credit reporting giants that collect financial data on 220 million Americans face a major crackdown if Democrats regain power in Washington, with Joe Biden and senior lawmakers calling for a sweeping industry overhaul.

Equifax, Experian and TransUnion play a pivotal role in providing credit histories that lenders use to vet potential borrowers. Democratic lawmakers and consumer watchdogs warn that a system dominated by three companies breeds erroneous and harmful financial information about millions of people who may lose access to mortgages and car loans. They say it also amplifies economic disparities and financial discrimination faced by people of color, who may lack credit histories in the first place.

Industry critics now see in a “Blue Wave” scenario their best opportunity in years to enact new safeguards after congressional Republicans derailed earlier efforts.

Leading the charge to revamp credit reporting are House Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), who is in line to head the Senate Banking Committee if Democrats win back Congress. The liberal lawmakers want comprehensive changes to rules governing the industry, starting with a temporary suspension of negative credit reporting as part of coronavirus relief legislation. They’ve gotten a boost from Biden, who is calling for the creation of a government-run credit reporting agency to compete against the private firms.

“The next Congress must enact bold, comprehensive legislation to reform a credit reporting industry that has failed working families and that perpetuates systemic racism and economic inequality,” Brown told POLITICO. “And that includes taking up Joe Biden’s proposal for a public credit registry.”

The way Democrats approach the powerful industry will be a key indicator of how aggressively they plan to take on corporate interests and address consumer woes. It’s poised to be a major lobbying fight, with banks also opposed to big changes to credit reporting.”

  3. The 6 battlegrounds for today….

“You’ll want to keep an eye on six states above all others in Tuesday’s election — and possibly in the days afterward.

These states — the Great Lakes battlegrounds of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and the Sunbelt battlegrounds of Arizona, Florida and North Carolina — are more likely than any others to determine whether Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Joe Biden captures an Electoral College majority.

They account for every one of the 15 top markets in the presidential ad wars in the closing weeks of the campaign, according to the Wesleyan Media Project. And they’re where Trump and Biden have made the most recent visits in the run-up to Tuesday.

These six states represent 101 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win.”

“#WalkAway Founder Brandon Straka: Hillary got my vote in 2016, here’s why I’m voting for Trump in 2020

The election of Trump brought my world crashing down in more ways than one”

“In 2016 I voted for Hillary Clinton. At the time, it was safe to say this out loud. Actually, it still is.

Much safer, in fact, than admitting to voting for Donald Trump four years ago or saying that I am voting for Trump this time around.

But I am. I am casting my ballot for President Trump’s reelection. The fact that this is a difficult — even scary — thing for many people to say out loud is a significant factor in my decision.”

    ———-

“One of the greatest weapons available for all these groups to utilize is the contortion of social justice issues.

In truth, there is a universal misinformation campaign created by the liberal media to keep Black, Brown and LGBT people and immigrants believing they’re trapped in a racist, bigoted society and structure of systemic racism from which they cannot break free or overcome — a prison designed by the Republican Party.

In order to control America, leftists have to create anarchy. To create anarchy, they need people to be angry and afraid. For people to be angry and afraid, they have to believe that they’re in danger. And to make people feel in danger, the left has to constantly lie to them.

The left needs to bring more people into this country and immediately get them hooked on the welfare system. Make them believe America will never truly accept them because of the color of their skin or where they came from. Promise them hope and opportunity — then give them a lifetime of government dependence.

Suddenly, it all came into focus for me. In seeing the truth about the Democrats, I saw the truth about Donald Trump — a man who knew for many, many years everything I had just discovered. The man who gave up living in peace and luxury with his beautiful wife and family to fight against the forces of darkness trying to destroy America. And this is why the left-wing media set forth to destroy him and attack his character.

In telling the truth about what I had discovered, I lost nearly every friend I had.

It was a devastating blow, but to me, the truth is just too damn important. It’s worth everything. And it’s worth losing everything.

To me, this is what is on the line Tuesday. Everything. Everything that we cherish and hold dear as Americans because the left has nothing to offer the American people but lies. So you see, this election isn’t only about the issues for me.

I’m proudly voting for President Trump’s reelection because a vote for Trump is a vote for truth.”

Tense Contest Between Trump, Biden Gives Way to Peaceful Election Day

President thanks campaign staff while Democratic nominee blitzes battleground state of Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON—Tens of millions of Americans headed to the polls Tuesday to decide whether President Trump or Democrat Joe Biden will occupy the White House for the next four years, as well as to determine control of Congress and nearly a dozen gubernatorial offices.

After a long and tense election season, the day appeared to lack major voting glitches, cyber meddling or disruptions at polling sites. Americans chose between a president promising another four years of immigration restrictions and populist trade policies and a former vice president pledging trillions of dollars in new spending and a more conventional leadership style. About 100 million people, a record number, had already cast their ballots before Election Day. …

The first U.S. election held amid a pandemic in more than a century helped spark a surge in Americans casting their ballots by mail and through early voting. Several states have raised concerns about their ability to quickly count ballots, and both parties have dispatched teams of lawyers to battleground states as they prepare for postelection legal challenges. …

  9. Biden in evidently not a factor in this election.
It appears to me that most voters fall into two categories, all concern Trump.
Some people like Trump and what he’s doing. They will vote for him.
Some people don’t like Trump under any circumstance and will vote against him.
Who know who will run the country if Trump loses?

But.I do agree its time for Pelosi and other boomers to retire and let the millenials take over. Young women elsewhere are doing an amazing job perhaps that’s what America needs

  14. I should also point out Kavanaugh’s latest judgment further reduced the credibility — he misrepresented a Vermont election law and had to correct his opinion; a mistake he could have easily avoided if he had googled it. And in the same judgment, he wrote that to count votes later in the process might “flip” an election — as Kagan pointed out; you can’t flip an election if its not over and its not over unless you count all the votes. Barrett’s actions post swearing in also did not help — twice she appeared with Trump in campaign style events. Even Republican pundits questioned her judgment — she no longer needed Trump; why give the appearance of bias. Democrats called for her to recuse herself in Trump related court cases prior to these events, and you can be sure these incidents will be the first ones mentioned.

Biden will win the popular vote by 5-7 million and most of these voters do not view the Supreme Court as a credible body.

  19. Texas a tossup?

    Nope. 🙂

Trump’s up 3 with 55% in, including most of the blue areas. His lead is expected to expand now.

Fox is calling NC for Trump now too. Georgia and Ohio won’t be long either.

PA will of course try to defraud the country and we won’t know until Friday.

  20. The map at Fox shows 109 electoral votes “called” for Trump, 129 for Biden. A bunch more maps are light pink or baby blue (Texas and Florida both pink at the moment, as is Michigan–Texas was light blue earlier, but I was surprised at that, as that seems almost a given for Trump). The western states haven’t closed polls yet, so they mostly are still white, but of course most of those will go for Biden. But if Trump gets all the one that have been called for him, plus all the “pink” ones, that gets him to 279 (he needs 270), and that’s before any of the western states. So he could afford to lose one of the pink ones, probably any of them except Florida or Texas. So Florida might be the decisive vote again.

  21. Oh, and the Vegas odds, which had favored Biden by anywhere from 74% to 60%, has now flipped those odds. Trump is now the favored to win with a 64% chance. 🙂

  23. Cheryl,

Frank Luntz explained that nicely earlier. He says in those light blue and pink states the early voting was mostly Dems, and those votes were counted first, so they showed an imperfect picture of the state. Now that the in person votes are coming in, the states are blushing and turning red. 🙂

  24. Penn stopped counting their mail in votes. And will resume at 9 am. So im off to bed as that will decide it looks like Arizona but not NC. Im optimistic my win270 map will work. Michigan also needs to count their mail in votes yet.

But yeah no winner tonight try tomorrow night

And while it’s still not clear, in fact it could still very much go either way (and legal action will surely be part of all this), I’m seeing some folks on social media declaring they’ll be moving to Canada, another person saying she is trying to “step away from the ledge.” LAPD is bracing for possible civil unrest, they have already closed off one part of the city tonight.

  27. It’s after 1:00 here. I don’t think we’ll have any certainty tonight. Just saw James Carville talking about how optimistic he is (gonna rescue the country), and I have no idea whether the absentee ballot votes will change any states that have been called. Certainly it looks like the numbers are there for Trump, but I can’t see behind the scenes at all. I’ll probably be up another half hour or so. I do like to “know” before I go to bed, but I suspect that isn’t possible tonight.

  28. I went to bed as usual, since nothing was going to be finished last night. I found it interesting to hear this morning from someone on Facebook, that every single race, that was voted on in person, in our township was won by the Republican. He does not know about the absentee ballots. That is a huge change around here.
