Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

My mind won’t let me say the “modern” version of Ps. 23.
It isn’t poetry.

Today Nightingale finally starts her classes for working towards her RN degree, which will probably take her eight to ten years, as she does it part-time. (These are online classes that she can take at any time of the day.) I’m sure she must be nervous.
Please pray for her to be able to concentrate and learn well, and that the added responsibility and stress will not spill over into our relationship. (As for me, I am prepared to have Boy down here more often than usual, and usual is pretty often to start with.)
Also, please pray that she will be able to find a better-paying LPN job. She has been told that the place she works pays on the low end of the scale. But she would also need the determination to start actively looking for a new job, which can be a difficult undertaking, especially with all the other things she currently has on her plate.
And of course, please pray that through (or despite) all she has going on, the Holy Spirit will draw her to Jesus. Thank you.

Oops. I’m a day off. She starts her classes tomorrow. But today she is going to make sure everything is all set to begin. For instance, there is a code she needs for some reason which she doesn’t have yet, so she is going to see if that is available now, and if not, email the proper person to get the code.

Prayer for husband. He has the one year old, the two nine month olds, the nineteen, and now a little two year old has been added. Apparently his baby sitter had a sudden medical condition so he got volunteered (daughter’s friend is the mom). And so it goes. When it rains it pours. I personally find it amusing but were it me, I would find it overwhelming. So pray for him. He had his infusion yesterday so should be tired today.

Please pray for relief from back pain and spasms for my neighbor Tonya. She posted about it on Facebook, and I said I would pray. Hoping and praying that God will give her relief, and she will know within her heart that it was due to prayer.

My co-worker and his wife just had their first baby today! I was so excited and anxious today. I wonder what I will be like when grand babies are on their way.
Thanking God for safe delivery and that all are doing well.
