“Seattle Launches Investigation After Supply Van Full Of Weapons Found Trailing Behind Rioters”
“Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and Police Chief Carmen Best held a press conference Wednesday to announce an investigation was being launched into the riots which took place in the city over the weekend. One aspect of the weekend’s events the Police Chief discussed was a van which was seen following a small group of violent rioters. Witnesses saw people taking weapons out of the van and police later seized it and found it was full of homemade weapons and armor.
On Wednesday, Best told reporters that officers saw a van following a group of protesters around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, before it stopped outside the East Precinct. At about the same time, she said, explosions started going off outside the precinct.
Best said a witness later told police they had seen baseball bats and explosives inside the same van earlier in the day.
Police later impounded the van and, after obtaining a search warrant, discovered firework pyrotechnics, smoke bombs, stun guns, bear and pepper spray, makeshift spike strips and gas masks, Best said…
Seattle Police Sgt. James Lee, who works with the department’s arson/bomb squad, said his team also found remnants of a Molotov cocktail that exploded near King County’s juvenile detention facility, which is under construction.
Sgt. Lee discussed photos of items found in the van, including a taser and homemade spike strips which were intended to flatten the tires of police bikes. Lee also showed photos of canisters of bear spray which he said had been “causing burns and itching and stinging to their face and exposed skin.” Chief Best interjected that the use of bear spray on human beings was a “federal offense.”

“Police arrested two women Monday accused of beating a state senator as he tried to take video of a crowd that had torn down statues during a protest over racial injustice.
People in the crowd attacked state Democratic Sen. Tim Carpenter of Milwaukee after he recorded them in June. They kicked and punched Carpenter in the head and he later required surgery.
Police released photos of two suspects, who turned themselves in Monday after they were identified by members of the public, according to the Madison police.
Police arrested Samantha R. Hamer, 26, and Kerida E. O’Reilly, 33, on suspicion of being parties to the crimes of substantial battery and robbery with use of force. They were both in custody Monday night, according to online records from the Dane County jail.”

“Attorney General William Barr reiterated this week that he wouldn’t wait until after the election to release the report of U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is investigating the origins of the Russia collusion story. This has Democrats nervous and preemptively saying that anything Durham finds will be the result of a political witch hunt.
Democrats have a lot invested in the Russian collusion narrative and to have it officially debunked would be very damaging to their election prospects.

How much of the information from Mueller’s investigation proved to be wrong or inaccurate?
It’s refreshing to have a professional like Durham conducting the investigation.

And over the first year of the project, from March 2019 through February 2020, more than two-thirds of the “Obama-Trump” voters said they would take Trump over Obama in a hypothetical match-up.
While most are still in Trump’s camp, they cannot be counted on to support the incumbent. After all, they made a big leap between 2012 and 2016, and could do so again in 2020. Additionally, many of these voters have yet to hear Biden make his case, and some may still be impacted by the economic and health consequences of the pandemic.
Beyond the numbers, though, it’s critical to understand why so many of them continue to support Trump.
They think a businessman is best suited to turn the country around economically. They feel Covid-19 was not Trump’s fault, and he’s doing the best he can to contain it. They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops. They don’t want historic monuments torn down. And they dismiss defunding the police as ridiculous.
These voters tell me they want America finally to be put first; they oppose immigration and trade policies they say give benefits to foreigners at their expense. And they want a non-politician who relentlessly fights back, after witnessing too many office holders fold in the face of special interests.
These voters may sound like typical Fox News watchers, but, significantly, the overwhelming majority are not. Many are, instead, people who get their news disproportionately from local television, regional websites and Facebook. Compared to the kinds of people who seek out news from national cable channels, many swing voters reside in a national politics desert.
In short, while America’s political media generate a pipeline’s worth of information daily, these swing voters consume merely a trickle.”
“Poll: Majority say they are concerned about rising crime in US cities”
“A majority of Americans say they are concerned about rising crime in U.S. cities, according to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released exclusively to The Hill on Monday.
Seventy-seven percent of respondents say they are concerned that crime is rising in the nation’s cities, while 46 percent of respondents said they were concerned about rising crime in their own communities.
“At the same time they see an increase of violence and crime and are concerned that prosecutors are not prosecuting the crimes — they blame the protests and the high unemployment when asked what is responsible for the spike in violence,” said Harvard CAPS/Harris polling director Mark Penn. “They also single out social media for being used to coordinate violence and in their view not doing much to curb it.”
A New York Times analysis published earlier this month showed that overall crime down is done 5.3 percent in 25 large U.S. cities in relation to last year. Violent crime was down 2 percent, according to the findings.
However, murder in the same 25 cities is up 16.1 percent compared to 2019, according to the Times.
New York’s homicide rate for the first half of 2020 is up 23 percent over 2019, according to the city’s police department.
New York police reported 205 citywide shooting incidents in June 2020, compared to 89 in June 2019, marking a 130.3 percent increase. Burglary in the city also increased, with 1,783 incidents reported in June 2020 compared to 817 in June 2019.
In Chicago, homicides rose 39 percent between the last week of June and the first week of July of this year, according to the city’s police department.
The development come as calls to defund police departments amid nationwide protests over racial injustice grow louder. The Trump administration, in turn, has touted a staunch “law and order” message.”

Now, if one city in NJ can swing the vote by disallowing over 3,000 votes, or like Cali. where it was a 100,000 votes, just imagine what you could do with a coordinated effort in a state where Trump only won last time by slim margins.
Like NH, where Trump won by only 2701 votes. A decent fraud effort statewide like the one in NJ could have easily swung several other states as well.

AJ, not all of us ARE getting together for protests and funerals. And who says it’s a good thing (or even an acceptable thing) for people to get together in huge crowds, or crowded smaller gatherings, for protests and funerals? We are still in a pandemic, and quite a few of us live in places where the numbers are the highest yet, not going down.

It’s your choice whether you go out to do those things, but you, like Democrats, have no right to tell others they can’t because of your personal choices.

Apparently mail in voting has worked well in Oregon for the last 20 years. We don’t have it here — except if away for voting day. My daughter mailed in her ballot from Scotland. I’m not a big fan of mail in voting, there’s something about walking over to poll station and casting a ballot. ,Manpower is need for mail in ballots but its also needed to run an in person election — without manpower lines stretch. Here we pay a honorarium for people to act as poll clerks — probably $100 or so. They are mostly retirees so it can be slow moving no matter how many are there. In the end this is all about laying the groundwork to dispute the legitimacy of the election.
Police have to stop being surprised or I will question their intelligence. Protesters preparing for a protest by handing out shields and gas masks? Of course, when police respond to non-violent protests with tear gas then you wear a gas mask. If they start use batons you grab a shield. Use rubber bullets, wear kevlar and helmets. The police generally start the escalation.
Bear spray may be a federal offence but tear gas is a war crime. And the latter was used first.
I reminded of a DHS official who was upset protesters were throwing (via hockey and lacrosse sticks) gas canisters and blowing tear gas back (with leaf blowers). He was concerned his officers may suffer injuries and choke — not realizing the best way to avoid this is for the federal officers not to give the protesters tear gas.
As for fireworks, even the larger mortar style stuff, again the federal officers started with flashbangs. And they’re surprised protesters would throw something similar back? You can by the stuff at your local store on the way to the protest…..
Possession of bear spray or pepper spray can come in handy if you are abducted on the street by people who refuse to identify themselves and have no ID. Its self defense — who knows it could be right wing militia types trying to provoke more violence. Young women especially should be carrying and using the stuff — lots of weirdos out there using the protests as cover, never can be too safe
And the beauty of capitalism is all these things are available at your local Walmart or hunting store.
In hot spots, church should be cancelled. Here they enforce social distance at churches — many have two instead of one service, splitting the congregation. The mosque next door is doing the same thing — several shifts for Friday prayer, you must register ahead and they check temperature at the door. (I was taking my dog for a walk when I saw their entry procedure) Funerals should be allowed under any circumstance — you can have a small family gathering — I’ve gone to graveyard services with 15-20 people. Its outdoors and there’s always room in a cemetery.

Focus groups can be useful but I’m not sure he’s reading his own groups properly. In two articles you’ve posted on Obama-Trump voters, Trump has lost about 25% of these voters. He needs to keep 100% of his voters to win Michigan and Pennsylvania. If even 5% go Democratic or stay home, he loses. And if the youth, black and Hispanic vote increases in the Rust Belt (they stayed home for Clinton) he’s in even more trouble and may require in an actual increase in white votes and that probably won’t happen.
The vote is tightening up. This may be due to the perception crime is increasing and the scenes of riots in Oregon may increase Trump votes in Ohio (which as Oregon politicians stated was the plan by sending in federal agents). Crime may have increased from last year but again its much lower than the 70s and 90s. Compare NYC then and now, Chicago is actually an outlier. Its interesting that Trump is suddenly banging the law and order drum so close to an election — he doesn’t care about major cities, they don’t vote for him, but the critics of big cities do vote for him.
I’ve seen some of the same documents and tweets etc. What I found interesting is they are still redacting some of the other participants. They are still protecting people — why? and who? Elites always get more protection but if you have unmasked Prince Andrew why not the rest?

“Come November, half of America will be delighted by the election results, and half will be dismayed.
But unless the Electoral College ends in a tie, no one should be surprised by the outcome. That’s because this election is likely to be close, and it’s fully plausible either candidate could win.
Pollsters are consistently telling us Democratic nominee Joe Biden is far ahead. I’m not looking to pick a fight, as their sample sizes are much larger than mine. That said, as a focus group moderator, I’m hearing strong support for President Donald Trump from a critical sliver of the electorate.
For reference, focus groups are early-detection systems of shifting public opinion. Before something important appears in polling, it often bubbles up first in focus group conversations.
And, each month for the past 17 months, I’ve had a unique window into the Americans largely responsible for giving the president his slim Electoral College victory: so-called “Obama-Trump” swing voters across the upper Midwest.
Our Swing Voter Project has uncovered that many of these people, who live in places such as Canton, Ohio; Davenport, Iowa; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Macomb County, Michigan, prefer Trump over Biden. In fact, 22 of 33 respondents in these four most recent locations feel this way.
And over the first year of the project, from March 2019 through February 2020, more than two-thirds of the “Obama-Trump” voters said they would take Trump over Obama in a hypothetical match-up.
While most are still in Trump’s camp, they cannot be counted on to support the incumbent. After all, they made a big leap between 2012 and 2016, and could do so again in 2020. Additionally, many of these voters have yet to hear Biden make his case, and some may still be impacted by the economic and health consequences of the pandemic.
Beyond the numbers, though, it’s critical to understand why so many of them continue to support Trump.
They think a businessman is best suited to turn the country around economically. They feel Covid-19 was not Trump’s fault, and he’s doing the best he can to contain it. They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops. They don’t want historic monuments torn down. And they dismiss defunding the police as ridiculous.
These voters tell me they want America finally to be put first; they oppose immigration and trade policies they say give benefits to foreigners at their expense. And they want a non-politician who relentlessly fights back, after witnessing too many office holders fold in the face of special interests.
These voters may sound like typical Fox News watchers, but, significantly, the overwhelming majority are not. Many are, instead, people who get their news disproportionately from local television, regional websites and Facebook. Compared to the kinds of people who seek out news from national cable channels, many swing voters reside in a national politics desert.
In short, while America’s political media generate a pipeline’s worth of information daily, these swing voters consume merely a trickle.”

Seventy-seven percent of respondents say they are concerned that crime is rising in the nation’s cities, while 46 percent of respondents said they were concerned about rising crime in their own communities.
“At the same time they see an increase of violence and crime and are concerned that prosecutors are not prosecuting the crimes — they blame the protests and the high unemployment when asked what is responsible for the spike in violence,” said Harvard CAPS/Harris polling director Mark Penn. “They also single out social media for being used to coordinate violence and in their view not doing much to curb it.”
A New York Times analysis published earlier this month showed that overall crime down is done 5.3 percent in 25 large U.S. cities in relation to last year. Violent crime was down 2 percent, according to the findings.
However, murder in the same 25 cities is up 16.1 percent compared to 2019, according to the Times.
New York’s homicide rate for the first half of 2020 is up 23 percent over 2019, according to the city’s police department.
New York police reported 205 citywide shooting incidents in June 2020, compared to 89 in June 2019, marking a 130.3 percent increase. Burglary in the city also increased, with 1,783 incidents reported in June 2020 compared to 817 in June 2019.
In Chicago, homicides rose 39 percent between the last week of June and the first week of July of this year, according to the city’s police department.
The development come as calls to defund police departments amid nationwide protests over racial injustice grow louder. The Trump administration, in turn, has touted a staunch “law and order” message.”

Now, if one city in NJ can swing the vote by disallowing over 3,000 votes, or like Cali. where it was a 100,000 votes, just imagine what you could do with a coordinated effort in a state where Trump only won last time by slim margins.
Like NH, where Trump won by only 2701 votes. A decent fraud effort statewide like the one in NJ could have easily swung several other states as well.

AJ, not all of us ARE getting together for protests and funerals. And who says it’s a good thing (or even an acceptable thing) for people to get together in huge crowds, or crowded smaller gatherings, for protests and funerals? We are still in a pandemic, and quite a few of us live in places where the numbers are the highest yet, not going down.

We’re told we can’t in our state and many others, yet here they are on an 8 city tour doing exactly what they tell us we can’t do.
And frankly I’m a little shocked you needed that explained.
It’s your choice whether you go out to do those things, but you, like Democrats, have no right to tell others they can’t because of your personal choices.
I know of at least 2 families who had to bury loved ones without ever getting to say goodbye and hold a service. But that’s OK for politicians? No, if it’s wrong for some, it’s wrong for all, and if it’s OK for some, then it should be OK for all. You should decide. My body, my choice, right?
At least you are consistent. But the same House Democrats who won’t meet to do their jobs have no problem spending hours shoulder to shoulder for a photo op. It’s grossly hypocritical.

But if we have mail in ballots, it may turn out that everyone in our church address book may have voted for the same person.
There is no way to control it. Voting is a personal event. Everyone must be counted. But only once.

We sent an absentee ballot in once when we were gone for the election. One senator on the ballot died in an air crash. Another name was added in his place. Things can change considerable when people are voting weeks before an election.

Apparently mail in voting has worked well in Oregon for the last 20 years. We don’t have it here — except if away for voting day. My daughter mailed in her ballot from Scotland. I’m not a big fan of mail in voting, there’s something about walking over to poll station and casting a ballot. ,Manpower is need for mail in ballots but its also needed to run an in person election — without manpower lines stretch. Here we pay a honorarium for people to act as poll clerks — probably $100 or so. They are mostly retirees so it can be slow moving no matter how many are there. In the end this is all about laying the groundwork to dispute the legitimacy of the election.

Police have to stop being surprised or I will question their intelligence. Protesters preparing for a protest by handing out shields and gas masks? Of course, when police respond to non-violent protests with tear gas then you wear a gas mask. If they start use batons you grab a shield. Use rubber bullets, wear kevlar and helmets. The police generally start the escalation.
Bear spray may be a federal offence but tear gas is a war crime. And the latter was used first.
I reminded of a DHS official who was upset protesters were throwing (via hockey and lacrosse sticks) gas canisters and blowing tear gas back (with leaf blowers). He was concerned his officers may suffer injuries and choke — not realizing the best way to avoid this is for the federal officers not to give the protesters tear gas.
As for fireworks, even the larger mortar style stuff, again the federal officers started with flashbangs. And they’re surprised protesters would throw something similar back? You can by the stuff at your local store on the way to the protest…..
Possession of bear spray or pepper spray can come in handy if you are abducted on the street by people who refuse to identify themselves and have no ID. Its self defense — who knows it could be right wing militia types trying to provoke more violence. Young women especially should be carrying and using the stuff — lots of weirdos out there using the protests as cover, never can be too safe
And the beauty of capitalism is all these things are available at your local Walmart or hunting store.

In hot spots, church should be cancelled. Here they enforce social distance at churches — many have two instead of one service, splitting the congregation. The mosque next door is doing the same thing — several shifts for Friday prayer, you must register ahead and they check temperature at the door. (I was taking my dog for a walk when I saw their entry procedure) Funerals should be allowed under any circumstance — you can have a small family gathering — I’ve gone to graveyard services with 15-20 people. Its outdoors and there’s always room in a cemetery.

The corporate world has decided Trump is not good for the bottom line anymore. The Ayatollah has a large audience and the rest of us ignore him so yeah let him tweet and let the Persian money flow.
Focus groups can be useful but I’m not sure he’s reading his own groups properly. In two articles you’ve posted on Obama-Trump voters, Trump has lost about 25% of these voters. He needs to keep 100% of his voters to win Michigan and Pennsylvania. If even 5% go Democratic or stay home, he loses. And if the youth, black and Hispanic vote increases in the Rust Belt (they stayed home for Clinton) he’s in even more trouble and may require in an actual increase in white votes and that probably won’t happen.
The vote is tightening up. This may be due to the perception crime is increasing and the scenes of riots in Oregon may increase Trump votes in Ohio (which as Oregon politicians stated was the plan by sending in federal agents). Crime may have increased from last year but again its much lower than the 70s and 90s. Compare NYC then and now, Chicago is actually an outlier. Its interesting that Trump is suddenly banging the law and order drum so close to an election — he doesn’t care about major cities, they don’t vote for him, but the critics of big cities do vote for him.
