Prayer Requests 7-6-20

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 130

A song of ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice.
   Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

  1. Prayer for husband, he is shuttling today. He is in desperate need of a people break. That is big for a servant. Daughter is extremely needy. She wants nothing to do with me as I do not concede to her demands. Nor with her worker, who has not even been here in weeks because daughter has such an attitude with her, it is a waste of time. So all of her energy is on husband. Prayer that he will stay strong and that we can find another worker. And daughter, as expected, no longer has an interest in being Catholic, apparently.

  2. I have made an appointment to have a difficult for me conversation this afternoon regarding the childish behavior here at work. I have no problem standing up for and defending another person. When it comes to standing up for or defending myself I am not good at all.

  3. Praying for ya’ll this day.
I made an appt with my doctor…a virtual tele appt…so we will see one another on the screen of our computers…this will be interesting. Feeling dizzy and sluggish today but at least I can move around….

  4. Prayers for the requests above. God is working on the frontlines, behind the scenes, and within us (giving words from the Holy Spirit when we must have difficult conversations). My Bible study leader uses the expression, “Nothing surprises God.” That is ever true. May you each feel His peace overriding anxious thoughts as your cares are turned over to Him for His best resolution. We are His and He cares for us.

  5. I did a video conference w/my GP on the phone when I torqued my knee.

Speaking of which, the weekend was fine — pain but not as bad as it’s often been — but then the knee woke me up in the night and I had to take a pain pill. Finally got back to a fitful sleep at around 4 or 5 a.m., I think; good thing I didn’t commit to being physically present as a ‘pool’ reporter at the shelter opening first thing in the morning. I covered it via livestream which worked fine and without all the running around (especially since the editor also wanted me to livestream-cover an la school district talk right after that).

Feeling better now — so just overall prayer that this knee condition will somehow continue to improve, even with ups and downs, and I can get past it at some point.

Let us know how it goes, Kim.

    Praying also for all.
