  1. I see on FoxNews where someone destroyed a statue of George Washington.
I have to confess, my attitude toward some of these now is definitely Un-Christian.
I have no sympathy for them and wish for evil to overtake them and their kind.
That is not a good attitude, I know.
It makes for conflict and we have enough of that already.

    But still?????

  2. It may be that we are discovering that people ar incapable of governing themselves.

Someone once said, “Self government can work until people discover that they can write themselves checks from the bank.”
That may be only part of the problem.

But it was a good run. I’m glad I lived in the epoch when America was a great nation.
One of the problem is that we tried to save the world. That kind o money doesn’t exist.

  3. I have the sweetest women in the world.
    Whole wide world!1
Her mind is mostly gone, but she is still a sweet personality.
I have been immensely blessed. Some people in that condition get difficult.

  4. 😦 All this division.

😦 Picking political partners by race/gender or other foolishness.

😦 Lack of history education for our young people and way too many of our government leaders.

🙂 Psalm 37 and other scriptures that give me hope.

  5. Sitting at the dinner table Thursday evening our 16 year old told us that Christopher Columbus killed Native Americans on purpose. Chris killed them all. He learned this in both Las Vegas schools and here in California schools.

    Howard Zinn?

  6. Absolutely. Puritans were bad because they told people to leave who did not want to cooperate with their rules in their communities. We learned that from public school students twenty five years ago. It has been a long time coming. But we are reaping what we sowed.

  7. 🙂 Summer is here!

🙂 Our “personal shopper” brought us groceries. He somehow didn’t print part of the list, so when he brought us what he had bought, he told us it’s a “short list” this week. Round two brought us the rest of it.

🙂 We now have fruit again. Bananas, cherries, apricots, peaches, blueberries, and a pineapple.

🙂 I had a good conversation with my youngest brother. He said the family reunion was a lot of fun.

  8. 🙂 My son’s family’s new puppy is adorable and may be smarter than the rest of our family combined.
🙂 I resisted the impulse to get a puppy myself. More pressure when I discovered any payment for the puppy was a donation to the Christian camp our friends manage . . . .

🙂 😦 No puppy here–but I can visit my son’s house any time I want!

    🙂 SUCH happy children.

🙂 House is almost back to order.

    😦 I don’t remember anything about my life prior to last week . . . 🙂

  9. Michelle – Nightingale’s dog Janie is very smart. Sometimes I could swear she knows everything we are saying. (She does recognize all our names, as well as other words.) When she is looking at me so intensely, waiting for me to figure out what she wants (to go out? food? to go upstairs?), I think she must be thinking, “Mimi is not too bright, but I love her anyway.” 😀

Heidi, on the other hand, is not the brightest bulb in the box. But Hubby and I used to say (and I still do) that what she lacks in brains she makes up for in heart. ❤
