Prayer Requests 4-4-20

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 61

Hear my cry, O God;
    listen to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth I call to you,
    I call as my heart grows faint;
    lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge,
    a strong tower against the foe.

I long to dwell in your tent forever
    and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
For you, God, have heard my vows;
    you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

Increase the days of the king’s life,
    his years for many generations.
May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
    appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.

Then I will ever sing in praise of your name
    and fulfill my vows day after day.

  1. Praise: the foal was weakening so son and dil took it to a horse breeder down the road where they were told the thing had sepsis and needed urgent treatment and the hormones would not work to get the mare lactating. They took it to a different vet who said it was fine, no sepsis indicated, the hormones would work in about ten more days, and they kept the foal to iv hydrate it and try to get it on a bottle. Educated guessing. I asked for prayer for wisdom for son and fam, and He provided. May God be glorified.

  2. Heidi is still keeping her tail down, but now I’m not sure it is due to constipation. She is still eating well, so that’s a good sign at least. Please pray for healing, that whatever is “the matter” will resolve soon. Thank you.

  3. Isn’t it wonderful and amazing that God not only cares about saving souls, but He also cares for one of His children being concerned for her dog? ❤

  4. My 12-year-old has been feeling unwell for a couple of weeks and is depressed. She told me today that she feels that the tightness in her chest is emotionally- rather than physically-based, and that she wants to do stuff but can’t get herself motivated to start doing them.

    I know she’s missing the things she used to do away from home — she’d go with me to turn my pages when I accompanied university choir, but that’s off now; there’s no Sunday School at church; and, of course, we/she can’t go visit our granddaughter/niece, whom 6th adores.

    Please pray for 6th as she weathers this new normal, and for wisdom for me in helping her the best I can while leaning on God as He works His perfect plan. Thanks.

  5. 6 Arrows – I don’t know if this will be much help, but for me, when I have something to do that I don’t want to, for whatever reason (and depression is sometimes it), I make myself do just one small part of whatever it is, to get it started. This doesn’t work with everything, but it works with a lot. With me, doing this often/usually leads to me doing the next part, as it makes it easier to continue on. And very often, the doing of it raises me out of the depression or funk I may be in.

    But that’s just me. I don’t know if this would be helpful for dear 6th, but thought I’d mention it anyway.

  6. Daughter who works in the care facility is sick today. I sent her to bed and kept baby though she is already exposed. Prayer for daughter. Prayer for baby. Prayer for me.

  7. Update on a couple things:

    Heidi’s tail has been held higher today, at least a lot of the time, if not as much time as usual. She is not constipated after all, so I don’t know what the problem was. Maybe she got hurt back there somehow, I am guessing. Thanks for your prayers. It cheered my heart to see her wagging her cute feather tail.

    Also, the coronavirus tests for those five sick patients on Nightingale’s unit came back negative. (But since there have been a lot of false negatives, they are being tested again to make sure.)
