Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 56

1 Be merciful to me, my God,
    for my enemies are in hot pursuit;
    all day long they press their attack.
2 My adversaries pursue me all day long;
    in their pride many are attacking me.

3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
4  In God, whose word I praise—
   in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?

5 All day long they twist my words;
    all their schemes are for my ruin.
6 They conspire, they lurk,
    they watch my steps,
    hoping to take my life.
7 Because of their wickedness do not let them escape;
    in your anger, God, bring the nations down.

8 Record my misery;
    list my tears on your scroll—
    are they not in your record?
9 Then my enemies will turn back
    when I call for help.
    By this I will know that God is for me.

10 In God, whose word I praise,
    in the Lord, whose word I praise—
11 in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can man do to me?

12 I am under vows to you, my God;
    I will present my thank offerings to you.
13 For you have delivered me from death
    and my feet from stumbling,
   that I may walk before God
    in the light of life.

  1. Praise: Looks like husband will be able to return this week! Then he will be under house arrest for fourteen days due to travel. Will he be able to do it? We shall see.

  2. Praying today for Kare and husband, the real and girls, others?

    I could use prayer for getting over my cough or wisdom in dealing with it. It has gotten progressively worse. No fever or headache or muscle aches and it is not a dry cough. Just my normal cold cough that often turns into bronchitis or some such. I had hoped it would be gone before husband gets home as he does not need such things.

  6. Praise that my former/retired pastor’s test came back negative. He’s at home and is able to get around on a walker, but remains weak from being hospitalized with pneumonia. Whole lot of us really love this guy.

  9. Update on something I wrote on yesterday’s prayer thread:

    It wasn’t the corona tests that they used the wrong swabs for, but another test they were doing at the same time. So they should have the results of the coronavirus tests in a couple days now, hopefully.

  11. Thank you for your prayers, I’m doing much better today. Fever is lower and aches are much less. Hopefully the worst is past. I do have to quarantine for 14 days even if the test results are negative because of false negatives.

  13. There was a triple murder in our nearby city the other day – one of the victims is our small group leader’s first cousin. She was killed along with her husband and one 3 year old grandchild. Another grandchild (5 years) is in critical condition.

    Please lift Mike & Bev up as they are hurting and trying to comfort the extended family.
