Psalm 47
A psalm.
1 Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome,
the great King over all the earth.
3 He subdued nations under us,
peoples under our feet.
4 He chose our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.
5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
sing to him a psalm of praise.
8 God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on his holy throne.
9 The nobles of the nations assemble
as the people of the God of Abraham,
for the kings of the earth belong to God;
he is greatly exalted.
Praise that husband made it home. Sounds like the little family is doing okay, but he will need to head back down Sunday as they still have no day care. Or couch. Or table. Or dishes. Etc. But they will, if he goes down.
Continue to pray for them, of course. It will be a couple years probably before the full impact of any damage to grandson is known, but he is doing a lot of the baby things. And is ahead of sister in some ways.

Please pray for Noah. He is around 10 or 11 and in need of a forever family. Right now he is out of state staying with some family. He has visited before and does not want to stay in this childless, older folks home. He is supposed to come back to his foster mother who has some doubts this would be a good arrangement. They do want to adopt him. He is supposed to come back to his foster mother, but it entails travel and is up in the air with the virus. Pray for God’s best for this little boy.

My daughter in Colorado went out walking this morning and called and talked to me while she walked. Their neighbor has the virus and one of her husbands co-workers has it. Her husband is working from home out in an insulated shed. They have four children plus a foster boy. But she has taken in three other foster children whose parents have to work. They went somewhere else for the weekend so she is having a break. Whoops, the ‘there’ meant the three extra children. Their stores are mobbed and they have been unable to get many things.

My son in Colorado had a fever yesterday and dry cough today. Unless things turn worse for him, I doubt he will be tested. But he has been self quarantining since his return from Boston a couple of weeks ago.

Debra, I have seen you peeking in here and there. How are things back your way? Only one thing on the news these days and it is not tornado recovery. Been praying for you.

Romans 9 is no easier to read now than it was 65 years ago.

IN happy news, my godson and his deaf wife had a little boy–after a long labor–Milo, happy and healthy.
My next-door neighbors, a PA and a graphic artist, expect their little boy in about 10 days. Hope, life, babies; God is good.

We had two new babies born into our church family this week, after a few months with no new babies (and as far as I know, no one else in church pregnant at the moment). Both are first babies, a boy and a girl, though one mother is the firstborn of seven (six of them girls), so she should be quite capable of caring for her own little girl.
