Prayer Requests 2-18-20

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 16

miktam of David.

Keep me safe, my God,
    for in you I take refuge.

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    apart from you I have no good thing.”
I say of the holy people who are in the land,
    “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
    I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
    or take up their names on my lips.

Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
    you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
    even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,
    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

  1. Husband and I are both so sorry of the “we against them” attitude of our children and the associated lying and sneakiness. Wisdom. Patience. Love. May the Truth come out, always. And may they see that we continue to love them, always, through the love of Christ, pointing them to Him, always.

  2. Heavenly Father, I lift up Mumsee and Mike for refreshing blessings of better behaviors from the children. Please help the children be cognizant of the damage they do to their family when they lie and act deceitful. Please give them compassion for others so they desire to make life easier for others rather than more difficult. You know their hearts and what it will take to reform them with no turning back to less than desirable behaviors. Please, Lord, lead these rebellious ones into the sheepfold of believers for their own benefit and for Your glory along with the relief of Mumsee and Mike. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Mom of student who played last Saturday asked for a reschedule of this week’s lesson to Thursday instead of tonight. (This is a follow-up to my comment late on yesterday’s prayer thread, for those interested.) Thanks for the prayers.
